Ha, it has seen the light! Definitely not bland. I love the ornaments and, now and then, that little window of filter opening, which gives it spice. Thoroughly enjoyable, especially because it is (I think) a lesser known piece.
Thanks OrzoMondo. Yes, I was "snowblind' and had stopped listening without realising. Anyway I'm glad you like it, this movement is a masterpiece and should be more well known.
This is another example of where I prefer your version to the "traditional" ones. The violin and harpsichord sonatas didn't arouse my attention (though I have them with Trevor Pinnock), but you manage to endow them with life and joy. Well done!
Thanks so much, Andreas. Yes, these trio sonatas would work better in the Organ format. Violin and harpsichord doesn't work very, well, lines are always competing with each other to be heard. Perhaps that's why they haven't become staples of the violin repertoire. Happy New Year!
Thank you for this wonderful synthesized arrangement!
Thanks ever so much. Happy New Year!
