      Thanks so, so much. The vocal patches are excellent with Logic and easy to work with. Having the the Swingles and Jon Anderson in mind helped a lot in this mix. I think this is a fugue that doesn't get played as often as the prelude, perhaps. Anyway, it's a charmer. Thanks again, OrzoMondo.

    Если бы люди могли по-настоящему оценить красоту...нет, не музыки...Во всяком случае, не только музыки, а подаренной всем нам жизни, этого великого и неповторимого чуда жизни, они бы навсегда прокляли войну и никогда бы не отнимали жизнь у себе подобных. Но человек сложен и лукав: он и в церковь ходит, и верующим себя считает, и тут же с лёгкостью нарушает главную заповедь Христа - НЕ УБИЙ!

    Bach is the master, but Monteverdi is the man. He hailed from Cremona (same birthplace of the Stradivari family), but ended up in Venice, he's buried in the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, alongside Titian and Antonio Canova. So yes, Vivaldi is the Venetian musician par excellence, but dang, Monteverdi might be considered the greatest.

      @grahamcaldecott Місяць тому

      `You might be right, I'm listening to a lot Monti at the moment most of which is new to me, including this one. It's astonishing that he was able to write this incredible piece with simplest 4 note bass pattern. The only time I've Venice was in the late 80's when I stayed right next to the Frari but back then was more keen on doing the Don't Look Now trail.

    It's almost incredible this was a contemporary of Bach - in fact it almost feels this is music without time. Marvelous! Also, I love the use of the sequencer - I know you liked it already, but I think this is its perfect use. Plus the arpeggi in the background. God, so much work ;-0

      Thanks so much. Actually I didn't know this piece until quite recently. Those 10ths in the accompaniment with that repeated melody are Romantic! so forward thinking and a million miles from Bach. The arpeggi in the background were actually a serendipitous accident and I'm sure. some will quite rightly raise an eyebrow or two. Thanks again, Orzomondo for your articulate review.
