Once again, DAW provides the possiblity to a) ascribe a specific sound/ patch to each voice and b) choose tempi that would be difficult to perform manually. Your performance is a definitive one, including the wonderful picture. Six stars!!!
Yes, after decades of playing Bach on the piano using a DAW is like having the use of a magic carpet. Thanks, so, so much, Andreas, I'm honoured.
This has always been my one of my most favorite pieces of music!
Great, I hope you like it.
About time! :) Wonderful arrangement, reminds me a lot of the style of the Swingle in the 60s.
Thanks sooo much. Yes, the amazing Swingles have got a lot to answer for. I remember hearing them doing this for the first time at a friends house in the early seventies and being captivated by that amazing sound. Yeh, a lot of nostalgia in the mix as well. I'd love to synth their version but would probably contravene copyright restrictions.
Hi Graham, what a delight! Thanks for uploading this eventful arrangement of such a popular piece. There was so much going on that my senses were diverted at every turn and I could just (figuratively) sit back and let it wash over me. Wonderful.
So glad you like this one, Karl. It's extremely gratifying to know that your intentions are being understood and enjoyed. Thanks X 100.
Свята простота! Люди ще надіються побачити в очах московських ґвалтівників невідомі почуття для них: співчуття, жалість, бажання допомогти ближньому. В очах дикого, нахабного москалика цього не було НІКОЛИ!
Ethereal beauty. Thank you Graham for bringing forward this exquisite piece, which I knew nothing about, and of which now I have the bounty of the classical interpretation and your own superb arrangement to choose from.
Dear OrzoMondo, I'm so honoured. Thank you!!!!!!!
Beauty in its purest form
Thank you! x 1000
Absolutely delightful!
Thanks so, so, so much, Andreas
This is really good! ❤
Thanks so much!!!!
amazing piece!
Thank you! Cheers!
Complimenti
Grazie mille.
❤
Thanks so much!
Horrendous
Again, I miss fast movements like these when interpreted on "traditional" instruments. But thanks to your renditions, I just love them!!!
Thanks so much, Andreas. A new piece for me but since heard Peter Hurford do it at a similar speed. I think I caught a quote of him somewhere describing it " like angels dancing." Anyway a masterpiece.
Wow, just wonderful!
Thanks SOOOOOOOO much
Thank you for this! 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks!!!
I love your pieces and your channel 👏and Bach 😊 Do you really make this music without a keyboard? Fantastic! I love the idea of "composing" directly on the "pentagram" of the software, having immediate sound and graphic feedback...manipulating the music bricks ✨
Thank you, thank you and thank you. Yes, although I'm a pianist all these arrangements have been produced without a keyboard on my MacBook Pro. Often times times I'll be on a train or in a cafe with my headphones. No need for a keyboard and studio for me a least. Thanks again, Matsy.
@@grahamcaldecott 😊👍👍👍
I love how you manage to make everything sound so upbeat. I also love how I continuously find that there is a whole slate of music I don't know. Also: Linda Cindy Naomi, Christy - the models of a generation (mine). :)
Thanks so, so, so much, OrzoMondo. Don't you think it a shame that so many great composers are only really known for a tiny fraction of their output. I didn't know this gem either until about three weeks ago when reading through a volume of organ music. Ha,Yes, my generation also.
@@grahamcaldecott I know, honestly I dread the day in which I'll realise that there is no more Bach to discover...
❤
I'm glad you like this one. I think it's the best I've ever done.
❤
Thanks so much!
I can’t help but love your playful and upbeat style, ❤ Great job!
Thank you so much!!

Thank you.

Thanks.

Thanks.
Nice choice of timbres!! Great work, Sir!! 😃
Thanks so much!!
Ottimo lavoro!!!
Grazie mille!!
Sound, Light, Motion! Thanks Graham for this sparkling piece. Usually I dig out the score, but this time I just let the notes wash over me. Even with my poor hearing, your artful panning made its mark. Thank you!
Thanks so, so much, Karl. I didn't know this piece until about two weeks ago. Bach's 3 part organ writing is particularly appealing at the mo.
This has such a playful sound to it. Great work!
Yes, and joyful. Thanks so much, ShyHunter.
Uh, this is difficult, but, my compliments, you nailed it! I like the almost "alien" quality of it. Yes, sheep might graze, but you might meet E.T...
LOL!! soooo glad you like this. As you say this was a toughie with all the baggage of such an icon. It's not pleased everyone especially my wife who hates it and thinks I've ruined a masterpiece and reduced it to 'bubblegum/elevator' music.......am now hoping a to get a call from Ridley...
@@grahamcaldecott Tell your wife that this piece is doomed, same as the Toccata in Dm, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Albinoni's Adagio, Delibes' Flowers, and for good measure I'd put Cavalleria Rusticana in the list. With any piece that is in the hit parade of Classic FM you are damned if you do and damned if you don't :)
thank you one more time! it's beautiful
Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks.................
Bravissimo!!! Grande interpretazione e bellissima foto
Thanks so much!!!
Awesome! ✨
Thanks you!
thank you!!
You're very welcome
Thanks for this upload, Graham. I've a deliberate policy of not listening to 'overused' works like this too often, lest I tire of them. I haven't heard this in full for 5 or 6 years, so your delightful and thought-provoking excursion was genuinely welcome and enjoyable. The instruments and their sounds were beautiful and complex. Thank you.
Thanks so, so much, Karl. I'd been thinking how to do this one for about a year because it's such an icon. It's played everywhere all the time and indeed I'd become tired of it especially as I played it at so many weddings back in the eighties.
Thank you so, so much
You're welcome!
This is so peaceful! ❤
Thanks a mill.
Are those two rats dancing?
Děkuji znovu a znovu.
Wonderful application of different patches. Well done!
Thanks so much, Andreas. This was the first prelude and fugue that I really mastered.
Bravo!
Thanks, so much.
❤
Thanks so much.
Great Job!!!
Thanks so much.
Thanks for this upload, Graham. Your style is so distinctive and encouraging of reflection - I always find something to take away, technically, artistically, deeper stuff. So, a big Thank You!
Thanks sooo much, Karl, you're welcome.
This is so good!!! ❤
Thanks so much!!!
mne to pripadá ako muž ukazuje krásu čistej vody a chlapec pozorne počúva a s obdivom fascivovaný hľadí...
Ano, nevinnost a údiv dítěte zde skvěle zachycené. Vzpomínám na dětskou vizi nebe v posledním tahu Mahlerovy 4. symfonie
❤
Thank you.
I love bwv 75. Thanks!!
You're welcome.
Wonderful. I don't recall this piece although I probably must have skipped through it once. This entails a great compliment to you: you bring out the beauty in pieces where the traditional performances somehow fail. All my thumbs up!!! P.S.: I love the picture you chose.
Dear Andreas, you honour me with these comments, thanks so, so much!!!! I've been listening to this cantata and in particular this aria, (Suzuki) and have to say their performance has me playing it over and over.
Super bello
Thanks so, so much
