i met him when i was very little!! i don’t remember it but my dad used to talk to him when my brother used to play baseball with one of his kids. even though i was very young and don’t remember it, i still think it’s crazy!

His show keeps rolling on TLC in Taiwan, I never noticed they stopped airing new episodes since 2017, nor do I hear anything about his mother. It's sad to realize what have happened to them after so long time. I wish Buddy and his family all the best, God bless them.
I used to watch Cake Boss every day on TLC Buddy was really inspiring, especially since baking is not a job most people would consider relevant but it was fun. This shows you can do whatever you want in life as long as you have big dreams and the drive to make them come true.

Seeing him struggle with that hand reminded me of how his mom was after she fell heal and it was so emotional. I have watched Buddy; The Cake Boss for years but haven't watched after I left Italy few years back. I feel sad to hear about this but I am sending him lots of love and healing for his family also. I worked in Hoboken NJ during my early 20’s (95-97) and I remember seeing buddy and his family daily. I last visited Carlos bakery in 2016/17) and I got flash backs when I heard his family members talking while taking orders. They sound the same only difference is that they are in mid life ages. I wish the best for them!!
Just wanna say Buddy should win the cake competition. The other guy doesn’t make his cake art pieces nearly as edible as Buddy does. That guy just puts fondant on top of working mechanics and calls it cake. Buddy uses as much cake as he can and I respect him much more.
I really hate when we downgrade other people's work and accomplishments. Both men were so respectful of each other this year. To do what they each do is amazing. They have both built a great team of artists to accomplish what they do. They each have people that have studied and specialize in sculpture. They couldn't do what they do without the amazingly gifted people that participated with them.

Had brain surgery in 1988 and it paralyzed my entire right side. It’s 2021 and I’m still working on my right hand. I can walk but things are not the same and my right hand really doesn’t do what I want it to but compared to brain cancer I’m a happy camper. I love Buddy and I’m so glad he’s better. OMG!!! That's such a severe accident!!! Best to BV healing and returning to what gives you joy! In 1999, my boyfriend's youngest bro CUT HIS DAMN HAND *O F F* with a circular saw at work bc it wasn't properly secured. He & the detached hand were rushed to hospital, it was reattached, he had 11+ subsequent surgeries, and today he is pretty much back to normal.

Buddy is a Cake Hero. He's gone through lots of challenges by the grace of God he pulls through. His family is amazing full of amazing love and togetherness. I do understand the part he said "he and his wife got much more closer while recovering", because me and my husband went through same when he had a compound fracture on his left arm in an accident. I have to be there every moment for his needs. Buddy you are a survivor just like I tell my Husband. Keeeeeep doing what the world loves seeing you do!

In 1999, my boyfriend's youngest bro CUT HIS DAMN HAND *O F F* with a circular saw at work bc it wasn't properly secured. He & the detached hand were rushed to hospital, it was reattached, he had 11+ subsequent surgeries, and today he is pretty much back to normal.

I love his mom a lot. I love their interactions with their family and the respect they have with each other. I think Cake Boss influenced me to at least take up baking, maybe not professionally but to make delicious things for my family.

Buddy is a Cake Hero. He's gone through lots of challenges by the grace of God he pulls through. His family is amazing full of amazing love and togetherness. I do understand the part he said "he and his wife got much more closer while recovering", because me and my husband went through same when he had a compound fracture on his left arm in an accident. I have to be there every moment for his needs. Buddy you are a survivor just like I tell my Husband.
