🎉 also, congratulations on your book! I am so excited for you🎉
Thank you so much!!
Thanks 😊
Thanks for sharing the insights, which I found to be quite useful
Thank you!
Your videos are awesome! I’m getting ready to put my ebook on pre-sales and I was wondering: if I have 3 weeks for pre-sales and get a bunch of sales for that period, do they need to be spread throughout these 3 weeks? Or it doesn’t matter if I get a bunch very early on and much less at the week prior release? In other words, do I need to show steady pre-sales during the entire period or it doesn’t matter?
Great question. In my experience it doesn't matter when the sales take place. Of course only Amazon knows for sure, but my belief, based on what I have seen with my own books, is that Amazon attributes all the sales for that three week period on the day of the book launch. So if you have one sale a day during a 30 day pre-sale period, your book will behave as though it had 30 sales on the day of launch. Hope that helps.
@ yeah that’s what I read online too. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this 😊
My pleasure 😊
Thanks for this insightful video. My question is what price will the ebook be on preorder (is it 0.99 or free or the actual price I want to sell the book)?
Good question. By default, the price will be whatever you set it to when you create the ebook. In order to get it to be free you'll need to enroll in KDP select while creating your book then run a free book promotion. I hope that helps.
Hi 👋
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Does this work for fiction books too? 😊
Yes, it works for fiction as well as non-fiction!
Excellent 👍
I’ll be using your method for both fiction and non!
Thanks ☺️
Keep up the good work!
Hi! Congrats for your nr. 1!
I have a question about the activity and coloring books. Do you really recommend use this strategy? You see, Kindle has a very different format, that is, I have always bought e-books and they fit the e-book reader I am using. When I have wanted to create a “kindle” version on high content books (non fiction), I have used the “kindle creator” (basically I have to reformat them). So, activity books in general have a different size than what kindle creator allows you to do. So, I'm a little confused here...
Thanks in advance for your answer (already suscribed!!!)
Hi, great question. According to the KDP community, you are not allowed to publish a coloring book as an eBook, so I would not recommend this strategy for coloring books. I hope that helps.
@@bookauthorbusiness Great, thanks for your answer.
@@bookauthorbusiness But it works for journals, planners and activity books? My sales are not in the level I want, sorry if I make so many questions 😬
❤thank you! Did you also self publish? I have heard it’s possible to sell on Amazon KDP as well as On your own website? Did you use their FREE ISBN or purchase your own? It’s so hard to find straightforward information these days.
I have done both (sold on website and on kdp). In order to sell on your own website and on KDP, you do need to use your own ISBN. Their are services that will sell them fairly cheaply online (around $20 or less). Only use the FREE ISN if you don't plan on selling on any other channel besides Amazon. I hope that helps.
Yes, it helps greatly! Do you need an LLC? I am a little nervous about dumping my Social Security number into a massive site, but other people do it?
@@bookauthorbusiness we can also sell our kdp books on our website as digital downloads without any ISBN right?
You don't need an LLC to sell your own books. And you shouldn't need to provide your social security in order to get an ISBN number. If they ask you for that info look for another service. I hope that helps.
No. The free ISBN from KDP can only be used on KDP for distribution to Amazon and its distributors. You cannot use it with another publisher or self-publishing service according to Amazon's terms. If you want to be able to sell your kdp books on your website you need to purchase an ISBN number instead of using KDP's free ISBN. I hope that helps.

Thanks Thanks Thanks
Most welcome
is it applicable for paperback pre-order release?
Amazon does not allow pre-orders for paperbacks at this time. I hope that helps.
What exactly is the value of reaching #1 on a dead subcategory? As of my writing this, there's only two books listed! No customers are visiting the subcategory organically. I question the purpose of this except for the ability to say you have a #1 new release.
Thank you for your thoughtful question. There are a couple reasons for doing this. First: social proof: when people see a book is a number 1 new release, they are much more likely to purchase that book whether they are viewing it on the subcategory page or not. More purchases, in turn, trigger a boost in Amazon's algorithm. Second: marketing fuel: you can use the accomplishment in future marketing materials promoting the book. You could even put it on your book cover if you wanted to (i.e. - "An Amazon Number One New Release"). Most readers/customers would find that to be impressive. Third: bragging rights. This seems trivial, but it becomes important when you are marketing yourself as an author (in, for example, a query letter to agents). Your point is well taken, and, ideally, you should be in more than one category. I recommend placing your book in at least one easy to rank category and some other more competitive/visible categories as well. I hope that helps.
Respected Sir every book I published got blocked plz can you help 😢😢
Happy to help. If you have a specific question, feel free to put it in the chat. If you are need more help my email should be accessible on the channel page. Hope that helps.
I checked your book congrats. How did you get the reviews? Your book was published on the 12th and got a review the same day. When was it printed, shipped or read?😂
Thank you! Good question! I will be putting out a video very soon (hopefully this week) on how to get reviews. Keep an eye out and subscribe so you get notified when I publish it.
