Problem with leaving a statement at the beginning of the book asking for said reader's review is I would be afraid that it would remind the unhappy reader that ended up not liking the book to leave a review. Such as a Horror fan that ended up reading a Fantasy book and found that it really wasn't their cup of tea. So no, I'm not sure if I would want to leave a note at the beginning of the book. Hi, I just started on KDP with just some word search puzzle books. How do I establish reviews for puzzle books. Also, doesn't Amazon monitor how many books have been sold? And if so, how can I give someone a copy of my book via PDF off-site from Amazon and they go and leave a review without purchase and me not getting in trouble? Or is there a way to get free coupons from Amazon to give to people to review my book?
I don't understand. Everything I have read says that it absolutely forbidden to give away books in return for Amazon reviews and that these reviews will be removed. Have I got this wrong?
Question about Pubby: If I read a book that has plot issues, a few grammar errors, and saturated in cliches… and I leave a 4-star review… Does the receiving author know it was me who left the review? Can he see my books, and post revenge reviews? (I’ve had it happen to me in the past. Rated an atrocious book with a merciful 2-star-and that author went and 1-starred a fantastic book of mine.)
My question for Sean is how to know the emails of the people who buy your books. I'd love to start emailing previous buyers to let them know when I am launching new books, but I don't know who purchased the previous books. Maybe I am missing something on KDP or Amazon that shows who purchased my books.
Amazon doesnt allow you to email people who have bought your book. He is talking about a list he made of people he knows who he can ask to leave review.

Or do I send them a papercopy through mail? If the latter, how do I get? Do I have to purchase my own product from amazon kdp after it's listed?
That’s a really interesting question. You can send people paperbacks through KDP at wholesale cost and that is probably the best way for someone to review a coloring book. I would build that into your marketing budget and choose the people you ask very strategically so you can get the most from it.
Its worth it to Pay PLP membership for kick up LCB as journals, notebooks ( of course people can judge the beautiful cover) but for planners, trackers, etc it might be too expensive option right? Its wiser Jump in PLP with medium content or high content books right? what do u think Sean?

How do I offer my book for real reviews if it is only paperback (not eBook)? Do they have to purchase the book or can I provide a free book somehow from KDP.
You need to offer your book in digital form. Wouldn't really work for a physical book unless, like Sean said, you offer a Free promo for your book, either digital or physical. Yes, you will take a loss on revenue, but then you will gain reviews which should in turn, in theory, lead to more sales. It's a gamble, honestly. And it depends if your book is considered "high interest".

@@lisajmccarthy1 I contacted KDP and they told me that they do not allow low content books on Kindle. You might want to double check with them or they may terminate your account for uploading it. On the issue of restaurant cleaning, it depends on the restaurant's policy. If the restaurant is "Self Service", customers will clean the table and bring the plates to a designated area. It's not a status symbol, entitlement, or a cultural thing. Examples of different policies in Filipino restaurants are: Pay as you order Clean as you go (self-service cleaning after dining) Self-service (from ordering to cleaning) Fast food restaurants and the majority of restaurants, especially inside the malls have cleaning crews, so the above policies do not apply.

As a local guy, I don't think Americans have a bad reputation here, especially during the US base time. It takes two to tango. Women looking for jobs and men looking for pleasure. The thing "bad reputation" is popularized by activists.
not to rain on anyone's parade but here's few points: first, considering your book good or not is highly subjective; you might think that you wrote something great and it might look like trash to someone else's; secondly: if i recomend a movie i liked, yes, my friend might watch it, but doesnt mean my friend will BUY IT; thirdly: no one wants to be bothered by email messages just because they liked a book, so no, I wouldnt give away my email adress to a writer, and the whole social media begging is way dead by now, so apart from your mom; no one will give a shit 'bout yer work. Reviews are hard to come by and that's the sad reality.

Thanks for all your marketing advice! One question--if I want to have someone review a coloring book in a facebook group, do I send them the pdf version and have them print to color themselves? Or do I send them a papercopy through mail? If the latter, how do I get? Do I have to purchase my own product from amazon kdp after it's listed?
That’s a really interesting question. You can send people paperbacks through KDP at wholesale cost and that is probably the best way for someone to review a coloring book. I would build that into your marketing budget and choose the people you ask very strategically so you can get the most from it.
Exactly what made me come to this channel
@Financiallyfreeauthor how do you send the books from kdp on wholesale rate ? Tia
How do you get emails of people who read your book?
all great information, BUT, how do I get reviews for erotica?
Pornhub comments secrion
Another great video, thank you 😊
Its worth it to Pay PLP membership for kick up LCB as journals, notebooks ( of course people can judge the beautiful cover) but for planners, trackers, etc it might be too expensive option right? Its wiser Jump in PLP with medium content or high content books right? what do u think Sean?
great video, boss in children coloring book that you shown asking review. Its any compliance issue in amazon that causes termination. please describe
Pls I am also curious about this
Excellent
Pls I want know....about the review request at the end of the book page. I hope it wont lead to termination of book or account by Amazon....pls have you been asking for review at the end of every book?? Pls I need reply, thanks
No, it's perfectly allowed by Amazon. You can put a QR code in your book.
How does Pubby work if my book is not free? Do I give it as a gift to users or how exactly?
Great ideas thanks!
This is a good example😊 your first comment should be how to subscribe to this channel that's like a no-brainer I get frustrated two summits channel as I'm listening doing the dishes but I can't cuz it is super difficult. Just the tip :-) super interested in what you're doing pressing the easy button
I just found out you can't publish a coloring book/low content/printable book on amazon kindle KDP so there is no way to get it out to people for those reviews...what am I missing?
Can you tell me more... I just published a coloring book on Amazon Kindle 3 days ago and didn't have a problem
@@lisajmccarthy1 I contacted KDP and they told me that they do not allow low content books on Kindle. You might want to double check with them or they may terminate your account for uploading it. They may have changed the rules since I talked with them. I had my account terminated because an artist used a copyright illustration for one of my story books. You don't want to find yourself in my situation. If there is any doubt then take it down, its not worth the risk IMO.
You can’t publish low content ebooks, yet, but you can publish low content POD (Print On Demand) through KDP.
Hey Sean.. please answer me
I've recently published my first book on Amazon and took your advice to share a free PDF copy with people in groups on facebook to leave honest reviews on Amazon in return...
but people are keeping warning me to do that cuz if I had reviews more than sales, Amazon will ban my KDP account
is that true😢
Nice info brother.
Nice to get reviews.
Great info as always, thanks Sean
On the issue of restaurant cleaning, it depends on the restaurant's policy. If the restaurant is "Self Service", customers will clean the table and bring the plates to a designated area. It's not a status symbol, entitlement, or a cultural thing.
Examples of different policies in Filipino restaurants are:
Pay as you order
Clean as you go (self-service cleaning after dining)
Self-service (from ordering to cleaning)
Fast food restaurants and the majority of restaurants, especially inside the malls have cleaning crews, so the above policies do not apply.
Hi Sean, I look forward to looking at and learning from your videos. I know I need more reviews for my book, but I also would like your feedback on anything else it needs. I do not have an Instagram account. Please advise - thanks
Can I use Pubby for Coloring Book reviews
yes
@@shadenelkhatib7108 I tried it was worst
I’m struggling to get my high content book published. It keeps going back into draft.. any advice? It’s suuuuuper frustrating.. I can’t seem to find the problem
When it gets rejected, KDP send an email telling why it was rejected.
mine did that 3x. it was so annoying. it was because of the bleed/trim size. i swear i followed their dumb guidelines to a T. i ended up using templates from LULU and finally got approved. I swear their numbers make no sense LOL i love math and calculations. it's literally part of my job for over 15 years is creating graphic files for printing. i duno why their #'s just dont add up and worse is their online PREVIEWER approves it!!! and then u have to wait 3 days to find out it's NOT actually correct. i hope they fix that soon very disappointing from amazon.
So people can leave reviews on Amazon without buying the book from Amazon ?
wanna to ask the same thing, how people can leave view just send them a copy in pdf?
no
Great, thank you.
