Peatfield is a seemingly quiet and peaceful textile town in the Pennines. An image that is shattered, however, by a brutal murder and the discovery that witchcraft is being practiced. 👀

The Ring of Kerry is a stunning coastal drive but if you're short on time, just visit the part with the view of Connor Pass. Dingle Town is a quaint, fishing village full of tourists. Killarney Town is another nice place as, you can hire a horse and cart, to visit Killarney Lakes, the Big House, the castle ruins and the gardens. That's the highlight of a trip to Killarney. I usually love old recordings but this takes the prize for the most ham performance of the most amateurishly unconvincing script ever. I didn't know whether to cringe or laugh.
Yes. The opening scene is more like a rejected script from a Carry On film. Also if Stanton had been charged with murder he would have been represented by a barrister NOT a small town solicitor. Apart from that.....

A Detective Chief Inspector going out alone to investigate church organ music being played at 2am? Highly unlikely! The story is very weak from the start. At least two constables would have gone. A more sensible policemen would have noticed the near-by parked van, taken the licence number and probably let down the tyres so as to inhibit escape. Having noted the group doing witchcraft they would have phoned for reinforcements. Unless it was today, in which case there would not have been enough police available to investigate that night, and probably never. The Conservative government cut back the police force by at least 20,000. Today many reported crimes such as car vandalism, break ins, shop lifting etc, never get investigated. And detective chief inspectors certainly don't get involved. Hahaha! Very funny.
I can think of one Chief Inspector. Morse ! What with is love of music and if he lived near by I am sure he would investigate.
