Let's have more of Stefan Zweig, it's brilliant done this play. Close your eyes and you feel you are there
I will definitely look for some! Thanks for the feedback! Have a great day! 👋
Hi! I have searched and I cannot find any other radio plays by Stefan Zweig, I do see Audiobooks, and I "may" be able to upload some of those soon after I learn some things (I do almost everything for this channel on my Samsung Fold phone...which is basically a tablet). BUT! If I do run across any other radio plays by Stefan Zweig, I will most definitely upload them! Appreciate the feedback and also anything else that you want to hear or if there is another author or writer that you like, let me know and I will always be on the lookout. TY! -Amanda 👋❤️
@@oldtimeradioatnight your efforts and content is greatly appreciated…
I’ve been 💯 percent blind for the last 14 years. Two things bring me great joy each night. The amazing braille based technology I use to chat with friends across the globe (life changing…and saving to be true…) and your stories! I escape to another life while listening. The beauty of it? With sight or without, we ALL listen with the same two ears, and our imagination. Blessings and good health to you!
Oh my day's how can I simply change people's comments from thumb s up or down thats a ridiculous flaw in your system 😱 shocker and I am a novice to technology
XX

Superb! I've listened to this one time and again.
Thanks Amanda.
I know this comment is months late because I was on hiatus from the channel, but firstly let me say I love your UA-cam handle, it is excellent! Thank you so much for your comment I appreciate it! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ♥️ 😉
If anyone's interested and likes this story as much as I do, if
you enjoy old black and white movies, I've found this comes in a movie. (as many of these stories do) *Beware of Pity ~ 1946.* It stars Lilli Palmer and Albert Lievin as the main couple and Sir Cedric Hardwicke as the good doctor.
After listening to this audio many times, I was over the moon when I found the movie! It was on YT, I'm not sure if it still is.
Everybody raves about this story. Add me to the bandwagon. Superb play, acting elite, story compelling Bravo.
Another one of Martyn C. Webster's productions featuring alumni of both Paul Temple and the BBC repertory company.
Wonderful presentation! Thank you.
Hi Rose! I'm so glad you enjoyed it... thank you for listening! 👋😉-Amanda

You're welcome! Have a nice day! 😊
I've just started "Amok" and am intrigued by Zweig. A stunning adaptation; thanks for the upload!

@@oldtimeradioatnight Like wise Amanda ! Just bring more gems for me too listen !
Loved it.
What a story! Thanks fir uploading.
Very good. Had my total attention. He was sort of an up and down young man any ways.
Another "breakaway" Paul Temple cast recording (and produced by Martyn C. Webster)...I wonder how many other people recognized PT voices ?
BRILLIANT !! PLEASE, MORE STEFAN ZWEIG
I can definitely do! Thank you so much for listening! 👋
Once again I can not enjoy the play because of sound quality 😢
Hi! Yes I know some of the older shows just don't have good sound quality, I totally agree. But I appreciate you being here nonetheless. I've been on hiatus due to illness, and new uploads are coming soon as I've been working on it this past week. Have a good weekend! -Amanda
I too find the audio quality suffers from excessive high end making it uncomfortable to listen to.
THIS STORY IS A HARD PILL TO SWALLOW. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE AT FAULT HERE. FIRSTLY WAS THE FATHER, HE PUT SO MUCH ONUS ON THE BOY, THEN THE BOY HIMSELF. THE DOCTOR SHOULD NEVER HAD AGREED. WHEN THE HEART IS INVOLVED EMOTIONS ALWAYS GETS IN THE WAY AND RATIONAL THINKING FLYS OUT THE WINDOW. VERY SAD AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF PITY IS LAID BARE...
