      @@Snyper-if3kt yeah but your own labor has value as well. Only you can determine what that is. If you really enjoy cooking, then your labor cost for things like this will be low, because you're getting enjoyment out of the experience and not just food. If you hate cooking, your labor cost for things like this will probably be high, because you presumably would rather spend your time doing something else. People rarely factor in the value of their own labor. For example, I hate yard work and my allergies make mowing the lawn a very unpleasant experience. So it's worth it to me to pay someone else to do it. Could I do it myself cheaper? Only if I don't factor in my own value.

    If you don't have a rice cooker; remember that pressure cookers can do the same thing. Equal parts rice/water, set to High with a 3 minute cook. Turn it off immediately and let it naturally de-pressurize for 6 minutes before opening the valve and removing the lid.
    Works every time for me.

    • @loriki8766
      @loriki8766 Рік тому +1

      True but you're timing is off. I find that 1 part rice (rinsed) to 1.1 parts water works better. Then 4 minutes high pressure cook followed by a 10 minute depressurize then open the valve. 3/6 would result in hard rice.

      No asians have approved this. I don't even approve half of the rice cookers. It might surprise you, but there are several styles of white rice in China, I disapprove all but one, and as far as I can tell Japanese rice bowl (no) is different than sushi (ok) than Korean (like) than southeast asian (no). No I don't like pressure cooker rice. Some may. But it is not a substitute for your favourite rice cooker unless it happens to be exactly a pressure cooker.

    Wait 1 avocado is $0.69?!?! How??? They are like $1.5 per where I live lol. Also, as usual… deep frying oil was NOT included in the pricing

    • @lorenzosorice
      @lorenzosorice 2 роки тому

      The pricing is always BS. I’d assume it’s wholesale pricing, but even in cheap grocery store no matter where you live…very little adds up.

      I think I saw that price at Kroger last week. It fluctuates though.

      They're about a $1 each where I live. What got me was the $2.38 for 3 tablespoons of sugar. Good thing he wasn't making cookies.

      But also that you can’t just buy 30g of something? You have to buy the whole pack. So the upfront cost is way more. What am I going to do with 1.5 pool noodles hahah

    • @romanmorozov6974
      @romanmorozov6974 2 роки тому

      @@clairet5636 just saw avocado’s cost at Walmart for 89¢ each, so ig 69¢ is doable. The oil used for deep frying is not included at all tho

    Cries but the stovetop method is traditional for a lot of cultures- especially like for Persian cultures that’s the only acceptable way to make rice
