Hi David, thanks for your comment. It certainly was a special day and so nice to see them in the flesh. Even the weather cooperated. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. It was just nice to be in the right place at the right time. My boat, Zephyr IV is berthed at Gosport so I really had to go and meet them. BTW. There are quite a few other videos on my channel which might interest you.. take care .. Dave
I watch their UA-cam channel. The best couple and the bravest sailors I respect 🫡. Their videos are second to none. Love them & love their journey. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for your comment. They are certainly very special people and working very hard at the moment, getting Florence ready for their next great adventure. Best wishes ... Dave
Welcome back home Amie, Matt what a fantastic journey I know it's not going to be the end looking forward to seeing ware the next jury is going to be, guys have a blessed day with the family one's again welcome back ❤️🤙🏾😊
Followed them since the beginning .. remarkable young couple, they are superb sailors and filmmakers as well as being the very best of British. Welcome home .
Hi Nick, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It's so nice to share this unique event with so many Florence followers. Thanks for watching 😀 if you could manage to subscribe as well it would make my day... Dave
It certainly was. They were lucky with the weather and it was good to see such a good turnout up at the marina - well done you for getting there ... Dave
I have to admit being a bit emotional whilst behind the camera. They were lucky with the weather, it was a lovely day. I like the music on the music playlist on your channel - solid stuff. Take Care - Dave
I considered it a privilege to be able to share their return and to video it so you could share it too :-) Thanks for your comment, it quite makes my day when someone takes the time to make contact. I'd be even happier if you subscribed, my channel is still young and every subscribers is so valuable.. Dave
Hi Alan, this video wasn't released by Matt and Amy and they might not see it or your lovely comment. I have no connection with Florence and her crew other than a similar feeling about them as yourself. Amazing couple of sailors, it was a privilege to see them in person and Florence of course... Dave.
Hi Lodi, you are so welcome. I considered it an honour to be able to share their homecoming and video it so that you could share it too. If you can find time to subscribe to my channel, I'd be over the moon 🌙 .... Dave
Evening Dave and thank you for filming this! They totally deserved the reception they got, both on the water and in Port Solent! So wish I could have been there! Hope you having/had an excellent season ! Stay well! Max S
Hi Max, good to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed it. It was an honour to be there. I can only dream of such adventures. It's been a mixed season, I spent a lot of it on my hands and knees sorting out my deck :-(
You're very welcome. I was just lucky as Zephyr IV is based in Portsmouth harbour so not an opportunity to be missed. Matt & Amy got a great reception at Port Solent Marina too.
Yes it was a fun arrival, I don't know if you saw the other videos of their arrival up at the Port Solent Marina. There were lots of people watching and waiting and gave them a real big welcome. If you haven't yet subscribed, I'd be most grateful if you would ... Dave
Yes they have a lot of friends through their UA-cam Channel and their travels. An amazing couple. If you haven't already subscribed I'd be over the moon if you decided to click that Subscribe button ... Dave
Hi Jack, thanks for the comment, nice to know someone watched it and I'm so pleased you managed to see you and your boat on the video. I haven't found any other video of the meeting out in the Solent. The ones at the harbour entrance and up at Port Solent provide quite a complete coverage of the event. And it was an event wasn't it. I hope you subscribed too ?
Two of my favorite sailors. It was a strange optical illusion with all the sails full of wind, but the boats appearing stationary around the @1:20 point. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this. We had a small crew in Vermont celebrating their return on our sailboat. I so wish I could have been with them. Thank for sharing.
You are so welcome. I just couldn't miss it especially as they were coming into Portsmouth harbour and I have my boat there. When I was younger I wanted to do the same as them but was constrained by lack of loot. Now I'm constrained by growing old and cancer. But I'll keep sailing until I'm really not safe. Thanks for the comment, it's really appreciated.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I caught a few brief glimpses of them entering the harbour, via the web cam on HMS Warrior, but sadly the camera kept switching views!
You're very very welcome and thanks for the comment. If you get a minute I'd be really really pleased if you subscribed. I've got other videos in the pipeline and there's quite a few on my channel already that you might enjoy :-)
I noticed that most of the welcoming boats if not all were small or medium size, more or less like Florence, surely not more than 40 ft... quite different from the ongoing trend of big or maxi yachts. A message?
What a lovely homecoming. Really special moments after such an epic journey. Well done and thank you for allowing us to be able to partake with you.

A wonder seafaring nation welcomes home two of her own on the world sailing vessel Florence!
A good reception I must say. I have been following this couple and Florence since the Panama Canal. Greetings from Stockholm, Sweden.

Thanks for the video. My boat Moonwind and crew got 2 seconds of UA-cam game. 🎉 Nice to see everyone else enjoying the day too.

The wind was very light but we all seemed to be sailing at the same speed, which was quite slow.

Well I guess we all felt a sense of kinship with them, having a similar boat.
All this mostly newer and bigger boats around Florence, which will do the same thing? Maybe non.
It's the people who do it isn't it. Only quite special people.
@@davesailing They dream, buy boats but only a few will start
Very True 🙂@@SailingSquib
