Nice one, and you're right, these are a finger drummer's dream!

      Thank you!
I'm hoping this plugin is going to open doors for interested parties to be able to jump in and and start learning finger drumming where it seemed completely inaccessible in the past (without either a lot more cash to have to drop, or simply a lack of desktop and can't be bothered to go thru all the hoops required, before OneShot released this all in one package)
Also, many many thanks for checking it out and the completely unexpected support! Excited to join the crew of reviewers and tutorial gurus that I've been learning so much from over the past year and a half with all this!

Thanks for this!. These kits sound great. Loving the "Rattle" one.

Absolutely! I had fun doing it, though nerves for first talking vid... and just playing straight without edits. However, I'm now obsessively thinking about doing another pack, but go for one I haven't auditioned (going down the list, gone fully thru 4 or 5) also give initial reactions and impressions... and even 'save the favorites' -- I suppose doing the rest of the auditioning on camera in segments. two birds and all!
and yeah! that rattle kit was dope! my reaction after it was with a bit of surprise. I could have played with that a bit there, and I didn't get that feeling first time thru!
sooo much potential with this thing
and I haven't even begun thinking about the tweaking options available 😅
thanks so much for checking it out!

Have you used Slammer or Digistix 2?
This seems like of like the best of both worlds combined into a more fluid app.
Am i right that this does high hat chokes and also am i seeing that there's 16 pad inputs?
That was the one thing i suggested they needed to change with slammer, so that is really cool if so. Seems like that's the standard with midi pads so having 16 makes more sense.
Are you doing this on a midi pad?
Maybe you mentioned and i missed it.
    Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Might actually have to go pick this up, though I've been kind of trying to avoid more plugins... I've just collected too much already lol

Digistix 2, very lightly and unfamiliar with Slammer
This is a sampler, quite similar to AudioLayer and Decent Sampler (there are others too, im just more deeply versed in these)
AudioLayer was the only method I could find a year ago to do Drum Emulation on iPad (everything else is ~$300 desktop plugins)
the main difference, this comes with 195 complete kits, where AudioLayer is JUST sampler (can find free stuff online, but I was using fully samples kits from Drumdrops. incredible kits, but $22 bucks PER KIT (multiple snares and a bunch of mic placement options.... perfect for professional needs... but overkill for my needs. however, they do have like 30 velocity layer samples per slot. Closed hat with 33 velocity layers, open with 30) --- they do sales thru out the year dropping price to $16. the only reason I have a couple xD
and Decent Sampler is a WONDERFUL free, much more user friendly version of the same thing. but more 'not quite right' builds to be found
OneShot is EXACTLY what I was looking for last year. and I will instantaneously recommend it to anyone who wants kits!
HEADS UP: There are no included playing controls! either need an external controller or thru a midi host like AUM or Loopy that can also host a midi controller plugin (velocity keyboard is my go-to for that)
I play on a Launchpad X now, but for the first 7 months, it was the M-Vave SMC-Pad. a GREAT 4x4 Bluetooth drum pad with 8 endless encoders and transport controls. Around 50 bucks online
oh, and I haven't played with maxing out a preset, but I THINK I read like 24 or 26 max banks available per preset (there are more setup per preset than I have pads for. I use a general layout that works for most, but I'll go and edit once I find what I want. and there are some FUN extra sounds available. The used banks are visible at all times on the keyboard at the bottom. You can count there for how many come preloaded lol
      Thanks so much for watching!

Why all the background noise without Brusfri?? Are you based in a saw mill??

I don't have a permanent production space. Completely mobile, and typically used on our back deck
So, getting into fall, 7am, rural Georgia... Nature's loud

@@PapaBPoppin Well, that explains it. Is it ok though if I'm not your man? That sounds a tad weird.

This video is awesome and so is your finger drumming. Your finger drumming sounds very organic.
Does this thing have a pad mode (touchscreen pads)?
(ps: anyone can feel free to greet their loop friends any time. It's encouraged. And thanks for the shout out!)

heh I want to throw in little things, references to who I consume regularly, just in case anyone that catches mine happens to watch the same (also a nod to those that have inspired where I'm at and what I'm doing. We'd be nothing without others' willingness to garner knowledge ❤️)
MANY thanks on the compliments. nerves were high for first spoken vid, and first time ANY audience while jamming on the pads, no redos, just going
I'm obsessing over when I get to do the next one (...do I forgo a little sleep when I get home after work and see if I can fit it in...?) due to excitement. and I'm gonna go thru a new pack I haven't touched yet, for initial reactions and impressions, but also to show my full process (including the 'favoriting' - it's just saving auv3 preset, but there's no actual favorites in OneShot that I've found
There is no control method built into OneShot. Standalone requires an external controller (...or maybe an iaa controller plugin, but I'm completely familiar with iaa. only been on since the auv3 train). loopys auv3 keyboard works however, best method I've found?
Velocity Keyboard! under settings, select 'Drum' preset! 4x4 grid, and an Edit button in the top left. hit edit and you can change any pad to whatever on the fly. edit again and it relocks
if I'm not on LPX, I have 2 VelocityKB presets, one for Notes grid, one for Drums.... and it's pretty much a slightly jankier (the faux velocity sensitivity) LPX alternative! Excellent for quick work when on the go!
thanks for all the support and help! ❤️
