Ive got the Toronado and the Offset Tele. Love them both. Such great guitars
Great demo and comparison between these amazing guitars. Thanks for playing them clean, that’s how we can appreciate the true sound of these guitars, wonderful playing by the way!
Thanks guys, great video. Thanks for playing the guitars clean, it really helps to know what their sound is. I saw other reviews of the Toronado, but you guys have a much truer sound. Great stuff. I did manage to get the Baritone, it is so cool.
Rock on!
I just got the baritone. Love it. China has raised the bar on quality. Great fit and finish.
I just started this video and my first thought was “I bet those baritones are gone!”
I love my Squires and they've ALWAYS had good quality but they have produced 6 new guitars that are on the cutting edge of being totally awesome.
i just want to say... you play great stuff man!
Great intro 🥰🎸
Love your videos. have been thinking about getting an Offset Tele (Mahogany-made in Japan) but maybe I'll save the money and get one of these...
Also...that Baritone is very intriguing...
Dang. I'd just decided to get a CV 50s tele. Now I stumble across this offset. I only have one other electric, an epi Sheraton ii. What is everyones thoughts on this vs CV?
the 05/06 Squier 51 was a great guitar . I bought 3 for $99.00 each ....Fender rebranded it for $799.00 .
Just bought the toronado. Thanks Alamo
Thank you!
Man, that neck pickup on the Toronado sounds so warm, and the bridge pickup has a nice quack to it.
What are your observations about the guitar after a month with it?
WoOooAaH! Paranormal!
Rudy Ayoub has a series on yt called stranger strings.
I have the "jazzcaster" I love the guitar but have decided to upgrade the pickups. I bought 51 custom shop nocaster pickups for it. The neck was nice but the bridge was very ice picky and brittle sounding and since I love the guitar so much I decided to upgrade the pickups which were only 180 bucks and they are pickups the custom shop uses.
I got the baritone Tele and the Toronado and love them both. Squier has really upped their game.
Man, that neck pickup on the Toronado sounds so warm, and that bridge pickup has a nice quack to it.
What have been your observations so far about the Toronado?
@@goosegaskins I agree with your assessment of the pickups. I've been using the neck pickup playing drop-D stuff through an EQD Life Pedal and it booms. The bridge pickup seems geared towards a good, straight rock sound and seemed to sound great when I ran it through a simple KTR/Plumes combo. Kind of a Ryan Adams style sound. My only gripe is the tuners. They will have to be replaced with some locking tuners before I'll play out with it. Otherwise, it's great.
@@richnewman Excellent, thanks for your thoughts!
@@richnewman One other question: Is your gripe about tuning stability? I had read that the Squier Toronado holds tune pretty well...
@@goosegaskins Yes, the tuners are fine for a handful of songs but start to loosen up a bit after about 45 minutes or so of constant playing. Of course, this may just be the tuners on my guitar and not indicative of them in general. But...I kind of have the same gripe about the baritone Tele I got, too. As a studio guitar, these are just fine. I'd only be concerned about the tuners if you're planning to gig with them a lot.
The offset Telexaster sounds twangy as hell, just like an old-time Telecaster👍
Hi guys, question: do you know if Squier is coming out with the baritone again? There's nowhere to find them
I love that B/W Telecaster cabronita . they make a thin line with F hole and soap bar pick ups ....I want both .
is the toronado anything like a blacktop jaguar ?
I got super sonic, but after watching this video, I also want toronado!
You should consider getting one!
I have one too. Maybe a duet ?
@@jonathanlego4930 It's the same!
Wow i want that baritone!
You should get it lol!
My local fender dealer hasn't received stock haha!
It's a narrower nut how does that feel?
Narrow
Review duesenberg guitars please
Is it like paranormal because it's dead models brought back? Where's the name from?
that tornado sounds like it had its ovaltine this morning, that's for sure
Ice blue and grey metallic for the super sonic
I have the super sonic
Mind showing your source on the "limited only for this year" claim? You're the only people I've heard make that claim. Not faulting you, you're a music store and you gotta move guitars out the door, but ive read no where that they are a 1 year run
If it is keeping in tradition with the other weird (not a strat or tele) guitars they do I bet that is correct. A couple of years ago Squier made a jazzmaster style antigua baritone and 1) They went REALLY fast. 2) They don’t make them anymore and 3) They are difficult to find and are going for more than retail. I wish I could snap up that baritone!
Kudos to these guys for being the only ones to say it. I went to order the
Surf green offset tele from Musicians friend and they told me the only ones they have left are guitar center display models and they aren't going to be getting more.
coming to a pawn shop near you .
Guitars are like golf clubs.....you can play the most expensive guitar and still sound like crap because you aren't a good guitarist, or you can play a cheaper guitar and be a master guitarist and sound like heaven. I think Jack Pearson proves that. If Squier is good enough for Jack, then Squier is good enough. I have had some really good Squiers out of the box, and are a great base to mod if desired. Best bang for the buck compared to Fender equivalent.
Yes lol. Duh. Doesn't change the fact that you're getting less quality parts when you buy squire instead of fender lol.
Goes on record about bludgeoning someone with a guitar 🤔🤣
solid guitars but sadly, nothing special about em. Pretty meh all the way. Only thing truly great about em is the weight, look, and playability. Sadly they are made of parts that wont last as long and the pick ups are not that great and you would probably wanna replace them which costs as much as the guitars themselves lololol.
