Great video! I have a Sire Strat, and let me tell you guys, for the money and specs, pickups sound great, locking tunners, it is the best strat I have ever owned!
Agree w/ Cooper I bought that P90 Gretsch because of the pickups! That guitar has become my #1. Blew me away. Have played the best of the best. It's a modern day legend imo.
Keeners may want to head over to Darryl Braun's channel. He puts more variety of makes and models of electric guitars within the mix for this kind of showdown. He's not busy running a store like these fine gents.
Yes, those are nice GreTscHes! Filtertrons have that chimey twang, and those P90s are a staple in anyone’s stable! Great playing to really show what they can do.
Great vid guys. Good to see Epi get some love. The Sheraton is my favorite of the ones you reviewed this year. The T5 sounds really good too. As a sometime player "in the pit" I've often wondered if that T5 would work where electric and acoustic are both in the score. Playing both sometimes it's tough to make the que when switching back and forth from electric to acoustic. Love your picks. Happy New Year!
Anyone know if the lick cooper plays on the import epi (17:27) is an original of his or not? trying to learn it by ear but having a tab or notation would be nice :)
You mentioned food? I sent you some anchovy paste via Amazon. Enjoy. Thanks for the video. Love watching you guys. Great info and great players. How do you find the QC on the MIMs in general? Do they need a good set up or good out of the box?
Great list and playing, thanks for that! Recently bought a Casino (prior to this anniversary bunch) and I love it - would like to try the US version! The Gretsch line with the P90s are cool and the Sire T is great - thinking about that one . . .
Hey guys, happy new year. Love your content, I do think you guys have the best guitar channel on UA-cam. It’s fun, informative and I do believe in your assessments on the guitars you go over 🤙 I wish you guys were here in New York but don’t hate me for that ahah!
PS ~ That Taylor T5Z pro looks and sounds amazing. I’ve never tried anything like that, isn’t Gruhn also building something very similar to it too? These just look like they’re so damn comfortable to play though with the bevels and narrowness of the bodies, truly impressed.
Great selection guys. The return of rosewood to the Mexican Fenders is huge and overdue by about 4 years since the CITES restrictions were essentially rescinded (...but Fender oddly didn't respond in kind, perhaps hoping the lay public would remain ignorant of the change. Before fanboys protest, yeah I know, price points, market positioning and all that..., but it wasn't exactly like prices have gone down over the intervening years...if anything they've dangerously approached and maybe in some cases overlapped some lower-end USA models. To me, the pao ferro instead actually sent those MiM models downmarket.
I'm looking at MIC Casinos and a local music store has 2022 vintage sunburst with the classic P90s and a free setup, or I can order the 2023 models vintage sunburst or natural with the P90 Pros direct from Epiphone in stock. Didn't see any at Alamo right now and SW out of stock as well. Gonna demo the local 2022 that "the man" at the store tried and said it's sweet. Maybe someone will beat me to it. Hmmmm......
You guys left out Schecter Nick Johnson "Strat/Tele style" signature guitars, Schecter PT Specials, Schecter Silver Mountain series, Schecter Coupe, Schecter Solo II, Schecter PT SLS Elite, and Wreck guitars.
I'm always tempted to buy new electrics, but play my acoustics 90% of the time. Bought one electric and one acoustic last year. Absolutely do not need any more guitars... But have my eye on a Hagstrom Viking and a Godin Radium...
I 've heard the Vintera IIs are pretty nice, although I typically go US-made on most stuff. When Fender announced the AV II line, I was pretty revved up because I wanted a nice vintage spec Jag (most older players are already set on Strats and Teles), but then they DIDN'T EVEN INCLUDE THE JAGUAR IN THE SERIES. lol A major misstep on Fender's part I felt. I'll probably go real vintage as a result, and Fender will just lose the sale, not that they care ; )
Geez , don't make it easy to pick from guys. they all sound great. Guess it depends what music you like to play .you open my eyes to all of them to be honest. educational guys .👍
With Tesla taking over the power Grid, Cooper is ahead of the game and knows there's no longer any electricity left over for guitars.😅 #solarguitars #herecomesthesun #theacousticrealm
I really didn't need a list of electrics. I liked the Epiphone Sheraton, but I won't get any that I don't try. When the Gretsch arrived with the box more than half destroyed, and UPS would not take it back (said it was shipped that way), kinda soured me on getting any electrics needing to be shipped. No one had test played it before shipping, so no proof it worked. I play acoustic finger style.
Taylor Guitars had stolen the "armrest" contour design from Alvarez Guitars. They came out with this feature wAY before Taylor Luther's ever made their "armrest" feature.
I see top 5 electrics, and there is an acoustic guitar? Come on it’s an acoustic guitar that is able to be played through an amp because of its electronics. So many really good electric guitars from 2023, which deserve to be on a top 5 electric guitars list instead of an acoustic guitar. Put that Taylor in your top 5 acoustic guitars instead.
It's disturbing how much research it took to find out the Epiphone Casino import is made in China. Almost like they're embarrassed or something. It's nowhere on the Epiphone webpage for the guitar, and nowhere on the guitars themselves. If you're so embarrassed about where it's made, maybe start making them somewhere less embarrassing.
The Mexican and American fender factories are 3 hours drive apart. I would agree with what you say but budget has to come into the equation. The Vintera II series is fantastic. I’ve kicking my self I missed out of a Lake Placid blue road worn Tele from the previous series
Man Coop's chops
Cooper's playing is just something else! Thank you for uploading and Cooper made all the guitars featured swing to their fullest!
Cooper on that T5Z PRO is mellifluous ambrosia. I’ve never heard a tonal quality quite like it. Truly superb 👌
One of best U.S. You Tube guitar channels out there! Have a great year!
I bought two cuda winders and a Taylor beacon for Christmas presents..they were a hit! Thanks Cooper.
Acoustics are The Best.!!! Thanks Guys.!!
The White Vintera ( Strat) and the Epiphone Casino... as cool and classic as they come. Thank you, guys. Happy New Year!😉😎🤩
Great video! I have a Sire Strat, and let me tell you guys, for the money and specs, pickups sound great, locking tunners, it is the best strat I have ever owned!

Thanks for posting these recap videos, and thanks for all the demos. Your channel posts very helpful content for enthusiasts. Nice playin'!

Great review as always! Curious about your thoughts on the T3 vs the Classic Vibe? Thanks!
Great picks! I would add the Mike McCready Strat up there as well!
Love the playing

The original lists were great, cooper’s playing was absolutely gorgeous. But I also wanted to hear about your fav electrics so thanks boys

Sire was nice.
Casino or Sheraton pro?
Hey guys ! Godin guitars reviews coming this year ? Happy new year ! Cheers !

Cooper looks nice in his sweet shirt.
I freaking love his playstyle.

Will there ever be anything other than the same old strat, tele or les paul?
Love that Gretsch 5655

Glad you're doing Electrics, I 'm in an electric phase now. Can you say "PRS"? But my Martins & Taylors aren't going anywhere. 😃
I'm guessing they didn't get a PRS NF53 or Myles Kennedy. The one new release I bought last year was a Vintera II Jazzmaster.
Anyone got tabs for the tele riff?

Dude. Cooper thats some awesome chicken pickin’!
🎉
Think I’ve got severe GAS for that QM Gretsch 😍
Should have played some Beatles on the Epiphone.
No love for the DGT SE.

Can I send you all some magic brownies?
You both better go on diets for 2024 cut down, barbecue and beer
It's funny that this guys speak about top 5 electrics of 2023 in new year 2024. Just to mention. But I like the vídeo. 🎸🎶🤘😎🇬🇹🔥

I'll just say this: buy AMERICAN! Suport AMERICAN MADE. Anything else is foolish for all concerned and is just a copy of better US-made guitars.
The Mexican and American fender factories are 3 hours drive apart.
