The sticker on my Surfliner says it was made in Indonesia. It seems to be adjusting well to life in Southern Arizona and I am very happy with it. I usually play it straight into a Squier Champ 15GR.
It kind of has some baritone like tones, and I like it. I've been liking the stuff Guild has been putting out lately. I've been considering a X-175 Manhattan Special, but this is cool too.
Yeah, I took the bait and bought one. Needed a set-up pretty badly, but once that was dialed in this thing kicks. I can't stop playing it. Surprisingly great tones from these pups.
This is a pretty cool looking guitar. Does it come in additional colors? I don’t know because that’s one thing you need to add to your videos. Also, you should definitely make sure that you cover the next shape. I watch the Alamo videos for the tone and play through but now Ive got to watch another video for color options and neck shapes.
I liked the sound of that electric guild guitar. When they were talking about that guitar & it didnt say where it was made, i have a 52 year old Dana electric that also didnt say where it was made.
I like the cut of Guild's jib. Great value, tries to plough its own furrow, looks good, sounds even better. Hope it does well for them.
Had me at the bridge pickup. Between this and the M-20, I’m quickly becoming a Guild guy.
Good video Chris! Just picked up the hss for $249 used. Couldn’t be happier!!
Cooper could make a 1-string canjo sound great! 👍

That demo was cool. The guitar passed the test of what I like to listen to. Nice color too.
The switches make sense, more precise. And 2 knobs instead of 3 or 4 (!). Dig the Alnico 2's with the longer string scale :-)
I love your reviews. Alamo is becoming my go2 channel for gear stuff. Change nothing and keep up the good work!
Great playing as always, Cooper. This guitar punches above its weight. Sounds much more expensive than it is.
Goddammit! Just be normal and review the fucking guitars!
It’s made in Indonesia
$269 on Reverb. How do you beat that? Sounds sooo good at that price point.
Get one fast on reverb, new! right now for $269(reg price is about $499)
I get that you guys are pushing product, but you also push information. And that's why I keep coming back. Thank you Cooper and Chris.
Very cool, may be my first guitar purchase!

Awesome tones, and as usual, great playing from Cooper!
I read on a guitar site that these were manufactured in Indonesia.
This looks like a great guitar for anyone looking for an affordable HH guitar with some Jazzmaster vibes. I see these are on sale now. Very tempting.

Also bit. Mine arrived nearly in tune. Versatile tones. Feels great.
hi guys, is made in indonesia
That does sound nice, and unique. Shame about the gargantuan body.
People seem to perceive them as such, but they're not big. The body is the same size as a Jazzmaster.
I like the look and the sound.
As far as im concerned we have a homerun hit here!! yeah sweet axe1
Thank you, this review drove my decision to pick up an HH version to add to my Pacifica & Revstar :)
I have one of these on the way... btw, killer demo, fantastic playing
Awesome. Very excited for this.

Y'all make it sound like you need the sorting hat before deciding which new Guild to buy. Great video as always!
Fun episode, nice job guys! I thought the Surfliner looked and sounded good, and Cooper was awesome!
Same issue with the switches on the Jazzmaster. But thanks for pointing that out!
It might be what he was playing, but it has instant Stephen Stills tones.
£240 on reverb atm.bargain
Chris, I think that it may be "hair line missed"...not that I miss mine too often.
Snake jazz lol
23 frets, interesting.........
It looks great
Loved the tone with both pickups.
It was not 'built it was created.

Indonesia I think
SSH
Just got one new for $255. Liking it but the pickups don't sound nearly as good as in this video. Stock strings. Playing through a Boss Katana MKII.
Playing through a Katana may be the reason for the sound not being as good.
I agree, I'm not a fan of Katonah
Where???
I like that it doesn't say where it's manufactured. If it's good, it's irrelevant.
Nice Yamaha (Yamaha owns Cordoba/Guild).
Those pup switches are a deal breaker..
Hipster?? Really , lol not even 😂
Perfect guitar for some western outlaw riffs
I thought it was mandatory to notify the buyer where an item is made. Strange.
No weight, no like.
Every Guild I’ve ever picked up had some sort of magic going on…there’s a reason Tom Petty and others used them a ton
