- Did I make a huge mistake building this villa in Bali ? Time will only tell. Living in Bali has its challenges and it becomes even more tough on an island like Nusa Penida.
Tropical Glamping Nusa Penida has come a long way since the 4 years it’s been open. I have put my blood, sweat and tears into these villas. Join me as I share the progress and updates of what it is like building a villa in Bali , and the processes from start to finish.
We have seen multiple set backs throughout this project , but we will continue to rise above the challenges and find new ways to overcome them.

Places like Canggu, Uluwatu and Ubud have seen dramatic growth over the years, and it’s definitely not slowing down.

Nusa Penida is growing rapidly , and we are very excited to be opening up our 3rd villa. Villas in Bali are always so beautiful and we hope we have created something unique for individuals and tourists to come and enjoy on holiday.

Why Penida , hmmm when I founded this place 4 years ago I had spent a couple days over in Penida snorkeling and back then it was so undeveloped still , but I couldn’t believe how beautiful the landscape was.
Coming from a social media background I knew that this island could only blow up on social media once influencers got coming here . So found that gap in the market at the right time . Luckily managed to secure land , as now prices have become quite crazy .
Still lots available , but many are big areas , that are being sold off for huge amounts mainly to big investors like hotel chains etc .
Was fortunate to get in at the right time.
Also found the competition in bali is just soo extreme , and a young 22 year old at the time of finding this place - I had zero budget to compete 🤣 still don’t have much budget to
Compete lol . Although everything that has gone into this project has purely come from my own pocket , and no investors . So back then it was a location that was a little bit easier to stand out on booking platforms , as there wasn’t much other competition.
And now it’s changed a lot , but I guess so has the brand , and the level we are operating at .
Slowly , but consistently looking to improve and keep expanding ! The goal is 8 Cliff side villas before the next 3-4 years 🙌

I think keep the brown bamboo not white ! Ur other bungalows are already white make this one more outdoorsy ! It would look good either way !
I do think natural would look lovely that is why it was my original idea . The thing is , 90% of the bamboo bungalows in Bali are natural color , so by painting it white we are standing out and diversifying a lot .

Stick with the white
Less is more. With such a beautiful location & view don't over think or over clutter the bungalow. ** NOOO bean bags!! ** If it feels too bare to you, simply placing 2-3 beautiful plants and flower pots will add value to the space. Side note: If guests are able to receive private massages on location keeping that balcony open so that 1-2 massage bed can be brought in and used in that space sounds like a lovely idea and best use of space.

And then we actually spoke to the contractor today and will be able to cut the middle pole , So that we can still have our bedframe on an electric motor system to be able to roll outside , so you can either sleep inside or outside 😍 and then the massage beds can come into the space when a guest wants a massage .
