On the subject 'slow' payments --- years ago we learned another way to 'expedite' payments... its called a "prompt payment discount terms"; which is basically when you offer a discounted invoice amount if they agree to pay within a particular time-frame... such as 10 days, 15 days, 30 days (and offer a larger discount for faster payment).
This is crazy my dad had a medical transportation back in the early 90s he was one of the only very few in dmv at that time. He transported HIV patients when very few people would. He eventually gave it up, but I remember him making great money. Back then the state paid through Medicare and Medicaid not sure how it works now.
I'm so grateful I found this video started a Transportation Company in April 2022

This was very informative and spot on ! AS i struggle through our life to keep a job, getting frustrated working for others.. when it always was on my mind to be my own boss . Creative something that can take care my children where they can have opportunities to do things themselves… I tried so many different things to become my own boss … I tried selling hair that didn’t work i tried doing nails didn’t have the patience lol and on and off i been thinking about a NETB and as i’m watching this interview i hear GOD cheering me on ..
I'm glad I found this interview. We have family business running NEMT in NY, my dad was dream was to start a business ever since
we were kids. My dad was an accountant for many years, before started working for Ambulette company as dispatcher then from there on he was just networking and finally in 2014 he left the company he was managing due to politics to start his NEMT business. It has been a blessing ever since, I had the opportunity learn in's and out's of the business.

Hello People, yes we been live since July 2022. My head is still above water, and I can’t be more thankful. If you think your going to make it with just brokers, good luck. You Might as well deliver pizza with their rates they offer. You must go out in uniform with your business cards and flyers and sell your self. I probably visited 50+ facilities, and was told “we have are own transportation” over 30 times. I left my cards anyways, prayed, and hope for the best. I’ve been helping 7 facilities who supposedly “ had their own transportation”, and are getting calls from google. Thanks you Jesus!

I wish you would have asked about the costs related to the business. How much does he pay his drivers? Exactly how much is the insurance? Does he replace the tires every 3 or 4 years? Does he provide benefits to his drivers?
If you live in California you are not required to provide benefits if you have less than 8 employees.

What are the actual requirements? Is there a certification, permits which are needed by your city/state? Is there a waiver which needs to be signed (release of liability) We know you will need an LLC, but what else is needed legally besides commercial insurance, LLC , vehicle and contracts?
