You certainly said it all correctly. Repulsive how this pig and his wanna be cop wife acts. Thinks she's above the law. See how the corruption overflows into spouse then their kids. As a representative of Augsta Georgia, they should be ashamed to have this low life working for them. Can you imagine being anything but white on a dark road with this armed thug? I think the public ( right, left, white, black, rich, poor, immigrant or multi generational) all appreciate, respect and support good, compassionate, and professional law enforcement officers of all kind. These people are obviously not racists if you have half a brain and have met true bonafide racists. We all do/say things that are wrong. To act like and say things like this are racist is why the word has been watered down to the point where it almost means nothing. Every difference/discrepancy between different peoples does not equal racism. We are a nation of immigrants from all over the world. Heres some truth: You arent perfect either, as exemplified by your labeling a person a racist who is not a clear racist. That is not a term to throw around all willy nilly. Mainly due to police and tow companies setting up deals and friendships over impound calls, some towns have a rotation to stop favoritism. But try getting on the rotation as a new tow company in the area lol. But if you anger the police they will stop calling you even if you are on the rotation, they just say customer requested "X" company to bypass you. So they learn to expect the gold treatment from Drivers owners of tow companies. Flip side is wrecker owners are almost exempt of traffic tickets of any type etc.

Most tow companies are very neutral on the situation, the bottom line is if you're going to fight it, you fight it in court.

Reminds me of when I was a security guard. It was a shopping center right next to the beach. People would always try to use our lot for free parking. I felt bad for calling it in, but at the same time most people knew exactly what they were doing wrong, and would literally just leave most times I even attempted to advise them...

I live by the beach and I had a guy park in my driveway once. Right in front of me. Starts unloading his family and all their beach gear. I told him it's a private driveway and he said, too bad, he couldn't find anywhere else to park, and proceeded to walk down to the beach with his kids. I don't know what he expected was going to happen but boy did he seem surprised when they came back hours later to find the truck gone. Expensive day at the beach for him.

You ,your wife and the other gentleman from Ga are great examples of how tow truckers should do their business. Fair level-headed, respectful. It's the others on UA-cam that yell and scream just for clicks and views that give tow truckers a bad name.

My dad was a detention officer and dealt with Law officers, The courts and individuals in custody. He always believed that you are responsible for your actions and treat people with respect. There are things that happen unfairly but you control you. There are injustices but you still are responsible for your actions.
Police officers deserve the most respect that a person can received. Daily they deal with people on their worst day, people who are not responsible for their actions and people that just need help. Then on top of that they have to deal with politics and personalities of the people that affect them. They see things no living person can forget or deny it affects them.
I would be the last person to say anything bad about a police officer and not give them the respect they deserve. But I expect when possible the same respect or at least a portion back. Unless I give up that right by my actions.
Please don't tell me that because someone else is doing wrong I can too. My bad day means I don't have to follow the rules / laws. If I am not sure or don't know does not mean the law changes or I am excused. My family and situation does not excuses my actions. As a person everything can affects my actions but I am the one in control. I was taught to respect the office / title / duty even if you cant respect the person.
Bottom line. If you think that making excuses, talking behind some ones back (online as well) or being dishonest is WRONG. I also understand people being mad and ranting but then they have to fix and be accountable for that action.
Please be the people I respect and have taught my sons to respect and admire.

Sir, I enjoy watching your videos and as a former tow operator (back in my day we were just called tow truck drivers) and also now a retired deputy sheriff. It reminds me of why I enjoyed being a tow truck driver. I always hated it when I towed an off-duty peace officers' personal vehicle whether it was an impound or a disabled vehicle.
But as you know, when it comes to an impound you do not know who owns that vehicle and you have a business to run. I hate seeing these off-duty cops act the way they do, it's not the first video of yours where you've towed a cop's private vehicle and I'm sure it won't be the last.
As a tow driver we had the local PD, SD and state patrol's contract and I always hated it when the officers felt the need to operate the levers on my truck, but it was our biggest contract, so I just smiled and made do.
I'm very conscious of all parking signs when I'm parking and it doesn't matter what day of the week it is or time of day, that only comes from being a tow truck driver and a deputy responding to disputes over private property impounds.
P.S. The tow truck company always won in those disputes.

      Your people instincts are good....
There are reports on March 18 that this guy is not currently employed as a Law Enforcement Officer. So it appears his comment that "I am a police officer" was a lie. He used to a be a police officer....10 YEARS AGO.
"A man who tried to get out of paying for a tow by claiming to be an Augusta law enforcement officer and then making racist remarks is not currently employed by the department, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office."
"A Richmond County Sheriff's Office spokesman confirmed the man in the video was employed by the department more than 10 years ago but said he is not currently working for the department."
" I was disturbed by the comments - it’s not something we would tolerate from any active duty people that work here." Internal Affairs Sgt. William McCarty said. "We have no jurisdiction in Gatlinburg, but he’s falsely impersonating a police officer and if that’s something they wanted to pursue they could."

Well folks. Here's the deal: I was a deputy. The first thing they teach you is "bite your tongue". Or at least they used to. Keep your thoughts and beliefs to yourself. Just do your job and go home safely. A tow fee is not worth loosing your job (and all it's benefits) or even a suspension. And never-ever ask for favorable treatment. If it is offered, that is different. Learn by your mistakes and life goes on. You have patients of a saint. What you did is what he should have done: de-escalate the situation.

I have to come out and acknowledge you for being such a great person and human being. It takes a lot of courage to stand against, speak up or call out racism whereas in today's climate, it still exists and there are others who turn a blind eye and act as if it doesn't.
What makes this worse is the person showing his racism is a person who is S.W.O.R.N and elected by the people to serve the people to protect and serve as a police officer, yet he stands behind a "thin blue line" flag that is a "dog whistle" for a "us against them" or superiority mentality that the people are beneath them and don't even get me started on the real reason the "thin blue line" movement started like BLM and all of the killings of unarmed African American males (or anyonefor that matter). His words shows his true colors and the biases in policing that has existed for a long time and why there is such a call for police reform.
I just wanted to thank you for calling that out and for being what we all should be and that's being a good decent human being. Love you bro.
