As a Lifelong Detroit Lions fan it's very reassuring to hear one of my favorite NFL analysts make such a positive statement. As boring and redundant as it sounds, it starts at the top. Again, when Sheila Ford-Hamp took over and hired Chris Speilman, GM Brad Holmes and HC Dan Campbell it has been upward mobility. Even Breer agrees that the mega signing of The Lions "core" this offseason. QB Jared Goff has truly found happiness and just as importantly found a home in Motown. This young man QBd a team ,LA Rams , to a Super Bowl at a very young age, and after some differences, traded to one of the worse teams in The NFL. Goff, and of course his talents, but his hard work and allowing himself to be "coached" are a huge part of The Lions success. OT Penei Sewell, if he stays healthy, could end up being one of the greatest OTs ever. WR Amon Ra St Brown brings a grit and work ethic that "sets the pace". I'm looking for RB Jamyr Gibbs to be a "star" this season. I have never been excited for an upcoming NFL season.
And it is all these reasons here while the Lions are hated on.. 😅 they recognize all of this to some degree but they hate it because it's the Lions and their envious of it because they know the Lions are finally getting their right and they wish their team did the same thing😅..
As a lifelong packers fan, it’s cool to see Detroit come up. Our division is gonna be a dog fight for years. Chicago is better and Minnesota has a good team too. If JJ Macarthy is even just average, Minnesota has a really good defense and weapons all over on offense.
So good to hear this positive coverage of our Detroit Lions. All the pieces are in place for a great year. If the Lions make it to the SuperBowl, Detroit and the whole state of Michigan will be in a state of euphoria. Great morale boost for the state. Go Lions!
It’s funny that because Dan Campell looks the way he does, going for the fourth downs is considered being “emotional” instead of following the analytics
@@brokentubing Problem is that a Coach like him tends to fizzle out if analytics are their foundation. He went 12/5 last year. That means ZERO for this year.

They need to be smart with Herbert's injury. Don't force the issue, if he's not ready then rest him week 1 and even week 2. Easy starting schedule and winnable games week 1 and 2.

Some people still laugh at Dan Campbell and his "emotional decisions". What people don't realize is that he has only coached 3 years in the NFL plus his intern stint in Miami. The man has gotten better each year he's been in Detroit and will continue to get better

They were best in division last year and have improved their roster since then. They are the team to beat. I don't think the Bears are going to be quite ready, although in a couple years they could be terrifying.
