He was short in height, but he had incredible stamina. This man is a legend!. Merckx Induran, Coppi Thevenet were all tall with phenomenal power. Im thinking when Hinault was climbing the Izoard, Puy de Dome, L'Alp duez, he was up against the tall climbers and could match and beat them.
fue el mas potente ciclista de todos los tiempos..no vales tonteria decir que un ciclista gana un tour...el se lo ganaba todo en un ano que eran incapaces hacer muchos de los cilistas que ganaron en el tour ..solo merck..con 21 anos se llevo la bastona liega frente a expertos como jean ras, freddy maertens, merck, keneteman...vandenbrouck..la ciencia del ciclismo nos dice que un ciclista adquiere maduracion en las piernas con 27 anos.caso de indurain o de froome cuando gano el tour con 27..el ya lo poseia todo mucho mas antes...poseia uan genetica que despues de carrera de 3 semanas no perdia casi un kilo de peso...en el mundial de sallanche de 1980 ataco ya en el km 55 de un mundial de 265 kms para eliminar de fuerzas a las selecciones de italia, holanda y belgica...cosa imposible esa hazana con otro ciclista...fue un monstruo de fuerza fisica
Three people. I would just like to shake their hand with who have given me the utmost pleasure in my 65 years of life from the sports I love. And getting away from the 'norm'...no footbal,l F1,Tennis, boxing..no,.... sports that show and deliver everything, hurt, passion,stamina and a mindset like no other sport going...Would be Hinault, Merckx....and controversially.....Armstrong. And I'm not putting LA in the same bracket as Bernard and Eddie..after what has gone on.
I would also like to meet those 3. I did meet Hinault back in the early 90’s. He came thru the USA on a tour for LOOK. He didn’t speak English and I don’t speak French. He did sign my picture of him and Lemond on Alpe Duez. It is framed. Greg also signed it before then. I have spent some time around Lance as he grew up in DFW and he was 7 or 8 years younger than me. He was quite a talent coming up and fun to watch develop. I wouldn’t put too much stock in all the anti Lance talk. He won on a level field. Lance and his team just out worked and out played everyone else. Just wasn’t real nice about it but has apologized many times. His podcasts and interviews are really good. As for Eddie he is definitely on the meet bucket list. No doubt he is the GOAT. VDB is gone so really no other. I got to meet most of the 7-11 guys while attending the Coors Classic. I hope you get to meet those guys 👍🏻👍🏻
