Great review that influenced my decision to buy. After watching your in-depth study and considering the advantages and disadvantages of both vehicles, I've decided to purchase a Toyota Yaris. It's more in line with my budget.
Super review, I have owned BOTH cars and still own the BENTLEY, Its more plush and still goes like stink, more roomy and luxurious. Im a HUGE 911 fan and the turbos are ballistic!
Thanks, great review of two fantastic cars. You perfectly summarised the personality, character and particularities of them. One of your best reviews since you arrived to this channel. Congrats.
I wasn't surprised he mentioned tyre roar what with it wearing Pirelli P Zeros. The P Zero N1 is a fairly noisy tyre. The Michelin PS4S N0 are noticibly quieter in comparison.
Been looking for this exact test for a while now to no avail until today. The exact trims and all. I see some people are being critical of the fact they fill different niches and aren't really direct rivals. To me they're both just highly desirable GT cars. They're also some of the crown jewels in my bucket list that I like to delude myself I have any chance of achieving, fingers crossed this ends up being consumer advice!
never give it up - that's what Leasing is for! once youre in and feeling you're making money by being ahead of the ballon payment at the end you're not going to break out and will find yourself trading up regularly. much to your partners disbelief. I too love the GT mix - great performance but great compfort 4 wheel drive and great style, but i want at least 4 seats - both these cars offer zero passenger option if either in front are 6 foot. I looked and experinced mercs/bmws/audis and ferrari and the best car id love to fullfil the criteria above is the porshce panmera turbos s ehybrid in sports tourismo form - Drive any in the other catergories then compare the porsche for speed, compfort and handling, mpg/emmisions - i found it won on all of these and is my 'GT' car of preference - but not a GT!
Ideally would like to own them outright and just hang on to them. I'm talking out of my arse a bit though since I don't make any money as it stands. I love the Panamera and that specific trim is my favourite. I'd like to have it in Viola Metallic with a Crayon interior as well but I only need space for myself so the Conti's a more appealing prospect personally. But again, just a dream.
@@kaiblue5660 I drove both cars and just liked the Porsche better. Also, the Bentley drops like a rock in value. On the Aston, I owned a Vanquish Volante a few years back. Beautiful but does drop fast in value as well. I paid $344,000 for the car and sold it with 9,000 miles on it three years later for $185,000.
@@mmerritt143 besides depreciation, was that the only reasoning? i feel like porsche engineering is amazing, they do a good job of keeping the desirable bits and getting rid of the not so good bits. however i feel like aston just speeks class and sex. also is the bentley as big of a boat as people say?
The tire noise in the 911 Turbo is probably influenced by…. wait for it…. the tires more than anything else. I had a pair of Pirelli’s and I didn’t really notice how dreadfully loud they were until I switched to a set of Michelins. The reduction in road noise was massive.
First press car Turbo S without the sports suspension - seems like it works better in this setup without it. As for the Bentley, they should do the V8 with the Speed suspension/axle/diff improvements
The GT is so smooth, so planted that in side view it looks like those old movies filmed in studio. You see the trees moving but the car looks still. Brilliant.
911Turbo is a complete ballistic missile; can be used in all occasions, haven’t driven latest version but previous one I love. Bentley too ostentatious for my taste but appreciate the 911 is not for everyone
This cars are known for having comfort and speed The porsche is 70% speed 30% comfort The bentley is 70% comfort 30% speed Would be nice owning this 2 plus an offroader like bronco and a sedan like m5
Love the comparison, but you can only call a Porsche Turbo S a GT car because there is a GT3 model. That is a really a Sport Car with GT abilities. The real competition for the Bentley GT Speed would be a Panamera Turbo S 2 door coupé if such a thing would exist. In the real world it’s adversaries are the M8 Competition, the S63 AMG Coupe and maybe a few others. But both are gorgeous cars, of course!
Both are amazing cars. I really enjoy driving dynamics, so the 911 would be the one for me. But you can't go wrong with any, and I'm sure the buyers will mostly pick the right car based on their preferences.
Im actually not convinced that the Turbo is a GT car. Yes its an absolute missile, but its still more of a sportscar than a true GT car. The Continental on the other hand, now that’s a GT car. Quiet, luxurious, comfortable, but an absolute unit when it needs to be.
Shame about the tyre noise from 911s, yes it is bearable but could be better which would make touring a little more pleasant. I have memories of a concrete stretch of road between Dunkirk and Ypres in a 997 turbo!!! the Bentley would have done it better but I think its too big and too heavy compared to the Porsche.
Brilliant I get the same rush at the helm of my 206 1.4 Hdi This beast easily yields 78.5mpg at motorway speeds. Oh and its turbo charged For road hugging grip 195/55R15 Michelins at £695 you don't need a loan. Its a hoot on the A303 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😂😂😂😂
Both epic cars. I have owned 3 Conti GTS, all stunning to drive on long runs, with bags of space, and that W12 is a remarkable engine. This one looks like a great leap forward with b road manners.. The 911 has finally found a way to reach the GT market, apart from the crap baggage space.
I would say the winner in this category is the BMW M8 competition. Better comfort than the Turbo S and by far better driving machine than the Bentley. And i'm a Turbo S owner, the tyre noise can be irritating.
Wow! What a comparison.... Apples and oranges, but somehow both supreme beings hey. Impossible choice. The overall spec on Bentley is superb, but the Porsche is something else.... If pressed, I'd say Bentley, just screams "presence"
After this video, I considered both of these cars so I went ahead and bought…a second hand BMW 3 series. I guess the rich people will not look at a video on UA-cam but they’ll go to the car dealers and test them.
Well. Just because something is fast its not a sportscar. Not even a alcantara steering wheel helps But it’s interesting comparing two very different VW products, sure. For VW geeks I suppose!
When you get back in your A110 Dan, don't all these other cars seem pointless and overpriced? The Bentlley's wheel looks suspiciously similar to standard VW kit.
Had a go in the GT Speed. Left me cold, interior is superb but driving feels distant. Good car dor people in their 60s. For the price of GT Speed you can get a lineup of good cars!
It’s not a sports car, it’s a grand tourer. It’s one of the more dynamic grand tourers but it’s still a grand tourer. You have to realise what kind of car you’re driving before making any judgment on it
doesn’t really make sense to compare them cause they don’t even compete at all, two different cars for two different purposes🤦🏼♂️ and the Continental GT is technically a Panamera coupe, so comparing them makes as much "sense" as comparing a S 63 coupe with the AMG GT too bad, otherwise it's a good video as always
Everything on the Bentley will fail and depreciate but the body and interior. It's decadence made for someone to replace it's mechanical parts. Porsche is still the working mans ultimate sports car. I want a 93 911 not a Bentley Azure
Previous Speed I drove pretty hard, I was shocked how it behaved , best way I could describe it, as like driving a lowered heavy SUV , certainly not my cup of Tea.

This is Porsches best bang for buck weapon ever. This really puts it up to the opposition more than ever. Still the King of driving.
I feel like the Bentley is a "Sporty Luxury Car" while the Porsche is a "Luxurious Sports Car" which sound like the same thing but they aren't 🧐
911 is not a Grand Tourer, it is a Sports Tourer as it has no luggage space which a true GT has.
Wtf is a sports tourer.. stop making shet up

The Porsche for me, that timeless design will always looks nice unlike the Bentley which will be dated once the new gen is launched.
