One thing I love about my kids' school district is that families donate $25 per child, and the school provides all the supplies. I feel this school system cares deeply about the children and their education. We've been in several schools because we move a lot, and last year was the first time I saw tremendous growth in both of my kids. I feel blessed that my children are receiving a quality education.
I saw another stream that had a receipt from a supermarket (not walmart) of an "immigrant's" EBT purchase receipt left behind. show the BALANCE of $1500+!!! While we are buying hamburger, they are eating steak and london broil. Makes me mad.
I’m not ok!!🤬 I’ve lost my temper several times today first when I left to go get sweet corn the drivers are horrible almost got hit twice then I got caught up in comments on a video from Harris and bidens little speech they made all these people talking about how wonderful that Tim guy is for putting tampon’s in boys bathrooms etc it just infuriated me and I let them get to me!! I try to tame myself but it’s hard🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What annoyed me most about the back to school supply buying was that we got a list of all these things that our kids would need and I would diligently go buy them or use the supplies service that the school contracted out. I recall going in at the end of the year for some reason and I looked over on the shelf and there was a container full of erasers and I asked the teacher about them and the teacher said “oh, we put all the erasers that the kids bring in and we put them all there for anyone who needs them”. And then I asked her well how many erasers did children go through and she said “it depends sometimes they get lost, etc”. and then I said well do I get them back of my child only uses one through the whole year and I bought five total and she says “no we just throw them out”. 😡 I then informed the school that my child, children, will only be bringing in what they need and use, because I refuse to supply supplies to other kids, only to have any leftovers tossed out.

I will not shop at Wal-Mart I can't stand it.I hit the sales at other places. I shop at commisory some things are cheaper. I only shop sales. If it isn't on sale I won't buy it. Thanks for being a bright spot in my day.
This is from a local school in southwest Virginia. Day 2 of school This morning GMS was 1 of 20 locations across the country to receive a threatening text to voice message. Out of an abundance of caution the police were notified and were very quick to respond. All students & staff are safe and our schools are secure. The communities can expect to see a continued police presence at all TCPS locations throughout the day. Thank you for your continued support and vigilance in keeping our students safe! Homeschool!!!!
Prayers for my brother in law please! He has been dealing with a kidney stone for 2 weeks. This morning they went in to crush it(5.5cm) or put a stent in and could do neither! Sending him to Savannah or Jacksonville,Fla. Will have to go in his back to get to it! Much prayer please!!!🙏 TIA

Southern AZ here along the Mexican border. 94 degrees with 22% humidity. Feels like 1000% humidity. Mosquitos and flies eat me alive in the garden so I gear up while I water. Holy smokes! Hoping to mow tonight to FIND my garden when it cools a bit and maybe chop and stack firewood. Leaves are dropping on some of my mesquite trees already! Picked up some chicken, turkey breast and cornish hens today to put up in cans for my family including the dogs. Yep, I make and can dog food so they have good food too. Love Big Lots TP. It's the best buy out there. Also, I homeschool; no need for school clothes or school supplies. You'll go broke with what the schools want you to purchase. They ask for name brands!
I taught for 13 years and the best time to shop for school supplies is at the end of the year in the school dumpsters. Teachers (some) will throw out brand new never opened supplies. Get mad at me but that's the truth.
I'm doing everything I can to put up food for my kids and I. I don't have a lot of money but my mom gave me 10 walmart bags full of apples and 4 bags full of pears from her trees. I'm canning all weekend cuz it's free and I'm not letting it go to waste

Open any book on economics! Capping prices means producers won’t make money causing them to stop producing. Then, there are shortages. (Price capping may work for a very short time, until the producers adjust.) Capping food is not a good idea. It’s very risky.
Once was at a our high school football gane and they were selling soft pretzels that you could add yellow mustard on top. The women running the pretzel boith threw away the big gallon size mustard plastic container. I fished to container out of the can they threw it in. It was almost completly full. I took it home, put in my basement refrigerator and had mustard for almost forever. I hate to see food wasted.
Mosquitoes are terrible here in St. Louis. I made Plantain salve this year and so glad I did. It has kept me from scratching. Takes itching away within minutes.
Take B1 daily one tablet. It tweaks your scent making you unattractive to bugs. I don’t mind a bit that they find stinky. You can also use brewers yeast but you have to take a lot of it.

In the Great Depression, when food prices were controlled, farmers and suppliers threw away their milk and crops because it cost too much to transport the goods than what they were being paid. It created a much bigger and more costly problem also resulting in food shortages.
Look folks it is garden season. Fresh fruits and vegetables are coming on strong. People need to be canning food for the winter. Look at the ant they work all summer storing food for the winter. If you don’t work (put up food) you don’t eat! We are all exhausted. Teach your children there is more than Mac n Cheese to eat.

Patara I work at Aldi and do the online (curbside) shopping for customers. I shop 10-20 orders per day. On average I have to refund 4-5 items per order because the items are not available. We are out of the items. So it’s not like 2020 or 2021 but it’s getting close.
Working my hinny off to can anything and everything my garden produces 500 jars and counting..doubling down..my grandchildren are not going hungry if i can help it..thanks Patera...hugs from a Mississippi grandma

Our garden didn’t do well because of the grasshopper infestation 🤦🏻♀️ but at least we are getting a few cucumbers and tomatoes and yellow squash. Also raise a few cattle and have chickens so we will be okay along with preparing as you suggest

I heard that at the end of the year, whatever wasn't used gets tossed. Whenever the supply list said bring 3 of something, I only sent one. If my kids needed extra in the middle of the school year, I would get it for them.
I got shingles when I was a little girl. 1st grade I believe. They told my mom I must be very stressed. I’ve never gotten them again , praise Jesus. I do know when I am stressed it’s not mentally but physically that my body starts reacting against me. I now make sure to rest and pray to recuperate my body. ❤
My daughter had a shingles outbreak with 3 of her pregnancies. All daughters. Her last pregnancy, she had a boy, no outbreak. She had chicken pox when she was a baby. Speaking of baby shots. Did you know they are wanting to have babies given covid shot? They arent even at risk for it. Just insane
actually, Patara you're correct stressful situations will bring on a case of shingles because Shingles is caused by varicella-zoster virus (VZV), the same virus that causes chickenpox and herpes sores cuz once you've had the virus it lies dormant in your body until something like stress or illnesses activates it. I am 71 so this wasn't so much of a problem, I had 2 children and lived on SS and part time work. My Goddaughter 20years later schooling was a mess. I would give her glue sticks, craft supplies etc and would give her extra for other kids, but the teachers would redistribute them whether those kids needed them or not. Some parents just expected the sharing and never contributed. Sad, and also even though I am Australian 🇦🇺 I have seen people driving luxury cars lining up at foodbank, maybe their mortage is too high or they are living beyond their means. Patera, I’m a nurse and I got shingles in 2003 after having my first son at 31 years old. You are so right, it’s horrible! Well-- now I have frozen shoulder. Started 10 months ago… could last 3-4 years they say. I’m taking medicine, doing weekly PT and had an intra-articular shot and I promise that this is the worst!!! There is a theory that it could be caused by the same zoster virus as chicken pox and shingles….😢

In the Great Depression, when food prices were controlled, farmers and suppliers threw away their milk and crops because it cost too much to transport the goods than what they were being paid. It created a much bigger and more costly problem also resulting in food shortages.
Look folks it is garden season. Fresh fruits and vegetables are coming on strong. People need to be canning food for the winter. Look at the ant they work all summer storing food for the winter. If you don’t work (put up food) you don’t eat! We are all exhausted. Teach your children there is more than Mac n Cheese to eat.

I told my mom that very thing 20+ years ago. It was mid spring in the high desert. The ants were scurrying all day every day. I told her we might be in for a long cold winter. She asked why. I told her look at the ants and squirrels. They are very busy getting ready for it.

Patara I work at Aldi and do the online (curbside) shopping for customers. I shop 10-20 orders per day. On average I have to refund 4-5 items per order because the items are not available. We are out of the items. So it’s not like 2020 or 2021 but it’s getting close.
I had shingles at 56. Refuse to get poked. My doc said I had the worse case he ever seen. Will rely on my on immunity.

Our garden didn’t do well because of the grasshopper infestation 🤦🏻♀️ but at least we are getting a few cucumbers and tomatoes and yellow squash.
Also raise a few cattle and have chickens so we will be okay along with preparing as you suggest

I heard that at the end of the year, whatever wasn't used gets tossed. Whenever the supply list said bring 3 of something, I only sent one. If my kids needed extra in the middle of the school year, I would get it for them.

I got shingles when I was a little girl. 1st grade I believe. They told my mom I must be very stressed. I’ve never gotten them again , praise Jesus. I do know when I am stressed it’s not mentally but physically that my body starts reacting against me. I now make sure to rest and pray to recuperate my body. ❤

My daughter had a shingles outbreak with 3 of her pregnancies. All daughters. Her last pregnancy, she had a boy, no outbreak. She had chicken pox when she was a baby. Speaking of baby shots. Did you know they are wanting to have babies given covid shot? They arent even at risk for it. Just insane

actually, Patara you're correct stressful situations will bring on a case of shingles because Shingles is caused by varicella-zoster virus (VZV), the same virus that causes chickenpox and herpes sores cuz once you've had the virus it lies dormant in your body until something like stress or illnesses activates it. Greetings from northeastern Oklahoma where our temperature is 98 and the humidity is 65%- sheer misery. My chickens don't like it either.
I am 71 so this wasn't so much of a problem, I had 2 children and lived on SS and part time work. My Goddaughter 20years later schooling was a mess. I would give her glue sticks, craft supplies etc and would give her extra for other kids, but the teachers would redistribute them whether those kids needed them or not. Some parents just expected the sharing and never contributed. Sad, and also even though I am Australian 🇦🇺 I have seen people driving luxury cars lining up at foodbank, maybe their mortage is too high or they are living beyond their means. Thanks Patera, I'm trying hard to buy 5+ a fortnight and any extras I can possibly afford🙏💜

Patera, I’m a nurse and I got shingles in 2003 after having my first son at 31 years old. You are so right, it’s horrible! Well-- now I have frozen shoulder. Started 10 months ago… could last 3-4 years they say. I’m taking medicine, doing weekly PT and had an intra-articular shot and I promise that this is the worst!!! There is a theory that it could be caused by the same zoster virus as chicken pox and shingles….😢

I believe this is a season where God will also remove people/political views (and anything that we put in high regard) from our lives who we thought we knew, yet they were Judases in disguise. Let's be obedient & foll. the Spirit's lead when He reveals things to us about certain people/situations, even if they're the gov't/politicians, co-workers, relatives, church members, health care (we"ve been deceived on this as well), pastors/religious leaders, etc.
Read Luke 14 where Jesus spoke about the betrayals that will happen in the last days & to pay attention to the "fig tree." Additionally, read Ephesians 6:10-18 that talks about that we do not wrestle against flesh & blood, but principalities, rulers, and powers of this dark world, so put on the "full armor" of God!!
Things will get darker & evil will increase. This is why we need to SEEK CHRIST with all of our hearts; PRAY at all times; & look for the SPIRITUAL in ALL things. John 10:10 says, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
