i played this game since it was released, and i was 10 yrs old, but the grind stopped me. I discovered ur channel when you started your f2p farming guide and that (and also the grind being less hard then what it was 5 years ago) brought me back! i watch u from italy and i still love ur content (but i am a bit far behind in the f2p... i spread out a lot of resources!)
Concentrate on 3 characters at once, one character heavily, two more not so heavy.. 👍

That's the one sticking point I noticed starting a new f2p account and working towards Rey, it takes an absolute age to get ships together and when they're needed for GLs, that takes longer than relicing the characters in some instances. Needing to 7* a starting cap ship with a once a month event before you can try to start getting Raddus or Finalizer to 5* which is another once a month event? Ships in general needs a massive revamp, but the farming of cap ships in particular is horrendous at the moment for new players

I’ve been playing the game on and off since it came out, and the double character shards is what brought me back.
Seeing videos like this proves that with enough time, F2P players can compete with those who spend thousands on this game still.
I just hope still that they add double shard drops to ships and gear, one can hope

Exactly i play from 2016 but with lot of breaks . I actually reached lvl 85 like last year. After a big break again i started farming SLKR around september when i came back again ( my main focus was SLKR even b4 his release ) and now all i m missing is a relic 5 palpantine to reach relic 7 and 1 more finalizer event in 4 days from now . Pretty happy with the changes

I have to say, DANG, IT'S GREAT TO BE IN THE EMPIRE TODAY. I LOVE what you put in here about guilds. I have been a guild leader for the past 2 months which I've only managed by having amazing officers. It is insane the level of asks we get. And it's worse being part of an alliance. We have literally taken people with less then a third the average gp of the guild they join, and people still ask for more. So it's amazing to see that comment.
Over a month ago I started a new direction in my farming path - the grind for Master Kenobi
Saving crystals from the GAC changes let me buy 30/40 Aeromagnifiers every week from weekly shipments and i'm closing On my 6th relic (having a pretty decent 3M gp roster already)
The biggest pain are Wat and Bo-Katrash shards but I think I'll start getting Kenobi shards in about 6 months :DD
Yeah Bo-Katrash is painful for now but is actually useful if you unlock Maul some day
But… you can only buy 5 aeromagnifiers a week from shipments.

Being in a good guild changes everything for you as a player. For instance, and I think this speaks for itself, my guild just celebrated its 44th Territory War win in a ROW.

This is literally my account today! I have my slkr at relic 3 and getting ready to finish up it’s been a long strenuous road but I’m glad I did it
Followed this F2P guide myself and dang is it good to be in the empire, I did reach into a couple other teams like revan, cls and JTR but pretty much the same.
Started last march have 2 mil gp now with slkr, full reliced CLS team only 5 star C3PO though still a work in progress, padme, negotiatior, watt 6 star, empire team with gear 12 Vader, Jedi revan, bounthy hunters because of chewbacca.
The only advise I could give new players that hasn’t been said enough is, just go on the discord server and find a good guild that can atleast do the heroic raids, and when you get to about 1.2 mill or so look for one that can do light side tb around 6 stars or so doesn’t need to be high, but will really help you with the grind. I’m saving up a ton of Get 1 for gas.

Ships are horrible to farm. I’ve been going for JKL so I can unlock JML as my first GL, and I’m stuck behind farming ships, and have been for a long time

Gotta say Ahnald, you are a huge factor as to why I’m playing this game, so thank you for all that you do for the community! Considering that you’re going for SEE next, I think this account will be in a situation that is relatable for many players. You won’t have Wat, which is one of SEE’s greatest supports. Do you think only having the Armorer is enough support for him in most situations? It seems like it from what I’m seeing, but curious to hear your thoughts

I started my F2P SLKR farm about a month of two after you started and I'm happy to say I will be unlocking SLKR this week. So like you said it is very possible to unlock SLKR within a year F2P if you are focused. Keep up the vids and the F2P account. I love following along. It's great to be in the empire!

THE original f2p video inspired me to go for a gl, a year later your closer than I am to slkr but I am still playing this game and close non the less, the inspiration helped massively
If there's something I would like to see is: double ship shard drops all across. More purple ability mats, more omegas and more importantly, improve G11-G13 gear supply.
G12 gear needs to be in daily challenges
As a F2P player, the progress you made on this account motivated me to get moving on my own. I've gone from no GL's and barely any relics to one GL and over a dozen relics in one year, all thanks to your advice and entertainment. Can't wait to see where this guide goes from here.

No.1 tip for f2p players: chase the character that's useful and good, over the character that you want. I know that you want Mace Windu more than the ugly ass insects that appeared in Attack of the Clones, but don't let that stop you from farming and gearing the best starter team in the entire game. Getting your favorite character can wait, and the most popular Star Wars characters are all locked behind a paywall. Get useful characters, get good, and one day you WILL get the character you want.

This F2P account inspired me to make a new account after quitting when relics were introduced. Really have enjoyed this content. hope this or a new F2P series carries you into 2022.

Great video. I hope with future videos with the F2P you talk about mods. I am F2P and find it really difficult to get as you call do tier mods. Usually I will have some speed in secondaries but most I get have potency and tenacity as well, instead of something like offense or defense. Also I don't know about you but my drop rates absolutely suck. There are times where I go 3 days and not get any shards of character. Also drops for gear, I can refresh my energy 3 times and get maybe 1 or 2 of the gear I need. Sometimes I do feel like giving up on playing and moving to something like MSF.
Just started my ticket collecting for SLKR. Then going for Malak and boosting some teams that I use alot to gear 12 for GAC.
Thank you for your videos, I'm 100 % free to play since launch. My roster went the wrong way until I discovered the Grand Admiral. I'm almost at 5m gp, gas, both revans, Malak. Thank you again. All Hail the Galactic Empire.

I think the ideal transition for this account would be JKR, DR, Malak (to round out your GAC lineup more, and to let you replenish some g13 gear while you do that) and then pushing for SEE if that's the goal. Good plan GA 👍 Best of luck and it's great to be in the empire today

R2 and 3PO together is SO underrated in this game!! 3PO gives extra perks to gal rep, rebel, and resistance, which R2 is all of, and then R2 shares all of his stats with the rest of the team. Really good!! I use them on my Padmé team with JKA and GK, instead of Ahsoka!
I started an Alt for 2021 to chase SLKR inspired by your journey but started about 3 months after you. I'm in about the same place as you (in terms of how close I am to SLKR) but I joined a stronger guild (about 130m currently). So a good guild can probably shave 3 months off the farm. Agreed that ships, particularly the Finalizer, is a limiting factor on how quickly you can move - it makes me wonder if getting SEE could be quicker as there is only a very small ship requirement.
I'm sitting at 6.3 million gp, knocking on the door of my fourth GL JMK with only the relic grind for two characters left, and I've loved everything you've done on the F2P account this year GA, and I can't wait to see what happens after you get SLKR and climb up the Grand Arena ranks. Those Old Republic characters are looking mighty appealing for a certain Saviour, Conquerer, Hero, Villain

I've been playing this game on and off since it came out and this f2p account you made is better then my account but since I've joined a 80-90mil guild I've been skyrocketing up from 500k to almost 1mil gp I. The last few months I only just hit lvl 85. So it's been rough for me but still fun.
If the farming for F2P is relatively the same, I would like to see you stick with your current account and keep making guides :) your guides for journey battles have been super helpful
Started playing 1 year ago HDB. Went revans then going SEE. Almost got last 3 to g13. SEE with empire, sith, and imperial troopers has a huge amount of range in the game. Glad I am going for SEE and can easily circle next to SLKR.

I think a JMK guide would be interesting to see for those who dare go for him first. I've been on the same train or going for SLKR first and nabbing other things along the way. The problem I notice with hard farming 1 thing is I like to have strong dark side and light side teams to breeze through the holotable missions and farms so I deadlined CLS on the side while building up First Order squad cause you're literally given the whole rebel squad as a new player
I started playing in June 2021 and now 2.4Mil GP. I had bad batch and shaak ti reliced up and well on my way to P4 for the GAS event, then LV ended up being TRASH lol. But I stayed the course and if anything, he will be a powerful defense since the game is now GAC focused. I hear LV does work in galactic conquest so I'm exited for that! I hope 2022 will be the year LV improves to be on par with the rest of the titans!

Started a F2P account shortly after yours, and just started farming tickets for SEE. Looks like a year is a somewhat proven timeframe for your first F2P GL.
Man I started to play this game last year ( months not the whole year) and let me tell you going f2p and blind I made a TOOOOOON of mistakes that I been having to work on now and I am still 81 not max level yet.If I had known of this channel I would be in a completly different level but alas I will keep grinding , I am not looking forward to restart the game from 0 as F2p.
I chose to go for LV as my first GL. I know LV may not be the best GL at the moment (or even close) but he has a fantastic team build to help in GAC. I started playing at the same time as when you started your 2021 guide and im at 2.1m gp. In LV teams alone I have a Ewok, Padme, Seperatist, Droid, Gas, Bad Batch, and some decent left over characters to help me climb and with the changes to gear and crystal income I'm progressing at a decent pace. I've also got omis on my Ewoks and Zam with a decent Malev fleet👍 all this and having got Darth Revan and Malek as well allowed me to get into my first real guild and we're farming Crancor👍
(I'd say I've spent maybe $30 in the past year I've been playing)
I was lucky since I was in a shard that was basically opened after the Rise of Skywalker had released. I had built phoenix and JKR and I came back 9 months later. I was lucky to see that the shard I was in was not as strong, I assumed it was because most people were like me and joined because of the movie so I decided to scrap everything and focus on SLKR. Fast forward to now I was able to hit top 50 in my Arena and Fleet (before GAC changes) and I am now slowly building my roster since I had skipped so many good units. I really think SLKR is the best way to start your SWGOH account as you basically get a GL and 2 solid teams in First Order.

As a semi-new player not too long ago, I can assure you that not having Geonosians towards the beginning is the most frustrating thing on planet Earth in Grand Arena especially.
Im about to get JML and will be getting SLKR around the end of 2022 with only 3 million gp when I do. I miss the old GAC matchmaking that would reward you for being focused
Honestly I would love to see you build up this F2P account and make it your secondary account in the long run :)
It’s refreshing to see you not be in an very competitive guild. Other creators don’t even have Wat ready Geos and have JMK. The reality is that nearly all guilds require Geos to help the Wat farm.
Facts
With the GAC changes and how crystals are distributed, including the gear drop changes we finally got, if any new players or returning players are interested, this game got a whole lot smoother to play and go for the characters you want(besides Lord Vader of course). Got some hope for how much better it could get but it really has been a VERY slow build up. Took so long for things to be streamlined.
These guides are still super useful for f2p players! What do you reckon, is mara Jade still good at 3 stars at high gear for a mid-game player? Keep up the good work Ahnald!
She's fantastic at any level of the game at low stars, just look up his video about her. She gets that train running
I like the SEE pivot after SLKR. DT is gonna be 2x drop soon for farming. I think with a GL now most players would have upgraded guilds. You should pivot to a better guild, not the sweatiest but def a competitive guild now to simulate the value you'll start bringing with a GL. I went SEE, Executor, and just got JMK/CAT personally but sorta wish I went SLKR first. Imp troopers treat this game like a job and get me CT3 rewards and GC rewards like crazy. Wrapping up JMK ult and now farming last 3x SK reqs Talon Dash and Katarn. Pretty excited the game is focused on teams for GAC now. Love what this acct does for the community - and as always, long live the Empire.
I think the lack of purple ability mats should be addressed. I've been playing for a year and it's so difficult to get a team up and running because of those. They are an even bigger roadblock than gear in my experience so far.
do mod refreshes... they give some of those ability mats!
@@iOnlySay If you refresh up until 100 crystals, the best I've seen is 3 purple ability mats. I still refresh up to 100 every day too
Are you sure you’re not just putting mats into characters you’re not using? I’ve never had trouble with this
@@jackkane6238 yeah, it's just hard to put a zeta on while upgrading other moves. I've been working on my rebel fighters for a while now and can't get their moves done for about another week
They’re kind of a gatekeeer in the beginning, but it definitely becomes less of a problem over time, especially if you aren’t trying to upgrade a ton of characters all at once. I used to buy those $5 50 mat packs semi-regularly and now I have hundreds banked up without even paying much attention to them.
Bounty Hunters + ships helps with Finalizer and a bonus side effect of Chewie and Millennium Falcon - well, more of their original use than a side effect.
I actually don't have an GLs but I'm at almost 4M GP. It works pretty well for me to have a very diverse roster with all teams well geared. What usually happens, is either I'm fighting good defense and the opponent can't take out mine, or I get a lot of banners for destroying low gear defense. So this very averaged out selecting of teams is relatively effective. Although I usually don't get 1st in GA, I get 2nd. It is more frequently a fleet issue.
I was a free to play without direction just trying to do all the legendary things. I wish I’d had this when I started. My focus now is going to be sith eternal as I have a lot of that where as there is a lot of need in order to pivot to SLKR
Hey man. I started my current account a year ago today. 2.2 million GP, 6/12 relic characters for SLKR, and just unlocked the last tier of the Finalizer. Also have a low gear CLS team, low gear Geos, G12 Shaak Clones, G12 Bossk and Zam, G12 Yoda on a G11 Revan team, and Relic 2 Vader. Definitely motivated to get SLKR soon and then start the SEE grind.
Which ships and gear level for the pilots did you use for the Finalizer shards?
Before you go for SEE, get some more of your teams that you have started really up and running like Padme, Revan (like you said) and Bounty Hunters. I find it's more practical and is a nice distraction from the GL farm

Hey ahnaldt you should go for the SEE farm this year if you really want to start a fresh account. Sith and troopers are just to good. Iden and emp/mara teams are amazing.

Since TIE Interceptor is a 5* unlock, it's possible to unlock it at the beginning of the 2nd Conquest event if you buy the Conquest pass during the first Event.
1st event
90 shards from Red Crate
20 shards from Jawa vendors
20 shards from Conquest pass track
2nd event
15 shards from Jawa vendors (or conquest pass) = 145
Technically, this means CG went back on 2 things.
1) Conquest pass can be used to unlock the character early (same event but before crate is distributed so up to 2 weeks earlier.)
2) TIE Interceptor is 3 months away so you'll have plenty of time to gear the Second Sister. Even F2P will get TIE Interceptor after 2nd event at 5 stars if they get high enough crates. Only TB requires higher stars on ships and Dark Side Geonosis ship battles are dummy easy.
I also worry that an all Empire Line-up under Executor may be more powerful than the Bounty Hunter Line-up with TIE Interceptor. In your kit review you mentioned the pure empire clause as evidence that it's not meant for Executor, but Executor does have Imperial synergy as it is an Imperial ship so that may not be the case.

I find that to be the ultimate challenge.
I started to go for gl Rey when you started to get slkr, and I have like a month until I unlock Rey
Love the F2P series. The ship grind is the worst. Took about 4-5 months to get Kylo’s Command Ship because I was using crystals for extra energy in ships or whatever was needed for gear.
I love the game but feel like Moff Gideon hits me with demoralized every now and again.
Because of your farming guide I’m getting closer to SLKR. Just getting my squad to g13 and relics.
What’s the best way to produce relic materials? Bronzium wire etc. I think this is my biggest hurdle atm.

Got my SLKR before you, but i had a headstart. worth the farm though
I've been F2P since around the launch of game. Just recently broke 6 million GP and unlocked my first GL - Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. A focused and active guild (that approves of your GP lvl) is key to progression. The extra gear and shards you get from an active guild makes all the difference.
kuiil is on the tie bomber note. So you get him for free and you can put him in a team with vet. Han, Han solo, Zaalbar! so you have a place for those chars too.
I would love to see a new account. Mara being farmable soon, starting with imperial troopers, an easy SEE farm comparatively.

The reason why CG won't double the drops for ship blueprints is because 1 ship blueprint is worth more in the shard shop than 1 character shard. You get 150 shard shop currency for 10 character shards and 152 shard shop currency for 4 ship blueprints.
Surprised Old Marquee Events arent in the Journey Guides. Kinda feel like they fit so well with what the Journey Guide is supposed to help with.
SLKR is definitely worth the grind, though. God tier in raids, one of the best solo characters out there, can counter many teams (SEE, Rey, LV, sometimes JMK and JML depending on RNG). Along the way I picked up both Revans, CLS, Chewie, Padme, and just very recently unlocked Malak. I'm shooting for Rey or JML next after getting 7 star C-3PO.

I'm farming SLKR as well and I brought both kylos straight to relic 7 because I wanted to get the hard part out of the way because I used some rare gear to get them there

Honestly I think starting a new F2P account would only mostly serve content to get SEE and in that case you might as well keep going with this account and build into SEE and save yourself some time for resource acquisition speed. Plus a little more content on some mid game which is a massive area that I always love having attention paid to
im happy to say im ahead of your f2p ahnald. I just have the relic 7s to do. I hoarded gems so as soon as I unlocked the finalizer i got it to 5*. so haha lol, jokes aside your f2p has helped me a lot and I am happy to say that i still havn't spent any money on the game

@@izacplayzgames885 I got you. I still haven’t spent any money on the game and during my slkr grind hoarded about 8000 gems to spend on gear to gear him up asap. (It was not enough crystals) and also to spend on energy refreshes to get gl tickets. The best way to farm crystals without spending money is doing your daily challenges. Also avoid spending gems until you need to refresh for finalizer and gl tickets. Do the entire galactic war every day. Free 25 crystals. But the big thing is just doing dailies and being patient.
@@izacplayzgames885 also if you are going for a gl. Once you meet all the prequisties to start farming tickets my advice is to stop buying energy once the price is 100 gems. It stars at 50 and after 3 buys it goes to 100 stop there and do that every day. Where I am I make over 150 crystals a day. But that might help because of my grand arena rank. Also if you are farming a gl LOOK UP A GUIDE ON UA-cam. DO NOT WASTE TICKETS. I recommend gridan. He has great guides.
@@SharkBaitSHRKB Thanks , But I wont be farming a gl now as I planned to , I just realized that im not gonna have fun whatsoever farming for a gl , considering ill be stuck with FO for over a year when farming SLKR , then SEE is just really bad now considering he gets solo'ed by Wampa (Dang ima farm wampa now) and the other GLs are just crazy reqs although if I even would , id go for JML , I feel like u get tons of good stuff out of him , Jedi Knight Luke , Wampa(That beasts gonna solo SEE) And alot other good stuff , JML isn't so bad himself and can kill SLKR and again id have fun farming him , I have from today stopped doing anhalds guide and started Another UA-camrs Guide , since I actually like his guide , it seems fun , much more free , and not like a chore And most importantly NOT rushing a gl cause they require MONTHS to unlock. Ill be editing when I find that YTS name

@@izacplayzgames885 no problem going for other characters is fine. Gl is a CRAZY grind. Slkr is the easiest gl to farm in terms of characters and relic reqs but it still took me at least a year.
