What do you get when you combine 3 off-road truck campers and narrow gauge trains? "TRUCK CAMPERS DO THE TRAINS IN THE SAN JUANS". Come along for that adventure.
San Juans are one of mine and my wife's favorite destinations. We just got back from our fifteenth annual trip in September. This year our son and DIL went with us. Pictures in front of Yankee Girl in Red Mountain Mining District are priceless. Beautiful scenery. Glad you had a good trip. Mike
Magnificent journey of very exciting and thrilling moments with interesting sights and sounds. America the beautiful. Hope it was 90 day trip. Thank you, take care and peace out.
Just happened upon this video. Really well done too I will add. I don't know I'd take some of those roads in my truck camper even though it's similar in size to the Northstar in the video. JEFE's old truck would easily of the group, be able to handle whatever that road threw at it. I bet the Alaskan Camper with the lower CG would do nicely too. The railroad information was a treat too. Thanks for posting this. Great stuff. Maybe see you at the Truck Camper Rally this year.
Thanks John - As as Corvair enthusiast, and a camping, model train and real train nut, this was a great video! Thanks for sharing - much appreciated. Hope to make the ride one of these days. Excellent video!
@@JohnReynolds661 @Jeff Reynolds Thank You John for recording, editing, compiling, producing this video with all of this beautiful scenery, views, amazing topography, specific history within Your journey together.😏 Jeff thank You much for Your information, details, descriptions, especially about the steam locomotives, railway, cars and Your unique story too. 😏 Am hoping to see more of Your recorded video of, from, with, within, during this magnificent, deLIGHTful 😆 travel, nearly exploratory trip through these areas in Utah, Colorado 😏 [maybe more ?🧐] 😄 So it seems that music, musicians and within the brass are within the family - correct ? 🤔 May You'All have a Judgement, written, sealed for a Good Sweet [New] Year, beginning the second day of this week - tonight. 😏🤓🤗 All The Best and Much Success in Your Quest, Health, Happiness and Well Being. 😊 Sincerely ☺
UA-cam is broke. Never told me about these videos.. like the other guy said. not a v8 corvair but very cool Those drone shots look almost fake but I think its amazing view
Plus: really comfortable seating - the best. Pop top hardside better for sound deadening, insolation and travel. Minus: Bed is not that comfortable, no inside shower. It's a better camper for 4 wheeling.
Great to have someone take us on Vacation with them. Thank you John. 👍 Now, get back on the
V8 Corvair. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻😊
Love the old steam engines. I ride the Shay Engines in Cass West Virginia as often as possible. Thanks for sharing!

Great to see Jefe on the video!
What a great trip / adventure, so kind of you and your friends to take us along to see many things we otherwise most likely never would. Kudos!
I Love Ridgway
Lived there 10 years
Great video, John. Seeing the old haunts on your channel is like a dream.

John any chance you can do a update on Rusty's Dart? I think that car was going to be amazing 👍🇺🇲
Nice Alaskan. I have an 87 model. Living in Ohio you don’t seem many.
I love Chama and the Toltec
Great video, John! Great shots and editing. I also really enjoy your car videos.

Hey, c’mon, John…you’ll never get that Corvair finished if you keep goofing off. Get back to work!😅
Ahhhhh 🇺🇸
Is Rio Grande a portuguese or braziliam company?
Rio Grande = Big River
Nice stuff
How do you like your Alaskan Camper on those trails?
Plus: really comfortable seating - the best. Pop top hardside better for sound deadening, insolation and travel. Minus: Bed is not that comfortable, no inside shower. It's a better camper for 4 wheeling.
I would think 4% grade must be close to their limits?
4% is the steepest on the C&TS Scenic RR. The 488 is a beast.
How is Rusty's mopar?
He's still plugging away at it. Someday, there will be an update.
You still got it, John, I don't care what they say.
Would this be this Jefe of the tan CJ8 Scrambler?
@@nuttersspeedshop The self-same.
