Have you ever tried a Panerai? I didn't get it until I owned one, but they are really fun and nothing quite like them. With such a diverse collection, at least one PAM would be a nice addition.
Wasn’t sure where this video was going but happy I stayed and watched it all! Loved hearing your thoughts about your pieces and brands, felt like just sitting in the backyard, talking watches with the peeps.
My favourite videos are the ones where you talk about your own collection, your journey and your thoughts, just great. Loved the rant at the end about some of these brands too👍
Enjoyed the rant Uptick 😎. I’ve basically stopped buying watches (I have about 25). I need to cull about half my watches and then who knows? Best regards
Great video UT. The Chopard looks great on the parachute strap. I did chuckle about your moonswatch comments I also bought a few. They now belong to my wife😊
This is a very interesting and attractive watch showing. Datejust is the most famous dress watch and when people thinks about Rolex, Datejust is the one that comes into the mind. Another great dress watch I would like to keep forever is IWC Portuguese 7 days white dial. Both are equally great dress watch to me and I would like to recommend to every watch collector.
Thanks for the great video. Truly very entertaining und interesting to hear your comments and opinions. You got a great collection. The Omega Museum watch is awesome. Looking forward to your next video; hopefully again a window watch trip to Causeway Bay or other locations in HK.
Hello, my friend, you have great taste in watches! Love that Omega & Chopard , I like to see happy, I saw an old video of your in which you seemed upset. :) keep up the great videos.
Please do the JLC video, I feel the same way (and many others) I was planing on adding a duo face but they rubbed me the wrong way with a 40% price increases in the last 2 years, with out updating the watches, Omega update the Speedy, Rolex can do what they want, what is JLC thinking. Id take an Explorer 40mm now over a Reverso for the same sort of money money. Great video, very enjoyable, I love the longer format videos!
It's the Time Traveller One, the original colour they did. There are other editions but the standard one remains my fave. Shoot for 40 to 50% off retail when bidding for one I'd say but they're very uncommon because it's not like many people bought them either. They're still at ADs...
Ha ha, never in vain, my friend! A quiet morning bike building and an excellent, discursive watch monologue! Snap on the V8 Vantage BTW - I nearly bought a birth year one, but chickened out at the prospect of ruinous maintenance - stick to the Scalextric! Yes, JLC is bugging me too. In spite (or because - I am a sucker for a pretty face) of the lovely Catherine R, things seem to be going from bad to worse. As I see the same problems at IWC, Panerai, VC and even ALS, I blame Richemont. Shame - some great, great brands being sold down the river of generic luxury and Veblen pricing. As in many areas (cars, bikes...) manufacturers used to make the best they could, then figure out how to sell it with creative, imaginative advertising. Now they are simply marketers who identify an easy sell and then make it as cheaply as they can. Where design used to draw on higher inspiration and could be love/hate, it is increasingly becoming focus group banality. And not many better examples of that than PP. Their recent releases have genuinely shocked me. Dial decoration to look like fake carbon fibre?? Zut alors! Real sub- TAG stuff. Reading the same issue of the magazine, it was glaringly apparent that all their old watches were better than their new ones... Agree re the Calatrava though, but it's too big. Discursive monologue over - enjoy a week of peace!
Thanks for your views, seems I'm not the only one. I had actually recorded a pretty scathing comment about JLC's direction and was afraid to be too harsh but we see eye-to-eye. Catherine comes from jewellery marketing and while JLC needs designers she just sells the Reverso story until we puke. Their best watch, the Duometre, is almost 20 years-old and unchanged. The Master Controls are so bland, as if no designer was hired. Meanwhile wishful pricing has gone insane. Funnily, today I stumbled on the Duometre I was looking for. It might happen. It had to happen...
Thanks for the stories . Do you still have the king seiko or you sold it ? Thinking a bit about it but didn’t pull the trigger .maybe the Willard 😅don’t know .love your zenith . I can’t stand the red omega I prefer the moonswatch over it 😣. Are you getting an AP ? Merci pour le chat
It seems i'm 1 of those 3 guys left at the end 😁 For some reason, i didn't get notified about this video, although i have all notifications enabled, I just found it in my feed. Not the first time happening when you post something new, I wonder why 🤔
NH35 Seiko movemts can be very accurate you just need to regulate them. To the point of maybe within 3 seconds per day. So just learn to regulate the seikos and you will love them. Heard you say F bomb. Nice! Watched the whole thing. Keep the vids coming!
Thanks for watching! Yes, I'm gonna start opening up some Seikos and try to learn how to regulate. See where it gets me. I had always good accuracy with the old 6R15 and 4Rs. Some new ones are fine too
@@UptickWatchReviews indeed those cheaper seikos can be scary accurate. I often ask why bother spending more on expensive brands after the regulation...
If you like some of your Seikos but find them inaccurate, why not get them regulated? Or just sell the model you have and buy a new one of the same model, possibly getting a better one?
But I still would not buy Rolex cuz of their recent movement design issues that deteriorate performance after a while for brand new watches. Became a scam.
Well that's not really some sort of master plan but I can tell when I'm not the only one getting tired of a model that's getting too abundant in the market and it helps deciding I've had enough enjoyment with it and unless I know it's a keeper then I should hurry up to sell it. Just common sense
@@UptickWatchReviews I'm just giving you a hard time! Long time viewer! I know how quickly your collection can change. Being a content creator may have a small part to play in it. Regardless, as long as you're happy and in good health, that's all that matters. Keep up the good work!
Love these long discussions. Really interested in the video you do for GPHG entries, please make it a long video too!
Love this format!! The honest, straight talk about Patek was my favorite part. There’s too much cheerleading on UA-cam
Awesome I was just looking for something to watch! Thank you for uploading this 🙌🙌

Great to listen to you in this long form. Informative and enjoyable. Hope you keep it going. All the best.
Hello from Miami, cool to have these longer format videos. Suggestion to do a chat option. Have a great weekend, cheers

Was interested Omega World Tomer. Now I love the Chopard L.U.C Time Traveler! Thanks for this video.

What is the model number / name of that Chopard? What type of price can you pick a used one of these up for in Hong Kong?

I sold the King Seiko but nothing wrong with it, I liked it a lot but just wasn't wearing it. I did get a Royal Oak indeed. Review video is down here

Great job👍🏻❗️
I have an Aston Vantage Coupe model too. :))
1:43 scale (not a slotcar)
What about Laurent Ferrier? I think they make absolutely beautiful and timeless watches. The price is high but there's a good reason for that.
By they you mean someone makes them and Ferrier puts his name to it

Agelocer is a play on H. Moser.
Nice collezion
That’s a marine nationale strap, not paratrooper. Paratrooper is one-piece
But I still would not buy Rolex cuz of their recent movement design issues that deteriorate performance after a while for brand new watches. Became a scam.
So you keep a watch as long as it maintains value? So, no watch is safe in your collection? You ditching them before the bottom falls out? 🤣
