Some people said that you have to export in lower bit rate, smaller file to avoid instagram to compress your file. NO, IT DOES NOT WORK. I tried compressing files with 4k to probably like 30mb, but it still got compressed. I think the solution is to just upload the largest file size with the highest quality possible.
I agree with 4k sequence but Idk if I agree with 120bit. Instagram compresses down to around 12 to playback so wouldnt you want to get close to that? Never heard of anyone going that high for vertical content. Thoughts?
When I go to upload a reel to instagram after editing the video in Premiere Pro, the audio is a tad out of sync. When I watch the video in my gallery (Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra) the audio is perfectly in sync. Anyone know how to fix this?
i like the way you do this but i think 120 bitrate its not necessary and its too much overkill , larger file and etc... i would recommend leave it on 30 . on mobile devices you really do not notice any difference .

Same! Any way around this? The quality looks great but it will not save to my gallery so I can upload to Instagram. It will save to my files only.

You definitely do not need 120mbps or to export in 4k. IG can only playback 1080p still and it will compress your footage.
Just telling what works for me. I notice a significant difference when I upload in 4k over 1080.

Do you airdrop to your phone to post the reel in the app or do you go through the instagram website?
late here but I'm fairly sure airdrop doesn't compress quality so most people airdrop to phone and post there?

I noticed that a 1080x1920px (HD) size allows max bitrate to get to 50. So maybe you have your sequence size or export size smaller than 4K

Under encoding settings, set your profile from "main" to "high".
I did this but when saving to iPhone it says "Cannot save file"
Did you run it as a two pass by chance or higher than 4k? If you continue having the issue, try dropping the bitrate a little.
4k at 120 bit rate? IG will compress the hell out of that
