It works! My son was in an accident and had a traumatic brain injury. He almost died and even if he survived after five brain surgeries, wasn’t supposed to be himself again. He is almost fully recovered today after six months and he and myself couldn’t have made it through this without Jesus Christ! Adam, THANK YOU for sharing this story. If I may, I would like to hone in on one thing you said. For us Christians, it is NOT about religion-it is about RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. You said you didn't know how to pray...you did it perfectly, as you talked to Him as you would any person you know. He is REAL, He is nudgng your heart, and He wants you in His kingdom! He is the only way to heaven. I could go on about the many prayers He's answered for me, from helping me live with MS for 20 years, to delivering my husband in 21 days, and saving my life when a semi truck hit me and I crashed into the freeway wall (but I wont!). Please keep talking to Him, and we'll keep praying. I want to meet you one of these days...LOVE YOU brother!

When I pray and ask for something, I also ask that God's will be done, because he knows my situation and what is best for me. God is not a vending machine. He is a person, meaning he has free will. Having faith in God means trusting him like a child trusts his dad, even though sometimes the child may not [fully] grasp what his dad is doing. I live across the ocean but you are in my prayers.

Prayer works. My niece was in a horrific accident. She was so mangled. They lost her 3 times in route to the hospital. The rings on her fingers were lost and had torn into skin. They said she would never walk and be blind. She is fully mobile, has her sight and is now happily married. My brother’s FB and mine all prayed for her and it is a miracle.
Jesus died for us on the cross. We pray for you Adam. You are a blessing to us and so thankful you use your spare time speaking to people about Trump.

Hey Adam, I'm 63 years old. I had a liver transplant in December in Charlotte N.C. they also do heart and kidney transplants. I assume you have been wanting to get a transplant. I don't know what is available in your area, But Atrium Health hospital in Charlotte is a good place to go, it's only been a little more than 3 months since my surgery, and I'm already getting around great. If you want or need to, you should check with them. I recommend them. They save a lot of people. God is good 😊. When I was waiting for my surgery, I was having second thoughts, because the Doctor said that some people don't survive the surgery. My brother in law told me that if I couldn't hear God, to look for a sign. The next morning I got a sign, and went ahead with the surgery. I'm so glad I went through the surgery. God is never late. You will get your kidney.
You may not realize this, but sharing your experiences and questions on God's existence...is delicious spiritual food to us Christians. Thnx! I'm praying for that hospital call.

Prayer absolutely works. I have been an atheist my whole life up until recently. I have started praying recently and I have already felt the benefits from it, and months ago I had a situation happen which really confirmed to me that God exists. My brother also challenged God after he was encouraged to do so by someone, and within a couple weeks he got what he prayed for. Praying is so good for your mental wellbeing as well. I personally don't associate myself with any one religion, I believe there is truth in all religions, and I don't believe one single religion has it all right. Just don't treat God like Santa, he isn't just going to give you the winning lotto numbers, but he will definitely change your life for the better. Sometimes it will be instant and sometimes it could take a while, but eventually your prayers will be answered.

God is not a genie in a bottle where you get whatever you want. Sometimes God’s answer is no, or not now. I would suggest that you read the gospel of John. The New Testament is just as Jewish. What was the purpose of the sacrificial system in Judaism? Life for life. The innocent for the guilty. During the Passover, the blood of a PERFECT lamb had to be applied to every door post so God’s wrath would PASS OVER them. Jesus atoned for our sin because he is sinless.
