I've been on pointe for a year, and am using Gaynor Mindens, I literally just got my second pair like 2 days ago. They lasted me a whole year when dancing 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours on pointe per week. I honestly love them.

@Zara Kumar they have shorter vamps but you need to custom order. Or you can cut and shorten the vamp, there’s videos on YT that shows you how. I had to shorten my RP shoes too.
i had the opposite! lol! my feet are average, i can get up and over my box in shoes perfectly fine, but when i wore the gaynors i could barely move my foot at all! i think they break too high
Omg!💖😍 your arches are popping out in all of thosr shoes especially the last one, it was so sleek and streamlined and breaking/bendy at the heel, perfect or very close to. The first pair I like too, as you could tell tge strength of your feet and you looked so very lifted and light in them. Please show us your dancing in them great idea, and could you do a beginner pointe bar class in them...thank you for showing us these shoes and brands and those lovely feet

the tips for changing shoes were super helpful my current shoes are making me miserable because no matter how much i stretch and exercise and warm up my feet i'm being pulled back off the box and i think it's because the shank is too hard so i've been feeling like i have to try something new to try and fix this

I would love to see you dancing in different shoes. As a dancer who hasn’t found her perfect pair yet I love hearing how different pairs feel actually dancing and not just in revelee when getting fitted. I’ve had many pairs that felt great at the fitting that I hated dancing in!
I used to love my capezios when I danced. They were tapered for my narrow feet with long toes, and felt really hard (something I personally enjoy). I felt I was being pushed on pointe and secure while I was up ❤
I loved capezios when I tried them! In my opinion they are a perfect shoe for a performance or if you need a shoe that molds to you quickly. But sadly I break my capezio too quickly (they are too soft for me) so they're not too great for my wallet lol
A tip from me would be dont compare yourself to the other dancers cuz EVERYONE things they're worse than the everyone else, and you get into your own head that can make you make mistakes. TRUST YOUR TALENT!!! And also dont care what others think of you, if you want to smile, or emote in a certain way but you're scared of what people will think of you, just do it anyway!!! You'll stand out and if people are judging you, then let's see them try and judge you when you're dancing Clara. Best of luck dancer!!!
it's really interesting because i used to wear exactly the same shoes as you (bloch heritage xxx in a 5.5) but iv'e tried on almost all of these shoes and they just weren't right! I now wear energetics (brava) and they work great for me
I’d love to see you dancing in these different pointe shoes - I personally love Capezio Donatella (I have short toes & wide feet- and your feet are 100% more gorgeous & well formed/arched than mine) but I also absolutely ADORE Gaynors. I’m personally a Sleek Fit Medium width, 5 Box, supple (pink/medium-shank) but I sometimes do order a harder shank (i.e. ExtraFlex 💛, sometimes Hard 💚) in those same specs but with a lower vamp. I adore a low vamp (which is why I love the Donnatella by Capezio) I was so afraid they discontinued making them - SUCH a relief! I remember a US supplier stopped carrying them, and a couple of my friends with very similar feet to me (Greek + short toes) were panicked- didn’t want to spoil ourselves if there were only a limited amount left. I’m so happy to hear they’re still available! Much love 💞 this is one of my favorite videos you’ve done thus far, Claudia! Love it! Keep it up! 👏😊

Please do a video where you try different ballet combinations with those pointe shoes. I tried to change brands not that long ago, but I went back to my old ones because psychologically I think I made myself feel like I couldn't do as well in them.
My first pointes was grishko 2007 but my ankles were so weak so i used gaynors. Now im switching back to grishko because my ankles are quite strong and wish i can make them stronger. Hope I can do those italian fouettes now, need it for my variation. Thanks for all the tips

Iv tried to many pairs and they all.twist at the back.. my feet are super compressible so I'm really wide on flat then en pointe really narrow .. it's a struggle

Standing behind someone who's really good at remembering the steps really helped me when I moved up 😉. And you don't have to be amazing in the first class, you can get used to it!
I don't know but I hated my Gaynors. I got a yellow bag 4 box. It's the new one that are made in Europe. The box is squeezing me, and my big toe are jamming in the end. And my bones are poking out as well. I regret getting the new made in Europe. I tried my friends shoes (hers is the normal one) I think hers is so comfortable for me. I really regret it. It's super expensive, and I'm scared to tell my mom.

I have very long toes and an extremely naturally arched foot therefore for me super long vamp for support and tapered for the extra long mid toe! And tappered in the back because I have a narrow heel. Only shoe that fits: repetto la carlotta

Kay Shi good eyes! They are Russian pointe just under a different name. I really like them, saying that I also like Russian pointe too! The last couple of pairs I have had are actually, the second pair in the video for class.

Those Energetiks are Russian Pointes here in America. I really like the wide flat platform and no pleats on them.
Yeah same! I wear Russians right now but the length of the vamp isn’t right for me so I think I might move to a different model or shoe
