Not against the trophy, but vs smoke? It shouldn’t impede it at all. Smoke is mostly used vs wire guided threats. Were constant line of sight to target is important.
This is supposed to be about the NLAW, but I'm pretty sure the Carl Gustav steals the show.... Also, is that Jamsheed sniping with a Mortar now? Holy hell. Talk about skills
2:48 so what does it do in this case ? It doesn't penetrate anything .... does the explosion peel off metal inside the tank creating shrapnel that kills the crew ?
Why does the tank seem to be pretty much unharmed by the NLAW? Also, how is it supposed to penetrate the armor if it only flies over and explodes, rather than aiming downwards to direct the energy into the tank?
The warhead in the missile is pointed downwards, in overflies the tank, initiates the warhead and that penetrates the thinner top armour of most armoured vehicles, all the energy is put into damage inside the tank, killing crew members and/or igniting ammunition inside the tank, if the top of the turret is penetrated the tank is dead
Well to my knowledge NLAW is meant to be a disposable easy to use anti tank gun and unlike javelin it isn't reloadable so there's no use to put too complicated guidance hardware on it, need be it can be fired at direct attack mode too. I would compare it to apilas or at4 with an added bonus of guidance & enclosed space capabilities. Just fills one role, armies have other weapons like eurospike for different purpouses.
