I was born in Oldham in 1950 when it was still a thriving cotton mill town and in Lancashire, not Greater Manchester. Great hardworking people, with a great sense of fun. Sadly most of the old northern cotton towns have ended up like this.
Oldham was once a nice town, now it’s more like a third world town.. even when my friend came to visit Oldham for the first time, she commented on lots of Asians and more like a Muslim town. and in the country my friend is from in Europe, not seen 1 Muslim and very few black people .

Oldham town centre is so clean. Bolton is filthy.
