just came back from a week there - everything was awesome - staff, room comfort, plenty of elevators, good cafe, nice pool area and the best location. It's so hard to pick fault. This is how you run a hotel.
I’m planning a vacation to Honolulu in the spring with friends & family and your videos have been so helpful. Honestly much more informative than other videos so thank you!
Love this. Got married in Maui in September and used your videos to plan our trip perfectly. Looking to come back to Hawaii for our anniversary, and you guys are coming in clutch again. Thank you so much!
I just booked a room at this hotel resort for April 2022 because I'm going to participate on running the Hapalua Half Marathon (which has been on my bucket list)! Thank you for posting this video! I'm so excited and looking forward to my vacation and the Hapalua Half Marathon!
I recently stayed there and had a room facing Kalakaua with that same wonderful view. Your review summed up what I thought of the hotel including the noise being the only downside I could think of. The refurb gives a really subtle beachy modern vibe. I got a great rate in May 2021 but have seen rates creep up since then, which is to be expected. Still a good price for the location. Nice review, thanks.
Nice to meet you too Luke! Thanks for the comment. We have enjoyed your videos for a long time and have you on our featured section, as with a lot of the local Hawaii UA-camrs. Keep up the great stuff. We will be back on Oahu in December!
Nice review! I will have to put it in my list for next trip to Oahu. You definitely had some great views from balcony. As I am a very heavy sleeper- so much so I slept through the fire department coming into home when they thought house was on fire, I don’t think the noise would be an issue for me.
That's how Jordan is, can sleep through anything. It gets quiet at 10 pm. The location is hard to beat but comes with some noise from all the live music in Waikiki.
Hello from Australia! Thank you so much for this - after two long years of our country being in lockdown and not able to travel, my trip to Hawaii is booked for February and I’m staying at the Beachcomber. This was so helpful!!
Just left Honolulu on the 29th and planning to go back again next year. I stayed at the Ohana East and some stayed at the Waikiki Beach Resort. Im comparing Outrigger properties and prices now. This video helped a lot.
Thanks for this!! Looks a great hotel! I always tend to go to the same hotels everytime but then you certainly can miss out on better ones. Must try this one!
I have been to this hotel 3 times in the past 3 years and enjoyed my stay each time. Great staff, location, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The hotel is clean, stylish, and has 2 nice restaurants. The price is very reasonable for its location. My only complaint is the resort fee they charge. It is definitely not worth it. Most hotels in Honolulu are charging customers this resort fee which is a hidden charge when you are viewing the price of the hotel.
Aloha Jeff, thanks for sharing your experience! Those resort fees are not a fan favorite of anyone. It is a good thing to budget for in your trip to Waikiki.
We see you guys at the Hawaiian Village coffee this morning! Like seeing some celebrities. One of the reasons why we chose Maui for vacay. We from Big Island.
Their coffee is the best. Feel free to say hi next time! Have a wonderful vacation (even with this rain we are getting but it is good to have rain again!) and we hope to be back on the Big Island in a few months for a vacation.
Is this an ocean view or deluxe ocean view? Headed there in February and hoping to get a beautiful view despite only booking ocean view. Nice video and have watched and enjoyed many of your other videos.
Ericka, thanks for sharing. I need to book a hotel today for a Monday trip, and I'd like to be as close to the beach as possible, in a central location, in a luxury but most affordable hotel. I'm choosing between the Outrigger Waikki Beachcomber, Hyatt Centric, and Halekulani. I'm traveling solo during the week. I want to relax, eat food, swim, and see cultural sights. I'm not looking for a party atmosphere.
Hi guys, thanks so much for the video. Was waiting patiently for your review a while ago and so glad you had the chance to post it. Booked Beachcomber last year but obviously with Covid won’t get there till September 2022. Loving and following your vlogs. Keep it up. Mahalo from Australia 🇦🇺🙏🏽🤙🏽
I'm so glad you saw the review. I was just looking at your comment from February and meant to send you the link. It took us way to long to post this video but it sounds like the timing is good for you. Book early, you never know what will happen with demand and pricing. Thanks for watching from Australia!
All good. I’m just glad I finally got to see a good and thorough review of the hotel and the room, especially the ocean view. Much appreciated. We have booked a great package deal at the hotel, through a third party, which includes breakfast at the Aroma Cafe. Travel valid till Nov. 2022. So looking forward to it now. Obviously with current restrictions at the moment we thought we will hold off till September and hope a lot has changed by then. Thanks again
Love 💕 it! I especially enjoyed the bird sounds in your background. Those always remind me of Hawaii 😂 but my question is….. 🙋🏻♀️ what floor were you on? I loved your Diamond head ocean view!
we like Marriott properties more in Hawaii. They are newer and nicer. In Waikiki the Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider are very nice. See our luxury resort video for details: ua-cam.com/video/Es3N_QnRxTY/v-deo.html
They have a good location on the ewa side of Waikiki, and a great beach and lagoon for kids. It is a great place for families as it is a full scale resort in Waikiki.
I am hoping to book this for my family trip in August and found some good deals on Priceline for this hotel. Did you guys opt for ocean view? We were thinking about getting partial ocean view but I’m not sure how much of the beach is shown in comparison!
Paul Rudd was just named sexiest man of the year and Jordan is not in this video. He's probably at a photoshoot...or wait, doing another video. Your secret is safe with us. haha.
Waikiki and Ko Olina has vacation rentals that are legal. Look on Vrbo and Airbnb to find one right for you. There are a lot to choose from and read those reviews!
Not while we stayed there during COVID, perhaps in more regular times. Duke's is across the street and they are known for their breakfast buffet. Also, Sunrise Shack is across the street.
Can you do an update about Covid restrictions in waikiki? Getting nervous for my honeymoon in January. Fiancé doesn’t want to get vaccinated unless he absolutely has to
We have this video which discusses the current restrictions with links for more info in the description: ua-cam.com/video/J5mL2Y3iBLg/v-deo.html Look at Safe Access Oahu for details on dining for unvaccinated individuals.
Their video was great for the entry! FYI for after landing (we just got back from Honolulu day before yesterday) we had to show our vaccine CDC cards at every sit down dining, including the food court at the Ala Moana Mall, and fill out contact tracing forms. Things of course may change by January for you, and not sure if he would have to do COVID testing multiple times on island to enter restaurants. Hope that somewhat helps!
Looked like a nice place, but I know what you mean about the noise, but that's pretty much a problem with all the rooms that face Kalakaua, that's why I pack earplugs, BTW the Royal Hawaiian is across from the Beachcomber, not the Moana surfrider

We just got back last week from a stay. They do a good job for the price. The resort fee of $40 but little resort amenities stung though.
I’m planning a vacation to Honolulu in the spring with friends & family and your videos have been so helpful. Honestly much more informative than other videos so thank you!
Thanks so much Dianna! We appreciate that. See our website for more information on traveling to Oahu! thehawaiivacationguide.com/oahu-travel-guide/
Well done guy’s, excellent revue today 👍❤️🇨🇦😎
I always stayed at a beach hotel in past visits but this opens my eyes.
Thanks
Love this. Got married in Maui in September and used your videos to plan our trip perfectly. Looking to come back to Hawaii for our anniversary, and you guys are coming in clutch again. Thank you so much!
Glad to hear we helped with your Maui wedding. Enjoy the anniversary trip! We will be here for you.
Going back there for 2nd visit. Love this hotel

Great video, subbed

Thanks for sharing! We like Outrigger properties. They are a good value and have good locations. They are also the only local Hawaii hotel chain!
Thank you Erika and family! We just make a reservation for September 2022 after your reviews ! Again thank you! Well done 👍🏼 🏖🌴🍍
Have a wonderful time in September. That is a great time to visit. Enjoy the Beachcomber!
Really love your videos! Thanks for the content :) I’m excited planning my upcoming return to Oahu ☺️

Really really miss Oahu!
Thanks for this!! Looks a great hotel! I always tend to go to the same hotels everytime but then you certainly can miss out on better ones. Must try this one!
I totally get that, once you find one you like it is reassuring to go back. We have a few like that but yes, fun to mix it up too!

We’re heading back to Hawaii soon and will consider this. We like to stay different places all the time and Location !
We like to mix it up too when we travel. This one was a great location!
Is this an ocean view or deluxe ocean view? Headed there in February and hoping to get a beautiful view despite only booking ocean view. Nice video and have watched and enjoyed many of your other videos.
I recommend calling them to ask. Ours was on the corner so it may have been deluxe.

this may be too late but check out the Halepuna Waikiki, it is next to the Halekulani.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide thank you!

Do you guys have a video talking about your journey to deciding to move to Hawaii? I know it’s a huge move and a dream for many.
between you and me, check out The Worth Project podcast.
What room did you get? That would be perfect for our trip
I don't remember the number but ocean view on the corner, pretty high up! It was great.
Love 💕 it! I especially enjoyed the bird sounds in your background. Those always remind me of Hawaii 😂 but my question is….. 🙋🏻♀️ what floor were you on? I loved your Diamond head ocean view!
I believe we were on the 16th floor. It was an amazing room with a great balcony!
which room type did you guys stay in? looking to go in march or april
What are your top hotel recommendations from Marriott and Hilton ? ...on waikiki
we like Marriott properties more in Hawaii. They are newer and nicer. In Waikiki the Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider are very nice. See our luxury resort video for details: ua-cam.com/video/Es3N_QnRxTY/v-deo.html
I am coming to Honolulu on December 10th. What your thought on the Hilton Hawaiian village
They have a good location on the ewa side of Waikiki, and a great beach and lagoon for kids. It is a great place for families as it is a full scale resort in Waikiki.
Hey Erica and Jordan do you remember your room number there because it's quite a view 🌴
Aloha Kenneth, always good to hear from you. Room 2108. It was a great room with those views.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide By the way I just booked The Royal Hawaiian based on your reviews because you two obviously know your stuff. 🌴
Well done! We are looking at staying there again during our next trip to Oahu. You will have a blast!
Is this room partial or ocean?
I'd say ocean as we got a good view straight out per our memory.
I am hoping to book this for my family trip in August and found some good deals on Priceline for this hotel. Did you guys opt for ocean view? We were thinking about getting partial ocean view but I’m not sure how much of the beach is shown in comparison!
I’m sure they will put you up higher to get the ocean view. We opted for the ocean view.
Paul Rudd was just named sexiest man of the year and Jordan is not in this video. He's probably at a photoshoot...or wait, doing another video. Your secret is safe with us. haha.
I feel like I won sexiest man of the year as his doppelganger. Erica doesn't agree.
I just found your channel.
I have adult kids and do not want to share a room need to rent a condo/Airbnb, I think. What area do you recommend
Waikiki and Ko Olina has vacation rentals that are legal. Look on Vrbo and Airbnb to find one right for you. There are a lot to choose from and read those reviews!
Any breakfast served @ hotel? Full breakfast?
Not while we stayed there during COVID, perhaps in more regular times. Duke's is across the street and they are known for their breakfast buffet. Also, Sunrise Shack is across the street.

What happened to the beach at Waikiki? Oceanfront rooms are really that.
yes they are, Waikiki erosion isn't good. They added more sand in late 2021 and they have learned how to maintain it better over the decades.
...and... the price ? expensive or not ?
we found the price to be a good deal, not expensive for Hawaii.
How much is the parking? This is important.
Prices change and they sometimes waive parking during a promotion so check out their website for info.
What is the price per night
Depends when you want to visit. See link to the hotel in the description
Looked like a nice place, but I know what you mean about the noise, but that's pretty much a problem with all the rooms that face Kalakaua, that's why I pack earplugs, BTW the Royal Hawaiian is across from the Beachcomber, not the Moana surfrider
