Imho I think that will change. Index Necrons were very beginner friendly. New Necrons seem to be quite hard to pilot. Maybe iam wrong tho 😊
@@gnol4688 i played now 2 games with the new necrons (hypercrypt legion). They are harder to play with, but on a high level they are even harder to play against.

excited for the Ctan; i ran a game with all 4 of them and they were pretty unstoppable. I will run a list with them in the hyperphase detachment. And also excited to do a canoptek court list with wraiths i own 22 :D
It'll depend on points cuts, but the SEXTET of nerfs to RP synergies is flagrantly excessive. Lychguard not getting led by crypteks? Okay, cut the PPM and I dig it. Warriors gwtting their ability nerfed? They went to far. Maybe if it was D6 on objectives, but between that, the reanimator being functionally not worth taking with a 3" aura and especially rez orbs... I'm not sure points cuts can compensate. Necrons were by GW's own stats at only 48% winrate, and that's counting necron-on-necron matchups. This is likely to at BEST keep them at 48, and I expect it to plummet a lot. Forgive my lack of optimism.
It's true, look at across the board things got +1 move and lost insane amounts of durability. The canoptek and hypercrypt detachments are all that may save it. But I anticipate a large win rate drop. What we lost far exceeds what we got.
@timzim9314 hypercrypt if anything decreases the value of the move buff. I look forward to the age of the canoptek don't get me wrong, but again the points cuts would have to be remarkable. I'm still waffling on what nerf I dislike the most. Maybe the rez orb nerf, for all it brings orbs in line with tach arrows. That single Neff cut out 50% of our rp procs, and it is making me have PTSD flashbacks to 8th and 9th.
@johnj.spurgin7037 I know I'm imagining rolling a 1 on my rez orb and just calling it there. Would have been better if it was a d3+3 even but just a d6 is too swingy. I'm flashing back to doomsday arks of 9th
I believe the stealth rule stipulates that every model in the unit needs to have to rule for it to take effect. So you'd need to give all of them the shadow loom
32:58 I think the one Reaper warrior can be used to "move shoot move" more easily with a Chronomancer to lead the unit

I played silver tide. I cannot be fucked dealing with hypercrypt c'tan spam or three more powerful wraithblobs to replace the one lychblob.
My guys are going back in the cupboard unless they get a MONSTROUS points decrease...

It seems like mass S5 AP-1 attacks with +1 to Wound are the most efficient way to deal with lychguard with shields now. As someone who regularly plays against Chaplain-heavy Blood Angels, I am very unhappy about that.
They must of changed the Psychomancer because Zandrek is gone which means no more Vect ability.
Can I choose not take the Canoptek Cloak if I place the Technomancer in a unit of Warriors so I dont give them the FLY keyword
Nope, he always comes with the cloak now seeing as the finecast control node dude has been canned
Do the scarabs say -1 to OC to a minimum of 1, or can they debuff all the way to 0 OC for enemy units?

The silent king, Imotekh and the command barge are not overlord keyword which makes no sense
Did you see any changes to the Doomscyth ?
Just the Tesla is now S8 to match the barge.
Are the menhirs still characters? If yes, that King is still not playable, sadly.
They haven't broken the Menhir's down with different keywords, so yes. Just the deadly demise that they don't count towards.

The reason for the new trans overlord is so you can have 6 overlords to field 6 battle-line. If it was a wargear change it would reduce that down to 3. Plus it makes the drop in data sheets more reasonable.
Which makes no sense with them losing the standard on foot techno cryptek

I really hate how the Plasmacyte still gives Dev Wounds.
Which sounds stupid to say but i hate the lethal hits and Dev Wounds combo. I think itd be fun to have them do what they used to do, extra attack and Strength/AP to the unit, but give the Skorpekhs Hazardous.
It's anti-synergy, yeah. Hazardous MIGHT be overkill though? You only get 6 in a max brick, so to justify hazardous you kinda need a buff stronger than what is essentially melee plasma overcharge, unless you cut ppm.
necrons got completely nerfed into the ground. they do nothing uniquely good anymore.

Why not make other units more attractive instead of nerfing whats good? Like you made something good that had a reasonable win rate...

Why don't these people just come out and say it, the new codex destroyed an army that wasn't doing to hot to begin with. It's like they're afraid of GW cancelling them, so they have to say how awesome it is to make the resurrection orb completely worthless! Call a thing a thing, and this thing sucks for necrons.
