I really loved this screen printing press, however I tried to look for the free plan but it’s seems to not be available:( do u have the plan to build it by any chance ? Plzz 🙏
How can anyone not like this video? Really well put together. Thanks a lot :D only suggestion I'll make is that I'd love to see more of the finished product at the end and you testing out a print. I mean, I know how it all works, but it would be a great addition to your videos for viewers to see this badboy in action.
Thank you for taking the time to mention where you got your plans and ideas from, giving credit where its due is an important part of being an honest maker, and too often people "forget"to mention their inspiration. So I applaud you for that! Great project, keep up the good work!
I just bought ths instead awhile ago and love it...www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016VSQVNO/ref=s9_zwish_hd_bw_bs7Wb_g201_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-8&pf_rd_r=0DF3AZMNVQ0R4GKW6PHY&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=6df6bb6a-f883-5a2a-a20f-d2270a5c7713&pf_rd_i=12898641
wow mate. This is really cool. I love to make stuff too. I will make like this for my printing business. But sad to say, I don't have the tools like you have, the wood cutter, those heavy duty metal drills. But I will try to make using only a traditional hand saw :( tiring and not accurate. Again a very nice video, it inspires me more. Hope to see more from you. Edit: I'm glad I found the layout in your site. Request: Can you make a cool silk screen stretcher? That would be awesome. Made of wood too.
Let's see this sucker in action. Proof of concept and such. If you spent 2 months tweeting it and had to change a couple thing it would be great to know. Thanks. Great vid. Lends itself to Frank Harwath only without the stop motion.
I definitely plan on doing a printing video with it (once I get my next shirt designed) but I have used it once and it worked GREAT! I was really surprised honestly. I think if anything, there will be some trial and error with getting the registration to match between different screens, but that's really all about precision when marking the centers of the screen and centering the art. Thanks! and I'll definitely get a printing video up in the near future!
man this is pretty awesome, and i have a regular one out of steel, that if i knew how to do this, i probably would have built one instead of buying one. I would love to see someone, build one of these with registration. lol
Bob - so much gratitude for your video and guidance! I have successfully built your version of this press, and am ready for printing. Just picked up screens and ink yesterday! I wanted to add that when I drilled holes in my C clamps, I drilled two - close together in order to avoid the jb weld - on a drill press slowest speed using a little bit of oil (just motor oil) - and my cuts went super fast. Like less than 20 seconds. Also, I was thinking about making the platen large enough for the whole screen to rest on - don't know if this is completely necessary for most applications, but would allow for maximum printable area given the screen size. (using the 20x24" aluminum frame screens like you too. ) THANK YOU in the highest and best way bro! PEACE STeve ARnold Winnipeg, Canada
you didnt use JB weld, you used Qwik weld, the metal difussion process is better with actual JB Weld sibce its still patented. *pro tip* any tine you are JB Eelding different metals, scuff amd clean your bonding surfaces (with rubbing alcohol). should work way better... p.s. i think your videos are amazing! could you do a "walk thrpugh" video of your shop and show us how you have it set up and what is where? i am moving mine to another location and only have about 200-300sqft.
I know this video is old but I recently updated my screen print setup using toggle clamps and I figured I'd share that here. I'm considering building this rig myself and toggle clamps are awesome for quickly clamping down frames.
I wonder? Do you still use this? If so, Pros v Cons? What would you do different, Metal or Aluminum perhaps? Quality v. consistency v. Speed? Just Curious. Would really like to build this exact thing.
Hello!! Thanks for such an AMAZING video… easy to understand an follow… I have tried to get the blue print from the link however it says the page can not be found and it give me an error msg… is anyway you can send me the blueprints if you don’t mind me to ask? Thanks in advance
Hi I love your channel and I've actually made one of these using the same plans you mentioned in this video. But just like in those plans it's a 4 color one shirt press. I was wondering if you could figure out how to used your existing 4 color press and add an attachment to convert it to a 4 color, 4 shirt press. As it's the same thing I'd have to do and would save me a lot of money. Thank you so much. Ps. Love your channel and vids. Especially liked the arcade cabinet episode, and plan to make that during the summer. Thanks again.
Hey great video! I wonder if the thickness of the pieces are critical because I live in a metric country and planks with the measurements in the guide are not easy to find around here. Have you altered the thicknesses or is it very important to use the correct dimensions to make the press work? Thanks in advance!
Hi Bob: Bob here. This is some beautiful work. Superb craftsmanship! Just a tip for anyone using J B Weld. If you can, rough up both faces you are trying to join with some sandpaper and I think you'll find that it holds a lot better. I used a ton of J B Weld when I made my one color press. Much respect and thanks a bunch!
Hey Bob :) That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing! I'll give that a go next time I use it. That makes a lot of sense because the aluminum that I was using was really really smooth. Thanks!!
Just what I need, enlightening your video, ready to print my T-shirts,.... I've seen other videos where the shirt holder has an adjustment screw, you know if it's important this accessory ....gracias saludos
Hello How are you, on your shopping page you have a micro-registration screen printing system, I would like to acquire the plans of the wooden pieces and buy the rest of the components since you only have for sale the components of the basic screen printing system . how could you help me?
This Man has it down. I like how he gets to the point and makes it all quick and e-z .
Great to see all the work put into these videos rewarded with so much more work, views and subscribers. OG fan here, Bob! Thanks for everything.
This Bob is so sad, the new Bob is happier. Cool project tho.
he is sad because he had to sacrifice his clamps
no beard..looks better with a beard
You can't use Bob Ross's name like that! It's like people in the 1,300's forsaking God's name guy! Wtf?
@@abelinkin damn straight brotha! Bearded and proud!
He looks that way as he has been a UA-camr before the major filtering, and knows the evils of our keepers. ;-)
I really loved this screen printing press, however I tried to look for the free plan but it’s seems to not be available:( do u have the plan to build it by any chance ? Plzz 🙏
honestly way better than some pro ones I've seen
Wow. great build. Would love to see a followup with the press in action seeing issues that come up with it and the final product that you can get.
How can anyone not like this video? Really well put together. Thanks a lot :D only suggestion I'll make is that I'd love to see more of the finished product at the end and you testing out a print. Thanks! I recently did another printing video and show it just printing a one color print.
Hes changed in three years
John Venier the intro hasn't xD
yeah his confidence has boosted
I was thinking (almost) the same... a year on ;)
You hasn’t changed much in six years either
Really nice table making
Thank you for taking the time to mention where you got your plans and ideas from, giving credit where its due is an important part of being an honest maker, and too often people "forget"to mention their inspiration. So I applaud you for that! Great project, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much Steve Buscemi
Lol, that's exactly what I was thinking 😂
Throw in some bad teeth and a lazy eye... Pre Wedding Singer era, maybe?
I DID THIS!! got all my stuff from home depot and lower. and now i have my own company and brought all new equipment.
How much did it cost you to build it?
+TheMajorPCGamer around 350 total.
I just bought ths instead awhile ago and love it...www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016VSQVNO/ref=s9_zwish_hd_bw_bs7Wb_g201_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-8&pf_rd_r=0DF3AZMNVQ0R4GKW6PHY&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=6df6bb6a-f883-5a2a-a20f-d2270a5c7713&pf_rd_i=12898641
$350???
Almost no way it cost you that much to build this.
home depot is expensive, you can got it cheaper on small stores and buying used wood
This is how theXMen Quick Silver working on rotary screen printing. Don't blink! Lol good job!
Well that just popped in my recommended,
didn't know your channel goes this back.
Awesome video Bob of I Like To Make Stuff! :)
the machine u builed is very use ful for screen printer thank you...................
I think the angle of the clamp helps it to stay against the aluminum angle

Wonderful project.thanks
Great! Just what I was seaching for!
Fantastic!
wow, hahahahaha younger Bob is so sad!!! nice stuff always...
Great Video Bob.
Do you need to purchase the screens or can they be homemade?
+SonarIsDead They can be, but I've found over the years that the store bought ones, especially aluminum, last a lot longer.
man this is pretty awesome, and i have a regular one out of steel, that if i knew how to do this, i probably would have built one instead of buying one. I would love to see someone, build one of these with registration. lol
Incredible and overwhelming

Good Job, i enjoy this
Thanks for sharing!

Came across this great video too late apparently. The stuff at printingplans isn't up anymore. Anyone have an alternative?

would you happen to have a list of exactly what by any chance? that would be nice... specially knowing i have never done ANY kind of carpentry lol
I wanted it to see it on action...
You look so young, I wish you could have shown us how it worked out by making a few prints....
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I wish I have some skill I would def. Go head and build!

Thank you! I'm starting a Screen Printing business in my garage and I needed this! This helped me alot since I'm 14 and I have no money haha
this is good
About how much do you think it cost to build this?

Thank you for this GREAT video. Keep up the AWESOME work!!! A+++
3:18 How do I not have one of those hold down clamps? That will make securing stuff on my drill press so much slicker. Thanks Bob!
awesome dude! it really helps. :)

Who's watching from 2017
who never knew this video existed and this video now pops up when i look up how to build a screen printer in 2018?.. the Mandela effect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone made this project and know how much it costs to make this?
What a great instructional. The time elapse photography works far better than video. And your narration is very clear.
Muy bueno. Gracias
keep it up!
love you so much from pakistan

Those sped up shots of using the table saw make me nervous. It looks like he's not being careful with his hands on the table saw.
What kind of board did you use for the octagon? it doesn't look like ply.
Great video! Is it cheaper to make your own than to buy one?
sure it is
Wao this is great
Future Bob is allot happier :) Be like Future Bob.
I made this. But the spring just recoils it back. What can I do to fix this
hi Bob! :-)
I really love your videos and your work. Does this video have a diagram on how to do it? hope to got a copy of it too. :-)
how much it costs to manufacture and ship to Brazil ?
i like it
Need to scrape off the galvanized coating and/or oxidation for hte JB Weld to hold.
this is like a more masculine version of asmr videos
Damn. At first I didn't even recognize him!
Just what I need, enlightening your video, ready to print my T-shirts,.... I've seen other videos where the shirt holder has an adjustment screw, you know if it's important this accessory ....gracias saludos
What clamp are you using on your drill press
You Are a Fucking MASTER!
good

That Bob doesn't look like he likes to make stuff
I would like to know the measurements you used for this project I really like the way it's set up, please help?
