- If you need to capture an entire website exactly as it appears online it can be challenging. In this video we show you how to save (or screen capture) an entire webpage in .PDF or .JPG format on a Apple Mac while keeping formatting exactly the same.
Many people know how to save a webpage or website to .PDF or .JPG on a Mac. The problem is keeping the formatting accurate so the result looks exactly like the website. In many cases the final graphic or .PDF will be saved so you can read it, but will be formatted for printing instead of viewing and won't maintain the correct format.
In this video we show you how to save any webpage to a .PDF or .JPG using a free piece of software that will maintain all formatting correctly. If you want to save a website to read while you don't have Internet access or if you want to archive a website this is a good method.

is this still working on macrumors for 2021 because this webpage doesn't have the 3 dots to take the screenshot???
Thank you Craig, saved my day!
Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much. Just what I needed urgently. Subscribed now. Have a good day from a very wet UK.
Thanks for sub. Also feedback helps. Love the UK and will head back to visit soon.
I have been looking for something that does this for a long time. Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching
Thank you once again! I’m starting to wonder how much money you’ve helped people to save. $ 50 now, about $100 for the external drive with the Lacie enclosure, then the money for good equipment at reasonable prices which helps to avoid the Apple tax.... I’m convinced that in my case I saved about $300 or more! Thank you for that!👍👍
Thanks for the nice words. Hope you are doing good and staying safe.
I think the latest version of Firefox on mac doesn't come with that option. Sad :(
I'll need to review and thanks for checking.
Thanks. It only captured the first page, however.
super helpful for designers to showcase their published website in the portfolio!
Thanks for watching Jing.
Thank you for this wonderful easy tip.
Thanks for feedback Rochdi
In Safari, you can go to FILE -> Export as PDF, should save the whole page
Thanks for sharing.
Firefox screenshot is no longer available, so this doesn't work in the current version
I'll need to review and thanks for heads up.
@@craigneidel Let me know when you figure it out. It used to be easy on the mac, but they've removed that capability--apparently, hoping to create another way for developers to charge a monthly fee for a function that was formerly free!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching.
Excellent
Thanks Eduardo. I hope you are staying safe.
Heroes don't always wear capes
Funny... Thanks
Love your outstanding videos!
If I had an idea for several videos how would I get that info to you privately?
Thanks for watching Frank. Can you provide some of the ideas in this thread just to see what they might be? Just maybe a quick intro first. Then we can decide how we want to proceed. Thanks again for supporting the channel.
Is this a addon? I haven’t this function
No, it should be in there as I don't have any add-ons. Thanks for watching and the feedback.
Open FireFox, right click (ctrl + click) on the browser toolbar (next to the address bar, not in it), select 'Customise Toolbar' and drag the 'Take a screenshot' icon to the toolbar. :)
Thx.
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching Tony.
how to create html from normal word doc of PDF
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. You can't really create html from PDF but I think you can in word with a few setting. Although there might be a program out there that can convert PDFs into HTML but I just haven't used it before.
