Thanks... I guess :) but I am not sure that I fully understand what you mean.

He means your logic is goal-worthy. Is something of great accomplishment, something he would consider a goal, or something he would like to attain, or something he would not mind accomplishing himself. It is a slang used in the United States. That is my best definition of it.

Thank you very much for explaining this to me. I appreciate, when people take time to teach me new things.

100% agree and well said. Most people would never admit to thinking like this though.

i listen to stories about children who die from being abused from their parents, and i feel horrible. but then i also think about how many other children are enduring a suffering death on the planet and feel bad for them too. i guess i’m one of the few that thinks like that

That’s probably one of the reasons why humans have evolved to have some depressed individuals in their tribes. It seems to help in looking underneath the many shrouds of bs we have all over the place.
I’m glad this channel is helping us do just that.

There is an answer to your question and it doesn't have anything to do with death. Shootings and terrorist attacks have political implications. A terrorist attack on Germans is an attack on the German nation in the abstract. People care about deaths from terrorist attacks because they identify with their national and ethnic identities and see these attacks as an attack on an element of their identity.

Why all of your videos have to age like fine wine? Seriously, they are so relevant nowadays...

I mean they can literally make money off the stories of people dying and do, through using ads before during or after the story.

Even since the birth of journalism people use death for monetary value

I get upset when I hear or see about these events. Not so much because they are dead but because don't like to see that dark side of humans. So en genaral I just avoid news and television. But you are right. I like your logic.

The reason is 'intention', 'motive' and the fact that those people didn't have a choice. Also, the fact that people die because I started my car this morning, polluting the air, is not a 'direct effect of my actions' in our minds. The human mind has a temporary and fractional 'god'. My next 'god' is the apple, as I take my first bite, the next one might be my tv, after I had my apple, my next temporary, fractional 'god' is a coffee, etc... that's how our minds function. Being in a constant stage of 'mourning' wouldn't be healthy, nor would being in a constant mind set of 'total detachment'. Life is 3 dimensions interpreting time and vice versa, while putting a part in a memory for a while.

i get depressed thinking about the homeless deaths from either malnutrition or overdose given most of them have no one who cared they passed or will actually make some happy it happened. the homeless in the United states are victims of a sick society. i cant stand when others treat all homeless individuals like garbage....some are bad and selfish people but not all.

What im about to say doesn't apply to some thing that millions of people 'care' about bc they saw it in the news, but it does to local deaths.
A few years ago, some guy got hit by a car in the city i used to live in.
At first i found it bullshit that ppl who didnt know the guy seemed to care this much bc of all the ppl dying globally, but i gave it some thought and then came to the following:
If everyone kinda cares extra about local ppl dying, all the families of the dead ones get support instead of everyone being kinda indifferent.

I get this video I don’t care if people die unless I know the person like family or friends but the thing about todays society if you aren’t sad about these insignificant deaths people judge you heavily and it’s annoying and makes people who think and feel rationally look and feel out of place.
