Fantastica voz, me gusta.
I did not know how far you would get when I took you and your father to your hotel room prior to your performing in Claremont , California. I am so glad have come so far and you are expanding the repertoire for our national instrument. Felicidades y un abrazo.
Wao… beautiful… I actually think the cuatro originated from the four course Spanish guitar, which indeed had 4 double strings. This guitar was later increased to five course guitar like today’s cuatro. This last guitar was small like the modern Puerto Rican cuatro and was tuned the same as the modern Puerto Rican cuatro. The difference is back then there were no metal strings like today’s Puerto Rican cuatro. That would have been introduced later. The Spanish brought that instrument to the island and became what it is today.
Ones to watch??? Really???? What about Eddie López, Josean Feliberty, Javier Alicea, etc...? True virtuosos of the instrument who don't have to play "jAzZ" to try and impress gullible audiences. Kudos to her for playing. Anyone who plays loves it. But, these youngsters like the two Fabiolas are really below average students.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed listening. Enchanting songs, like the cuattro ~ Everyone did a great job. 🙂
