Saw Alisa at City Winery in NYC when she opened for Graham Parker in 2021. She performed solo that night, so it is fun to see her perform here with her trio. Get her new album and go see her live. She's a brilliant talent.

I'd like to recommend the Audiobook version of this wonderful book. With the exception of the opening chapter titled "Osgood's Wonder, Being the Reminiscences of an Apple-Man," the narration is excellent. Osgood's accent and enthusiasm is a bit grating. Keep going, don't stop!

How much is the publisher spending on marketing for this book? It's a terrible book! It's a book about apples written by a seriously sexually repressed man. The characters are two-dimensional and completely unlikable. The descriptions are sparse where they need to be in depth, to flesh out the characters, and way too detailed where they could have been one line. The entire chapter on bug porn was entirely unnecessary. I can not fathom why this book is being pushed so hard.

Really wish all three hosts spoke at this speed on the podcast. Ive listened since the beginning and one consistently sounds as if she speeds up her own voice after recording the show. I'd never known who was speaking, but her observations and especially her summaries are great. And i dont have trouble keeping up - but she sounds like a competitive debater - if not a super bright chipmunk.;-> So i played parts 10 minutes of this at 1.25 speed. 2 hosts sounded like normal voices speaking very quickly, and i have to admit the guest reminded me of the podcast speedster. Who turned out to be Lea - far right - 1.25 playback creates an absolutely perfect match to her wound-up podcast voice. Ok. ❤ the show even when the sensation of listening to a speedfeak makes me tired ;->

I'm Glad my Mom Died~ my interpretation of the title is that the title is a way of saying Jeanette knows that if her mom lived, she probably wouldn't have been able to heal the way she's been able to. The enmeshment, codependency, ED and OCD would probably have continued. I'm glad her mom died, too. Her mom is finally at peace and Jeannette is healing beautifully! ❤
