You just explained perfectly how I feel...she's smart she hilarious. I see a madigan clip posted I get excited and get situated in my special designated area and start watching. I've even gone back to older clips to watch again I love her. I'm surprised she wasn't bigger than what she is. Id be complete if her next show was three hour stand up....I'd shut my phone off close blinds lock door and clap my hands twice to alert family I wish to be alone ..I have found my folly for next three hours...(clap clap) depart from me you insulent fools. To which I'm sure my daughter would respond....um right ok so....so if you had maybe $20 dollars I could depart depart further from here for the day...to which I'd throw her a tube socks filled with nickles and Chuck e cheese tokens from 2002. I asses that's how it would go down if Kathleen had a three hour special...either that or y'all look at me everybody HUSH I WANT YALL OUT OF THE HOUSE TAKE THE CAT WITH YOU SHES ALL OVER THE PLACE....WHOSE SHOES ARE THESE? HEY! DONT PUT THAT EMPTY POPTART BOX BACK IN THE CABINET THROW IT....GIVE IT HERE...YALL GO! OR SO HELP ME THREE HOURS IS ALL I ASK JUST....WHO SMELLS LIKE WET DOG? GET OUT....but it would come out like the get out from Amityville horror. And even though I clearly must have a demonic entity in me they'd ask if it had $20 since mom not available. I love it when she tells about her parents quit smoking, and her mother tells her as soon as her father dies she’s going to have a cigarette! Kathleen just needs to do entire show on her parents! 😂

Kathleen Madigan is brilliant. I wish her much success. I hope her calling politicians a decade or more past retirement age PawPaw catches on until they leave out of embarrassment.
Wait until you’re older, have more life and professional experience, have a broader network, and are called obsolete. You will feel,differently. Younger politicians are a “black box”. You need to see how people have behaved in many situations.
She was great ! Loved her bit here. The "Pa Pa" structure was so on point. I'm Canadian and for the last few years have wondered why so many white old men run American politics. If you look around the entire World. There is no other place that has a literal Senior Citizens club running their Countries. Sure an old man here and there involved in leadership in other Countries, but not like the US old timer's club. Time for American citizens, irregardless of what party you vote for, to vote in younger leaders. Great job Kathleen ! I'll be looking for your Netflix show.

At the end of the day, we’re all people, and you show yourself to be the kind of hateful and bigoted person who can’t bring themselves to afford another person basic human decency. I don’t think that’s the flex you think it is. What does it cost you to say they or them? Which by the way is grammatically correct in the English vernacular, and has been used since the 1300’s to describe a singular person when gender is irrelevant to the conversation or plot. You don’t seem to understand that everyone is different, and we police what people call us by all the time. When you prefer a nickname and tell people to call you that instead should you be berated for it? I’d suggest you look inward and try to realize what has made you such a closed minded and hate filled individual that others trying to be authentic to themselves and living their own lives bothers you so much. And also, just how does it effect you? I’m female, I was born female I’ve never felt I wasn’t, but that doesn’t mean I don’t respect the people who have gender dysphoria or that I feel the need to negate their experiences simply because I haven’t felt them myself.

I miss watching new episodes of this show because it's the best way to get aware of news without having to watch news. And I HUGELY SUPPORT the writers and musicians and Stephen and everyone else on this show in the big strike, for as long as it takes to get what you're asking. I'm glad I can still see previous episodes like this one.

So right... It's not a problem to have an old president or some old elected officials here and there, but it's a problem when the average age in both houses is about 60 years. People don't know when to quit.

Hey, I live in Florida! So do my parents. My mother has Alzheimer’s and my stepfather can’t remember anything. To compound the problem, they watch Fox News all day everyday. I can’t really even talk to them anymore. We used to just disagree. Now they insult me and call me names. Fox News made them crazy and mean.
Maybe if you use parental controls to block fox news, and lock the TV on a better channel you can convince them that they've been liberals the whole time. If their memory problems are bad enough, it just might work! On a serious note though, that sounds like a really messed up situation, I feel for you.

It makes NO SENSE IN THE WORLD that there are no term limits in the Senate or anywhere else in our government.(besides the president of course...who doesn’t exactly have the power you think and is really also controlled by this untouchable group)Isn’t that the opposite of what we advertise or represent. It’s almost like a dictatorship in a way since they have free reign and control making them untouchable. That’s not what I think of when I think of what democracy is said to be..

If politicians are over retirement age then they need to be retired...they can go live under their golden parachutes
when the retirement age was set at 65, most people died by 70. now most live decades after retirement. why call for them to withdraw into stagnation instead of living richly and contribution to society?
It's not a high quality life. My parents stopped living 'richly' as in being active and engaged with the world when they were in their sixties. My dad was sick the last 10 years of his life. But politicians don't work 8 hour days, they don't work 5 days a week, they get long breaks, they have a sit-down job ---- that's one of the reasons they don't retire ---- that, and their egos are constantly fed, and they like the power and kickbacks. Normal people can't keep standing on their feet, actively working, much past 70 ---- even if they don't die until 90.
Politicians that have been in service of country for over 40 years need to step down because the positions of government for public representation was never meant to be permanent
