So losing 3 of my resistances, and maybe some other slots to improve the damage of Ice, Fire and Water Charge Blades. It still works and gives out optimal damage?
Just watched your video it's nice to see a build without health drain for once. I've been using it for the longest time, and it's honestly gotten annoying. I can't enjoy hunts cause I feel too rushed with dereliction.
@@kura7967 never going to be optimal with this set, optimal is dragon conversion/strife/bloodlust/dereliction/furious, but yeah, if you drop a couple resistances you can still make the other elements work, i've switched all my elemental CBs over to this template set for comfort

Recovery Up is a very easy skill to roll, and will make Blood Awakening easier to activate, as well as make you inmortal if you play well. I really recommend the skill, it paires well with Blood Rite.
I wonder if feline medic affects it
I assumed it only worked on healing items, not skill heals

I like every build with no dereliction but still hit like truck.
I wanted to use CB in Sunbreak after i saw a mod that turns a CB into virtuous treaty and contract from Nier automata. And since i already use the 2B mod, i wanted her to use her weapon as well. But since i am a bit rusty at playing CB (used it mainly in World), a more comfy build will have to do first. So thank you, this helped a lot!

Since you asked I’ll give my favorite weapon design for each weapon type
Great sword: diablos, longsword: chameleos, sword and shield: Royal order, dual blades: teostra, lance: primordial, gunlance: silver rath, hammer: espinas, hunting horn: primordial, switch axe: velkhana, charge blade: primordial, insect glaive: violet mizutsune, light bowgun: royal, heavy bowgun: mizutsune plush, bow: azure era, overall winners would be primordial and royal guard
i was using regular malzeno lance layered but opted to primodial one, i like blue-ish color scheme
wind mantle is such a beast skill. My current build includes coalescence and bloodlust with any elemental phial weapon with the exception of using the chaotic gore magala charge blade. right now with augments, i’m using furious rajang helm augmented to have a level 2 decoration with its natural 2 level1s, silver rathalos chest piece augmented for two level 4 slots and level1, amatsu gauntlets and coil and chaotic gore magala boots. my talisman has level 3 wind mantle. i just beat risen kushala daora through an anomaly quest and got its helm, gauntlets and boots for full wirebug whisperer, burst, and wind mantle. gonna give them a try for a quick hunt to see how powerful it is.
For weapon designs I love Chaotic Gore weapons - with it's light/darkness theme and Elend/Essor was my main weapon in MH4U for a long time before I got a decent relic
oh, the layered and armor set looks nuts. lol - but yes, the new* primordial set is awesome and a great one to finish sunbreak with. the fight is one of the best i've had in a long time. :)
What torso is that layered armor? Looks so cool
As much as I love chasing the highest damage numbers, I usually make comfort sets since my play style isn't so clean. So these are the type of sets I look forward too.

i feel ya, i like the highest numbers but i hate dying if i get hit once xD that's why I ended up going for this set, survivability, decent enough damage, and an excuse to use the new skill

My cb is so much stronger this time round bs world. I've learned so many mechs which is good with this being the only weapon I've ever used in mh. Question tho. What buttons are you pressing at 0:59 to do what looks like a regular discharge when the Shields charged , which usually causes the super elemental discharge
If you’re on switch: hold left joystick down and press X during the SAED windup to cancel it into a AED. This is good if you know that a SAED won’t land but a AED will.
Tip: I like to spam Down X during the windup so I don’t miss the timing.
If not on switch: X= top button

no, just the melee hits. the only thing directly affecting phial damage are any elemental attack boosting skills

it really depends, for dragon awakening you can get good elemental boosts by eating for elemental resitance dango, but I always prefer the simplicity of booster + adrenaline/moxie + defender

raw charge blade (impact phial) is terrible compared to elemental. i know it's a pain to make a CB for each element, but raw is so so bad in comparison it's not even worth it. If you're talking about the spinning blade playstyle, you can run the same thing, just drop attack boost for crit and opt for sharpness skills like masters touch or razor sharp
is it a guarantee chance roll drag convers or it's just rng? or we can just choose to roll for drag convers? im kinda confused
you can't roll for Dragon Conversion, you have to get it randomly
How do I obtain Dragon Conversion my talisman? I was searching through the skill list on my Cyclus Qurious Melding and I couldn't find it anywhere. Do I have to unlock it first in order to meld to able to meld that skill into a talisman?

this is my early game build, probably too early for what you're asking for. not really a post story build, I'll see what I can find for around MR10. Just know that elemental phials are legit 10x+ better than impact, so try to build for element if you can!

Can this set work without Dragon Conversion? I don't have it on a charm and from what I understand it has to be rolled randomly. If Dragon Conversion is essential, can you recommend a piece of armor that can be swapped in with it?
if you haven't gotten a Dragon conversion charm from the Vigor melding, then just using the Risen Valstrax armor will work. the whole thing kinda revolves around it, so dropping it is a loss in element for sure
I tested this set and sometimes it seems that its bugged or something. I fought an anomaly great wroggi and the phials never did more than 36 per phial. anyone else experienced something like this?
wroggi has 0 dragon element weakness, so you'll do no damage to wroggi. for wroggi you'll want ice charge blade, i'd recommend the Aurora Somnacanth CB for ice phial.
this may bea noob questions , but how did you get the 3rd slot for the valstrax coil? mine only have two
my guess is you're using the Valstrax Coil - Eclipse (from Regular Crimson Glow Valstrax) and not the Valstrax Coil - Epoch, which comes from Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax

yeah i'd originally set this up with dragonheart, but because you heal so much it makes it have like zero uptime xD which is why instead I have all 5 elemental resistances in xD

How do i unlock the dragon conversion skill in the talismans?
you just have to reroll the vigor melding and get lucky, there's no way to meld directly for dragon conversion
That set is powerful but without rapid morph must be hard to use
you can fit in rapid morph if you want, if you watch the video, at 5:56 i say you can add any skills that you prefer!

Since Partbreaker are essentially free, I'm wondering if you can fit Bloodrite 3, Blood Awakening 3, Dragonheart 5 and Dragon Conversion 3 with a Frostcraft 3 Talisman together? And what happens then?xD
you can get dragonheart 5 easily, just drop the element resistance + decorations, however, since you're constantly healing with blood rite, it's nearly impossible to stay below the 80% HP threshold needed for dragonheart to be active. that was my original idea for the set (and actually the special investigation rathian footage in the arena for the background is using dragonheart 5), but since you're always healing, it has almost no uptime after you get a part break or 2

@@CyroSynn well frostcraft is a huge damage boost for phials especially elementals in AED playstyles, and I like repositioning myself by sheathing my weapons when I do so

you just need good luck from Vigor Melding

artillery only works for impact phials, which are awful in sunbreak. you can add rapid morph later, it's too expensive for me to get in with everything else, so you can add that with augments, power prolonger is pointless and expensive bc it's super easy to refill your shield with counter peak performance silkbind

rapid morph as an augment is probably the way to go
The best looking weapon should be Basarios CB hahahaha... nah jokes aside, my top 3 CB best looking are Gold Rathian, Chaotic Gore and Somnacanth cuz of the hidden face

Imo you should absolutely get rapid morph on any SAED build no matter what. I have no idea how you’d land a single saed with no rapid morph levels.
skill issue, but yeah, I have it added in my augmented set, it's really nice, if you're dying to get it in and for some reason can't augment or slot it in, just drop an elemental resistance+ and go for a rapid morph+
rapid morph makes CB far more fluid to play no matter what. it's one of those skills like evade extender to move around faster, I can't live without it.
morphing into chainsaw mode, trust me you will feel the difference immediately despite some people saying it doesn't matter
Why no crit element?
charge blade phials can't crit, so you'd only get the bonus on melee hits, not worth it

Tbh i dont understand why people are so afraid of dereliction when blood rite heals so much of it off. Youre way more likely to cart to a bad decision than to health drain for the endgame monsters.
Especially with the new armor, it should be really comfy although it does require a good dereliction charm.
Blood Rite with Dereliction makes sense on paper, but the healing you get from the former offsets the extra damage at lower health from the latter. The skills contradict each other too much to be truly effective. But if it works for you, that's cool tho.
@@XASPrime If you mean from strife you still get massive damage increase even if you only have a little bit of red health. Dereliction is just an additive elemental increase.
@@the_blahhh Ah that's true. Strife slipped my mind as I haven't been playing MH a lot recently.
the whole needing to break monster parts first and if you happened to have some bad guard points and not getting off any attacks, you are kinda screwed. why a lot of people including myself tend to not use dereliction. if my nose is itchy and I need to sneeze that's a cart with dereliction.
Too much full dps. No ironwall, evade extender, sharpness managment, focus-load shells, i'm not that good of a player to completely let utility go
then you can feel free to slot it in, that's the cool part about these no qurious sets is that you can really customize it with extra skills you like after the fact!

no, but it doesn't require losing HP, i find it's more comfortable for late game anomaly monsters, since they can have well over 100k HP in solo. I don't love being a glass cannon all the time xD your highest damage ele CB will still be dereliction + dragon conversion + strife + furious (and dragon heart for dragon CB)
@@LordViettner yeah I’ll stick to health drain. The game is not hard enough for me to need or want to run comfy sets. And like you said end game monster has over 100k hp, I want to do the most damage I can as a solo player.
My advice for the dragon build is to swap out the element resist deco for dragon heart deco, when your health is under 80% u get 50 to all resistance while on blue scroll, before healing use dragon conversion swap to red scroll for max dps
the issue with that is once you break a part with this set, you have literally infinite healing. you basically never have dragonheart active at all. That was my original build actually, then I dropped all 5 dragonheart for element resistance because it is almost never active except for maybe 1-2 phials. you get more damage overall across all phials if you opt for the element resistances for dragon conversion ://
