The Skoda Kamiq may be the Czech brand's smallest crossover, but it offers a surprising amount of space, comfort, and technology for its modest dimensions. While it doesn't stir the soul with its driving dynamics or bold styling, the Kamiq makes a strong case as an incredibly well-rounded and practical small SUV.
Right away, the Kamiq's interior impresses with its spacious accommodations. Despite the crossover's tidy exterior footprint, there's an abundance of head- and legroom for rear passengers. The back seat can comfortably fit two adults or three kids across without feeling cramped. The boxy body also translates to a respectable 400-liter cargo area.
Up front, the Kamiq provides a straightforward, no-frills cabin design that's ergonomically sound and constructed with good materials quality for the class. The ride quality is plush over rough surfaces, making the Skoda a great runabout for urban environments. Road and wind noise are also well-quelled at highway speeds.
On the value front, the Kamiq shines by offering a robust list of standard safety technologies like automatic emergency braking even on the base SE trim. Pricing is attractive too, with the lineup starting under $25,000. If you can look past its vanilla styling and driving demeanor, the 2024 Skoda Kamiq is an immensely likable compact crossover that overdelivers on practicality, comfort, and bang for your buck.
