What's happening in City of Plum Grove in Liberty County? Nobody has mentioned it it's like it doesn't even exist anymore... I doubt it could have withstood these heavy rains and the run-off that Colony Ridge directs right at the city neighborhoods! Livingston to Huntsville sure caught a lot of storms this morning, I saw it reported that some 10 inches fell between them in the Sam Houston National Forest area and THAT all drains into the East Fork of the San Jacinto River watershed. Also so that Lake Livingston Dam is releasing some 100,000 cubit feet of water per seconds... what's the record dam release there?
Bit more to it than that, most of the cities in the world are in flood plains because they're on rivers and coasts. It takes planning and investment in prevention infrastructure to prevent floods .Houston (all of Texas really) has had so much growth that none of the infrastructure can keep up even if anyone is thinking of it. Houston area has had major floods at least 3 times in the last 10years and some flooding every year- you're not gonna move a city that size. Flood management has to catch up .
This is even more sad in these hard times. 😢
I grew up in Livingston Tx never seen this happen

This is the record they were at around 125,000 cfs yesterday
I hope that's not bayou water. The reason is that the rain water is clear and clean.
I am so sorry for those Texans.

If human beings continue to increase their population, this situation will happen every year in the future, and it will become more and more serious.
Let’s just build in a flood plain and never move lol

Not a place to live unless major solutions are put into action.
I hope this doesn’t interfere with the $96,000,000,000 welfare checks going to Israel and Ukraine.
Nice. Let's be an azz today. Your mother will be proud.
