  • From Orbeli Street in Yerevan, I drive to my future workplace: The Anania Shirakatsi University of International Relations in Nork Marash, and then take you on a walk around the neighborhood.
    As of the 13th of August, I will take up a position at this university (in conjunction with the Royal Victorian University Foundation), as the Head of International Student Relations. I am honored to have been given this opportunity to help bring more local and international students to this prestigious university in Armenia.
    I point out different buildings and places of interest in Nork Marsh, which is a very surprising part of Yerevan that I'd never visited before.

    Thanks for little tours to the marash ( Մարաշ ) Marash is totally different now. When I use to live in Yerevan marash has no buildings it was only one or two floors houses and that church is new ,my time no church in marash. It really good place to live in old nork ( հին նորք ու մարաշ ) and marash. The only marash has problem at winter ❄️ when it snow if they don’t open the road quickly cars having big problem to go specially marash.
    You have great day sir. You may like to travel to Erebuni,there is museum also there.

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  Місяць тому +1

      @UserUnkown-do1ji...actually, all it would require is an adjustment to the traffic light duration during peak times. Sometimes the traffic police make the situation worse...but at least their presence might stop the lane-cheaters!

    Ваша супруга прекрасно разговаривает и на русском языке, и на армянском , и на английском языках, она могла бы вас немного научить русскому языку. Русский с английским похожи, и ему проще научиться, чем армянскому.
    А в Армении многие люди понимают русский язык, и прекрасно на нем говорят. Мне довелось и учиться, и работать со многими армянами , и впечатления только положительные.
    С уважением, Сергей Алексеев.

    U building … For international relations…
    Consulte of Canada by Canadian standards …
    This area lacks urban planning, missing streets … public sidewalks, boulevards, medians, safety …
    This can’t be called a city!
    We lost trust in ourselves, the Church forgot its mission.

    It is sad that Armenia may not be as "Christ centered" as it used to be... or do they go to more Prodistant churches?

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  Місяць тому +1

      @dianakenderian...Hi Diana Jan, thanks for your comment. No, I think it's more the case of apathy towards the church and Christianity in general. Most Armenians are content to go to the church for baptisms and marriages and to light candles. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that if they go in the true spirit of our faith. Biblical teaching teaching is what is lacking, and also a genuine desire to follow Our Lord's teachings.

    From assessing the control devices of that particular intersection, I’d say the ignorance and failure is falling on the government (the transportation department, if they have one), for failing to install the left turn arrow to avoid the traffic jams, as well as road rage associated to the traffic jams. That intersection is very susceptible to traffic collisions because of its construction configuration. They should imminently install the left turn signal.
    When it comes to the arrogance and ignorance to the laws and orders, I’d say the Armenians are the heroes in that department. If there was a competition for the ignorance and arrogance, the trophy would never leave Armenia.
    It’s very unfortunate that there’s no competition for that. Or for any bad things for that matter. If god was to reverse the good into evil and evil into good, Armenians would hold the #1 spot, and be the most valuable commodity in the reverse format.
    The Armenians are also very keen to claiming that we are the first Christian nation in the world. But when It comes to the faith, they don’t want anything to do with that. Your on is your own.
    I’m happy for you, with your new job Mr. Mitch.

    • @ArmenianLifewithMitch
      @ArmenianLifewithMitch  6 годин тому

      @@PURE_LUCIDITY you are correct, though Rome wasn't built in a day! Actually, controlled intersections are very inconsistent across all of the main centres. It took me a long time to learn where each traffic light is situated...as a lot of them are mounted in obscure places.
