The old Star Wars sets were very blocky, and it's a shame that the gungan sub didn't come with Ob-Wan, as well. The Star Wars sets have come along way since then.
As a toy collector (star wars gi joe transformers and Lego) over the years I added the Lego star wars in my star wars collection it all started with the mini figs back in 99 I picked small sets and my love of Lego came back I started to check old lego sets in garage sales and flea markets took my own lego sets from the basement and started to collect Lego. Lego are so fun and you meet a lot of people who share your passion. Cool the drop ship I still haven’t built mine yet and I had bought an At-Te just to put it with the drop ship
I have all of these old 99 star wars sets (pretty sure I have the whole run). They're all just mixed into my parts bins though, the builds aren't very good and I don't display Lego like you do. I remember reading through the comics and building all of the alternate builds for them, it was very challenging for me as a kid and a lot of fun. Now all of my Lego is sorted and my kids play with it along with the newer stuff, which is muuuuch better
These builds look less detailed than the late 1970s space sets. Why? A very small amount of GooGone spayed on a paper-towel, not the part, will remove the glue with a bit of rubbing. Just be sure to clean it with a Windex or plastic polish after you use the GooGone.
Hi Bricksie. Those old sets from 1999 were really lovely sets at that time, and make for an interesting historical aspect to your collection. Please find shelves for these pieces from Jonathan. I think it's good to have a look back at Lego way back then. My grandchildren are privileged to have all the sets we bought their parents. They love visiting us because we have all the building instructions, plus many catalogues thay they enjoy looking through. Thanks for a trip down memory lane.
I actually have a lot the Star Wars 1999 vintage sets in my collection. I also bought the parts and made my own complete Dropship, but without the figures
If you could find old battle pack with clones it would do the job. I also have lots of old star wars sets Im amazed how they changed over the years I have the 2002 tie bomber and the latest version that I haven’t built yet and boy its totally different
Around 18:50 into the video, you mention getting into the Hulkbuster set. My question is: Will you build it per the box instructions or will you ( Please God ) build it from the Rebrickable build by Ransom Fern? I bought the Hulkbuster set for that exact purpose. It's sitting in my backlog. I would love to see you take this on, and give me a sense of what I've got myself into. Cheers to you, and Thank You!
Who ever put those super tacky price stickers on these print parts should be held accountable for crimes against the geneva convention (LOL). I bet if you soaked those parts in warm soapy water with blue dawn dish soap and gave it a light scrub it would remove more of the residue.
It's wild to see how far sets have come! The instructions have been really improved too. It's too bad Lego has moved more to stickers than printing parts.
I must admit that hurt, how could you possibly think the probe droids in Darth Maul’s Intercepter were anything other than probe droids… bombs? Really? have you never watched the Phantom Menace?… Congrats on the awesome old sets!
vintage star wars sets awesome review
The vintage dropship is awesome gundum and obi wan figures are

Indeed I started collecting star wars sets in 99 and its fun to see how they evolved over the years

The drop ship can also carry the AT-TE’s
3:25 to answer your questions according to Phantom manice episode 1 . their little probe scout drids i thinks.
The Gungan Sub does come with three minifigures, you're missing Obi-Wan.
You didn't watch the entire video.
You didn't watch the entire video.
@@KyleExplosion Yes I did. He found it at the end in a bag of bits. He still didn't know where Obi went.
I have the sith infultrader and gungen sub I do cherish them
I would have liked to have the sub since Queen amidala was in that set
Can you do a video of sets you wished you had if money was no option?
The stickers are from a thrift store. I'm sure someone bought each of those sets for $5 at some point.
The sub is so cool ❤
03:17 yup that are more seeker droids
05:16 maybe using for you underwater scenery?
15:45 that was mine first Star Wars set
i hope the winter village?
The current Sith Infiltrator feels overpriced.
Indeed so does the skiff
Love your sorting containers 😊

Good morning brother Jordan i take first time today
The gungan sub does come with 3 figs obi is missing
Nice, he may have been in the other bag, I'll have to find him!
@Bricksie plus im sure you could find those blue tube pieces and complete that gungan sub, its such a classic set
This was a fun look at older Lego sets!
I suggest using steam or a hair dryer (not too hot) to help remove the price tag sticker
Indeed. Thank you
@@BricksieI hadn’t watched the whole video yet, my kids kept needing my attention 😂

Had that sith infiltrator as a kid! I'm pretty sure those are the probe droids.

Ok that face time was adorable

really shows how much sets have come. they were suck simple builds in 90s alot of times
Plus you could do other things with the sets
I have watched all 3 Star Wars films but still don’t recognise these models.
Episode 1 and 2 -3 plus snowspeeder (empire) speeder bikes (jedi)
Probe droids
It’s a fast food build ! Lol
It's wild to see how far sets have come! The instructions have been really improved too. It's too bad Lego has moved more to stickers than printing parts.
Indeed I just hate stickers they were more fun with printed bricks
I suggest WD 40 for removing the stickers.

hahaha oh yeah, he sends them out on Scarif looking for the big tall furry animal and the funny looking short green guy or or something like that.
@@Bricksieyeah the Star Wars fan in me gets the best of me sometimes…
