I watched this video thousands times already but still crying like the first i watched.. That's why iKONICs will not shut up when people bash them.. I'm so glad that they come till now, and more times to go, i will support them till whenever. ♥

It still feels like yesterday that Team B supporters.. yes not iKON fans just yet.. watched this last episode in bated breath....
Team B fans already knew... the show simply wasn't structured in a way that enabled Team B to have a chance. And this final performance, where they stripped everything down, and just bared their hearts. Hanbin wanted to convey the messages from each member's hearts so he based the lyrics on their diary entries. I believe Team B knew too, that this might be their last performance.. hence the lyrics, that they will touch the sky regardless.
I drowned myself in tears watching this performance that day, and many who supported iKON since then would be the same. Because we really didn't know what lay ahead for Team B. I felt it was so so so cruel that the results were revealed on stage, where 6 teenagers' dreams were crushed before the nation, right in front of their parents and beloved ones. Yet they humbly accepted it, congratulated their beloved brothers, and just stood there ... crying... not knowing what to do. There was a fancam of what occurred without all the editing... and the boys just stood there, crying. Hanbin was captured saying sorry and bowing apologetically to a fan. It seemed like eternity as they waited for all the YG artists to get on stage, to congratulate the members who were now named "Winner". Forever, before they were ushered off the stage.
what next? was what many asked? no guarantees? no news? Team B fans wished for anything to know that the 6 members were still together....we waited and waited and waited... amongst the rumours that the boys had disbanded, that certain members had been recruited by other agencies. Every week on Friday, we would try to trend a certain hashtag associated to Team B, hoping to catch anyone's attention. That yes, Team B deserved to debut as much as anyone else. That they were worth it. It was only until all 6 members were spotted that everyone let out a sigh of relief. They were still together! And this alone made us cry tears of joy, like the fans who hoped, prayed and wished that some sort of miracle could happen; the boys were desperately fighting to show that they worthy of debuting too. Brief news about them would make our little fanbase go crazy. I guess you could say we became experts at waiting....
This desperation, this fight, the perseverance to prove themselves til the end still exists til this day.
They suffered through WIN, and they suffered even more through Mix and Match. They suffered for 2 and 1/2 years after WIN before they were able to have a debut date. Arguably, one of the hardest agencies to debut through, iKON truly willed themselves the entire way there. Working hard at every aspect to improve themselves and show YG that they were ready to debut. They worked hard to overcome the loss that probably haunted their sleeps. Notably, from the WIN loss, Hanbin wrote the hit song, no.1 chart topper "Empty" which was later given to Winner as their debut song (I'd recommend you read the lyrics of the song).
While some have a smooth road, it appears that iKON's journey has been filled with pain, yet they somehow overcome each hurdle they come across, together. They are somehow able to regroup, and come back with a more focused, positive and optimistic mindset.
And that's why many would agree, iKON truly deserves the world.
Also, I truly enjoyed your reaction. Watching anyone appreciate iKON makes me really happy. Thank you for giving them the chance, thank you for recognising their talents. Thank you for not placing them in a certain box and placing your own expectations on them. They truly are such a talented group. A group that can do any genre and excel at it. A group who works day in and day out til this day, as if they were still trainees. A huge welcome to our fandom!

Reading this today make cry again just because I remember those days, it was so hard because nobody knows what could happen whit them, the only thing that I had in my mind those days was that I want them together, in YG or in other company, but together. The relief came, but the strugles too, that was hurting, why people atacked them? they don't even knew them or knew they hard work or they hard times, but they hurt them with non stop, Bobby and B.I. suffered a lot because their had a "public" life, I'm sure the other members cry for them during that time too. And then the debut brought happines, during Climax in the debut concert I only could cry over and over again, I was so happy for see them on stage, officially. But then...god. They always get a painful road. Maybe we are seing the light finally. Who knows? It doesn't matter, they got up over and over again, they certainly will do it again if is necessary, and we will be there by their side.

Wow thank you for writing this. I bexame an ikonic after love scenario and its really nice to know things about ikon before debut. These guys are really talented but so underrated. Hopefully more and more people will now see their worth and support them more!

Until climax, I was hoping for Team A.....after climax, I watched WIN again to appreciate Team B as much as Team A. BigBang brought me to Kpop, but WINNER and iKON mean the world to me now. I will never understand the fandom immatures who are adamant WinKon isn't a thing😢

Oh FINALLY!!! iKONICS may have different preferred iKON's best songs but CLIMAX always hit us hard, no matter how many times I have watched and listened to this song, the feeling is still overwhelming like their emotions poured in the performance is preserved in that video. That is why CLIMAX is so important to every iKONic. Thank you.

As a person who's there since before they debuted. Read a lot. Seen enough imo.
One person said here, it was a promo for both team, Who Is Next mainly Team A who's older than the raw Team B who's members 16-19.
The screen time more for Winner to be the heart factor among the audience.
A few years ago. An american got to work in YG. She was part of a young team who's job to create concepts for groups. This was around 1+ year before WIN. One of the concept was exactly Winner. The 'highclass' look. Initially they wore suits most of the time. Find My YG Internship. WIN is all planned to debut the 5yrs average older Team A with 3 popular members already due to KPopStar etc.
Team B were winning and looked stronger. At one stage, YG had to throw a screwball at Team B so they get flustered and wouldn't do so well. He asked them to change the lyrics at the last minute. WIN Ep 8.
The part that YG screwed them over was the section voted by audience that held 60% of total score, the self composition section. Where he asked Team B to change at the very last minute. Their confidence were faltered they were worried about mistakes just like Team A was.
Making a song 3 days before performance?!! They eventually got it 2 days before performance day but they had to learn the lyrics, and prepare some sort of choreo too. It was the first time Team B was frazzled like this.
First battle, Team A won over the unknown Team B by only 2.74% That's less than 3%.
2nd battle, Ep 7 & 8, Team A only 0.52% . That meant Team B was gaining interest despite the underdog feel of Team A with 2 popular members.
In S Korea, it's great screen time does bring popularity regardless of their level of performance imo.
The last battle *The voting numbers was kept a secret*
Team B's Just Another Boy has a better youth feel through song & performance and Climax had great impact.
That's all I can say.
To me, it's all part of the plan.
Including the incidents in M&M. One of them was YG purposely put Junhoe & Yunhyeong at the bottom 2 even though those 2 can sing a lot better and danced a lot better than Chanwoo at the time.
This is a multimillion business. They've got to have a plan of course :|

I's just talking about the past to highlight that he got it all planned.
The other guy Jinhyeong in M&M had a nice tone, can sing well enough, and danced better than the other 2 guys but he's a bit nervous.
What you probably did not know. A person who found out about Jinhyeong before M&M, worried if he might replaced one of Team Bs made a false accusation of sex molestation. It was widespread across S K which of course spread to other countries.
The friends and teachers did their best to find the culprit but the deed was done.
Jinhyeong had the least votes in SK and China if I'm not mistaken.
He cried when he first found out about it. He had done something wrong in the eyes of SK though, they had a picture of him smoking. That was added to his downfall.
While he hadn't the many votes from SK & China. He was first in Japan.
Last battle, the YG people (composer, producer, singers and choregraphers) voted for him but audience vote had a lot bigger %.
Chanwoo's a great maknae in the group and I really like him though :D

BTS at the time was rising and they had more content online which helped gaining more fans. The fans just read the lyrics of YGGR , mostly or watched the performance video .. mostly.
Another group felt they were dissed by Bobby in his rap.
Bobby mentioned clockwise dance. He meant idols who danced in a staccato movements. At the time, there was group who actually did a clock movement. ... more hate came.
Bobby's a hiphop boy who has more american taste cause that's where he grew up in. He rarely watches other idols's MVs or performance.
It was a general diss at idol rappers who can't rap (the cause of him getting dissed) just focus on your dance or something like that. I didn't remember it much because it wasn't big of deal imo.
Bobby saw himself as an immigrant alone in Seoul.
During breaks when he was trainee, when he missed his family, he would go to his aunt's little pancake shop and helped her out.
His aunt is the one he hugged in YGGR performance because his family couldn't afford tickets to go back to Korea since he was 16.

we've been waiting for this, thank you. all I can say is both team A&B deserved to win, b'coz both team have the same passion to what they want to do. it's just haters that didn't understand that and trying drag them down. But unfortunately they cant b'coz this boys not only working in same company but also treat themselves as a family, a brother & that made them stronger.
justforiKon WIN is the very standard of a idol survival reality show. It shows how melancholic and brutal competition is but also shows how brotherhood and relationship is more rewarding than debut or success.

I agree with what you said about YG debuting both groups no matter who won because it's not like they were going to loose all those other fans from the second team if for nothing else other than money hahaha. I'm glad you finally watched it and I'm actually glad you watched WIN first since it gave you some perspective. Climax is a song that always gets to us(iKONICs) no matter what time you listen to it in fact I just bald my eyes put while watching this reaction. 4-5 years later iKON has now debuted and is successful and this song still gets to me. Mix and Match is crueler than WIN for reasons you'll see when you watch it. Anyway thanks for the reaction also iKON are apparently having another comeback in the 5th of March? Even before they debuted they had immense hate. It started when YG wanted to debut Team B, iKON. After years of no new group in YG since 2NE1, many including fans of YG , of Team A members before they were trainees and other new fans were loving the new debuted group. They embraced Winner. Which is great!
They had a hit debut which went number 1 called Empty and a youtube show called WinnerTV to show more of their personalities.
Empty.
Hanbin had gone through immense depression. Worried about him & his members/brothers.
He composed and wrote the lyrics of a song called Empty.
Yeah, you can say Hanbin *gave* the song but it wasn't his idea.
Like what YG did to GD when he made the song Lie for his own solo and had the song released for the whole group BigBang,
YG asked Hanbin if he could give Empty to be Winner's debut song.
Winner had composed and written songs too for their debut but YG had Empty as one of the title songs.
That song was Winner's 1st number 1 hit in charts.
That song was Hanbin's 1st number 1 hit in charts.
Some of the fans of Winner didn't like it. This added to the hate of Team B/iKON's existence.
I feel defeated writing this when remembering what happened in the past.
Seeing iKON ridiculed for being ugly. YG's megaphone of statements saying iKON's the next BigBang added the fuel. YG said that too in 2014 when Winner debuted.
But iKON received more hate.
One of the reasons was Show Me the Money S3.
I'm going to just paste what I wrote in a reaction video saying RM from BTS & Bobby had beef cause Bobby dissed him & group.
This is 2017. It's been 3 yrs so I'm gonna put this down for others to read too.
BOBBY DID NOT DISS ANYBODY SPECIFIC. IT WAS A GENERAL DISS to idol rappers who suck at rapping.
1) Show Me the Money Season 3 , Bobby and B.I were looked down on and dissed. People thought he's just one of those many idol rappers they saw on TV who can't rap well. Even the producers side eyed him thinking he's one of those.
- he made a diss to all those rappers that don't have skill. Because of them and their rep, he got dissed.
RM is definitely not one of those rappers.
2) The line in song, " If skill equals to looks, I’m Won Bin in front of a bulletproof glass "
- this line refers to the scene in Ahjussi / Nowhere Man, where Tae sik (Wonbin) kept shooting at the bulletproof glass which had the laughing villain, Man Sik behind it. It's one of the best scenes in Ahjussi and one of Bobby's favorite movies.
It's Bobby telling us he's determined to pierce through public perception of him as an idol rapper.
That line was so apt to the situation because he actaully did it. His songs were top in the charts ; Go, L4L, YGGR and Bounce. His raps were all about him and nobody else.
3) The line in song, "_They call me a monster_, I’ve never called myself that "
- That rap line was made in his semifinal rap, YGGR. He was called that by the korean media after they saw him being a beast in each stage/performance.
*That line most definitely showed his denial of that title (given by Korea media) *, showed how humble he is
Why RM responded? After the fans made noise, RM thought it was a light dig. But it was never about him nor his group.
Bobby himself said he didn't diss any specific just a general diss to idol rappers who can't rap. The agenda was strong in almost all performances he made. All except one, L4L .

@Mind of Mando I'm glad seeing this reaction, during the time I was struggling in life and fell into depression i become empty, feeling uninspired of everything around me, watching this made me somehow cope with the things I've lost and made me remember the things that are important to me and how I could continue my life and dream again. Win and Mix and Match had a big part on overcoming my depression. people can say what they want telling me it's just a show or a group but these guys made songs and experience that poke my dying life a chance because they themselves felt and experience tons of struggles and it's no joke and you can't question that sincerity. seeing that made me love them and have faith in myself again. that's why iKON has a special place not just in my heart but also in my life. I'm not even the only one. I saw alot of brief stories of ikonics share the same reason of loving ikon. they are "INSPIRATION" it self.😊😊 sorry for the long rant
leopika kawaii people are inspired by things others find strange. I was inspired by all of Kpop and a couple of years ago I was just like you and I started watching Naruto and there was this character named Rock Lee that had nothing and turned into something. Even when it seemed like everything was taken from him in a fight he refused to let that be his end.
Just like how WIN is a show so was Naruto and that character was written that way. Didn’t stop me from letting him inspire me to get off my ass and do something with my life. What ever inspires you just grab on to that and ride with it👌🏽

leopika kawaii you are right, me myself experienced depression that makes me think of just ending my life, it was a dark time of my life especially that no one really knows what i am feeling inside because they always see me as someone strong and always happy. They cant see the pain behind my smiles, they cant tell that im just pretending to be okay. I barely go to school and I just want to lie down on my bed and do nothing. So i can say that iKON has the big part of me moving on. Ive been a fan since 2015 and Im happy to see where they are right now. Watching them inspires me that we all have that bumpy ride in life, watching them not giving up to their dreams despite of all the hate they get from others makes me think that I can also surpass my own struggles. We see iKON not only as an idol but we iKONICS feel that they are our friend who is always there for us to lift us up and bring smiles on our faces. Im just emotional thinking about their journey and looking at them now, they really deserved the world and every love they get nowadays. I just hope that we will stay by their side if ever they go through a lot of controversies, I hope we will be that friend who will not turn their backs on them. Saranghae ❤️ Hwaiting!

I'm with them since day 1 WIN i witnessed with my eyes how they've been through hell, get tons of hate even before debut and unfair treatment from company. we defend them from haters 24/7, we begging fair treatment from company by spamming YHS's ig everytime, k-ikonic even boycotting some stuff to get noticed by YG. some stay some leave ofc, not everyone enjoy rollercoaster ride
and now you have no idea how happy and thankful iam because the boys get love and recognition they deserve.

Hanbin kind fell hard in depression (the other members felt a lot too) but he still gave his own song for Winner to debut.
Jinwo (Team A) moved away from his family, but he visit his parents in his days off -which is not much in trainee routine
Bobby was actually almost 4 years straight without seeing his family at all (mom, dad and brother lived in Virginia) bc they didnt have money to affaord tickets ... He was casted to YG when he was still in USA, and moved to Seoul to the trainee life...
Bobby realesed a solo album back november last year -great album, go check out lol-

I dont personally like Mr. Yang bc there are a lot a things about him that are really weird, he is not a really nice guy (wont get into this now), BUT in this matter -and usually about sharing profits from music and stuff- he does what is right... anyways, bobby is a true MVP

This video gets me everytime. Most people cry at B.I. But I started crying at Bobby's part and had no idea what he said, when I finally read it.....I bawled even harder.
A lot people don’t want to think that this survival show WIN is just a marketing strategy for both Team A and Team B but mostly for Team A and to hype up the debut for team A and an introduction to team B. It’s so oblivious when you realize that team A members are all older than team B and has already well known members(among public) in the group which give team B a lot of disadvantages because the winner of the show is voted by the public and fans which team A has but not team B. During the show, it mostly only show team A’s struggles and made them relatable to the audience and that how they gain support by the public, through emotions. While team B was shown as this perfect group of kids that keep winning the challenges and so full of themselves and people(mostly salty fans) started painting this image of ignorant group for team B and that’s how they started getting hates. Every single members of team A had their own screen times while Yunhyeong, donghyuk had barely any and couldn’t show any sides of them and people started calling them useless and unnecessary members. And then Mix and Match was made as a marketing strategy to debut iKON, again using emotions. I used to be so affected by this show when I was younger but than I realize it’s all marketing

It's weird. YG got WINNER and BLACKPINK wanting to perform on huge stages so badly but, no, let's make iKON do 4 concerts in 2 consecutive days. 3 fan meetings in a day. At the same time let's fly them to China for a survival show. Bobby couldn't go to see his parents for many years. He was motivated to win SMTM so he could use the money, see the parents and buy them a house in Korea.
I was always kinda mad how they lost and then YG sent B.I & Bobby to SMTM telling them if they dont win they can pack bags but they were also made to shoot Mix & Match at the same time. You can see how it took a toll on B.I because as the leader, he already had so much pressure to write, compose and produce stages and he felt personally responsible for everyone and then he had SMTM to deal with. It would have broken him if Yunhyeong, Donghyuk and June hadn't made it to the team. He ran away one day from YG for the whole day.
Btw iKON is releasing a follow up single on 5th march to extend return promotion as Love Scenario is still #1 on all charts.
