Hope you have enjoyed this one for the square plate? Would you like me to do more videos on the square plate with the flat braid?

I know that it has been 2 years since you posted this video, but I'm new to Kumihimo braid and I find I like the square plate better than the round one, so I'd love to see more videos on the square plate with the flat braid. Thank you for how clear you make the instructions. I really appreciate that you go slowly enough for us to see clearly what we need to do. Some tutorial videos rush through the steps so quickly that they are 3 steps ahead by the time the first step sinks in for me. Your advice on the tension is the most helpful that I've found so far, and I'm very happy at how my first attempt at this type of braiding has worked out. Thank you very much!

I am so glad that you explained that the braiding will be produceing an angled product. That is what mine kept doing and I thought I was doing something wrong on the tension but, couldn't figure out what it was. Such a great teacher. Thank you and please keep up your tutorial videos.

This video shows how to make a wider braid. You can add more cords for more width. ua-cam.com/video/pTJbItnwYOE/v-deo.html

Thank you for all your videos. You make this so easy to learn. I want to make a flat braid with one color on the outer column and the second color running down the middle. How would I do that or do you have a video already that shows this? I was not able to locate it on your web site. Thank you so much for all your sharing.

For the other braid you showed, that had a wider band for zig zag, in what order do you place your chords?

Anne Rawls Thank you so much Anne. My weight is actually sold as a table cloth weight and I have decorated it with patina paints.

Hello! I've been binging on these videos for a while now, and I was wondering if there was a flat braid variation that is 22-25cm wide? Thank you so much for filling my days with calm, inspiring content!

Foxmire You would not be able to make something that wide on a regular square plate. Perhaps you could try making a bigger version yourself.
