I got a bmw e87 2006 model 120d running 260bhp at the rear but anyways i got heated seats if i turn on the button it stays on passenger seat to but there is no heat at all ?? What can this be a fuse for the heating under the seat ? Please react
Hi Ryan. On my X3 with automatic seat control the bottom heating does not work but the back heating works. Any thoughts on what might be the issue? FYI, unlike your case, my seat heater switch stays on and that is why the back works but the bottom is not working. You are saying that if it is the case that the bottom heating element is broken then the module should shut off because it detects an open circuit? So that means it may not be the broken element issue and maybe a faulty module? Could a module be faulty and only allow the back to work and not the bottom? I will have to try and swap the modules but that also may be a problem because it is automatic seats and they may not be compatible between driver and passenger. Go Korea in the World Cup Qatar!!!
My driver side have memory feature and passenger side is not. Although i did switch module, it still functional. I would change your module first and see how that goes. I think mine might be shorted(so it detects high current in circuitry). Yours might be open and still top portion work. I would imagine circuit shut off only kicks in when it is shorted
@@crusherrr1753 No I haven't looked into it yet. I suspect it is the heating pad itself that is faulty and not the module. Too cold right now to remove seats and switch up modules to confirm. Canada EH?

I would check your heated seat module under your seat. (swap passenger and driver to see it makes any difference)
