    Advice: if you don't get offered what you say (even by a little bit), tell them to get lost and move on. Simple. Never sell yourself short for a greedy company.

    Thank you for your beautiful presentation and information. All is true but as Ann mention companies post salary for some entry position and they still want to have the upper hand for negotiation. I really enjoyed and learned something new from you. All the best

    It's crazy because I've applied for a job that offers 8-20 dollars per hour, and when they asked about my desired salary, I asked for 10 dollars per hour without knowing these tips. Thing is... I got to the next step lol

    What if a company decline your application and then call back with the same offer?

    I had a talk on salary in the first phone interview-whatever they said, I was okay with it. Do you think I should have raised this point in the second interview?

    I am competing against kids who live with their parents and therefor, will accept a low hourly wage- it even sounds like riches to them. How do you recommend I compete with that?

    I took a Pre-employment exam designed to 'wash out' candidates. The Lead Recruiter sent me job description details, including a rate of $22/hr. I researched what the job was worth and found the same position and job description posted by the recruiting agency, although it was a hybrid role in another state at a rate of $25.93/hr.
    How do you negotiate the other salary?

    If you've done your homework, you should not need to ask "what is the salary range for this position?" This makes you look unprepared.

    This is out dated information. Most companies of any medium to large size has a pre determined salary range. Most employers ask you to state an expected salary on the website application and won't let you get away with leaving it blank.

    Performance review cycles are absolutely not negotiable at any legitimate company.... that would be such a liability. If the company has different cycles for different employees I'd consider that a huge red flag

    • @ElaBB2020
      @ElaBB2020 2 роки тому

      They are not saying that you ask for a shorter review cycle, it's more on if they have quarterly reviews vs companies who do yearly reviews. Government agencies have step increases, but certain agencies can have additional step opportunities to get through the ranks faster and these are labeled as "quality step" increases to help with the promotion cycle. Again, different companies and sectors, but these options are also based on different merits.
