AWESOME VIDEO! Maybe the most comprehensive video on Bolete mushrooms have i seen. Been hunting for about 5 years now and continously refining my knowledge and this one has been a big help.
Thank you for sharing this. I tried to watch the original zoom but could not see the left side of the screen with the mushrooms. I tried to adjust my settings but nothing worked. It was enjoyable listening about the mushrooms but so much better to now see what was being said. Great presentation
Adam Haritan of the Learn Your Land channel did a video about the Lilac Brown Bolete recently; he's an avid forager, and extremely knowledgeable/experienced, but he won't chance eating a Lilac Brown.
Tylopilus felleus, tge bitter bolete has a slight pinkish tinge to the pores that in my experience is an immediate identifier. The nibble and spit test will confirm it, but you wanna make sure you have something to drink with you because you'll be tasting that little nibble for the next half hour!
i reject mushroom id websites that avoid the edibility / toxicity information. that IS the main information the majority of people WANT to know about a mushroom. I delete that website instantly.
Nothing is more irritating than a presentation with microphone sound problem in the middle. Make sure your equipment is a minimum of quality before bothering making a video. This is substandard sound. Ok the rest of the video is fine.
Thank you Camden Public Library, Greg Marley and the Maine Mycological Association!
