I think Nike makes the fake ones too just to capitalize on everyone's spending ability. They charge higher for the authentic and replica licensed jerseys, and make the knock offs that include miss placement of tags to keep the higher spenders spending, because if the knock offs are identical nobody would pay the higher price. Nike can own factories and distribute under names other than Nike.

Yep, mine looked nice on stitching & everything (although I have to go back and re-check that long patch for the name). My 1st indication of unauthorized was, when I took it out of the wash to hang dry. The stripes on the sleeves STUCK together and were hard to pull apart. Leaving some of the stripe/s ruined. The pressed on "size" tag on the back is no longer attached. This is all after 4 washes, only. Filed a complaint on ebay and have been issued a refund. LESSON LEARNED. Although it's hard to find a Stitched Name & Number Jersey out there this year. Even at the authorized stores; that don't cost multiple hundreds of dollars. And I'm definitely that that big of a fan to chance it. Known my luck, they would get traded or swallowed up in the free agency market, the day after I spend multiple hundreds of dollars on one. 😄

Mother in law bought some 49ers jerseys for me for Christmas it looked different from my other jerseys that I had so I had a hunch they weren’t authentic but the thought counts and I think I’ll hang them up or find another use for them. Any ideas?
Use them for going out, watching the game. If they get stained, it don't matter. Or you could get them signed, and frame them. They are good for that too.

The reason why because you could have a real authentic jersey but it might be a year old so the design is different. It does not mean it’s fake. Like some teams authentic old version might have used screen printed numbers and the next version might have been tackled trilled stitched numbers. So it’s better to compare old with old and new with new. Also gameday vs elite bs limited

At least I still feel I got what I paid for. Would have been pretty upset if I had spent $150 or more. Another big thing I see now besides the change of the stitching across the panels and the size of my numbers my authentic had the serial number on the jock tag and the knockoffs seem to have it on the inside tag. I didn’t hear you touch on that is this the case or just this new years difference?

I see the clear difference in my fanatics jersey that I was asking about the serial number being on the inside tag verse the knockoffs I can now spot thanks to this video. My custom looks just like the Jefferson jersey as far as stitching and design. The jerseys I ordered from eBay are everything the knockoff shows from the cut to the collar.

the knock off's don't have the Nike tag in there. they might have a wash tag but the Nike tag underneather almost never happens
