100% true. I have been switching between Xero shoes (and some sandals my sister bought for me in Jerusalem) for the past 5 years. Zero back problems. I just bought a pair of cute leather clogs with a 2" heel and within a week had painful lower back issues. Out of necessity I'm switching to ALL minimalist, zero drop shoes. Thanks for the video!!!
Good stuff and agreed on the look and design of most barefoot shoes. They remind me of when car companies started selling electric-hybrid cars back in the 1990s and early 2000s - they all looked weird and odd. I have a pair of Vans slip-ons arriving shortly and going to give them a try.
Hey! I've just removed the glue insoles in my 2 pair of converse low,the same ones before I was not able to ware due to being very narrow and uncomfortable on the hills,am transitioning to bare food, wish me luck!
Nice! btw converse is now offering wide width options for a few models/colors, including the classic chuck taylors. Also worth checking out the Keen Coronado models, they're a little narrower than normal Keen shoes, which are normally really wide.
You are damn right about the zero drop, when I removed the heels of my Clarks desert boots they were even more awesome ! May I suggest you try and experiment with different insoles which have different thicknesses, works out for me pretty good ! All the best.
Have you tried anything else/new with the work boots? I’m trying to transition into barefoot/zero drop but need a safety toe for work please let me know any other info you’ve discovered Thanks!
The only thing I can suggest is finding a steel toe workboot that comes in WIDE then bring it to a shoe guy and have the sole changed to a zero drop sole - if I had the capitol I'd be designing barefoot workboots
it doesn't look like you did a review for the pf flyers. are they any good? i heard converse are too narrow do the pf flyers have a nice wide toe box? inquiring minds would like to know! :) thanks
I ordered my regular zize 10 but they do seem a little longer which works in our favor. I recently picked up another pair of Pro-Keds and they were the same so I'm finding the Pro-Keds run about a half size larger...
@@AstroVanTribe they have more on the pf flyer website but they saying we recmonnded converting 1.5 sizes down from women I'm scared if the sizes I get them screwed
@lIDomoTheGoatIl sorry, was looking at this on my phone so it's a tiny thumbnail- I thought this was my Pro-Keds video I'm not happy with the PF Flyers, the toe box was still too narrow for me. I prefer the Pro-Keds... what size do you wear? I'm looking to unload these PF Flyers
If you spent some money on a set of doctor made heel inserts, you'd have less foot pain. Those Spenco are one size fits all. Custom fitted heal inserts from a podiatrist are wonderful .
I have $1000 worth of pathetic Orthotics designed for my wife before I knew her. She had zero arch. Flat feet. Just a terrible mess. In 2008, we spent $300 on some Vibram Five Fingers which were cool but came unglued in the worst way. I was very upset. Just garbage glue they use in China. They are not American made. But we continued on trying everything zero drop. She has arches. Toes are nice. She has much better balance. I bought two pair of Merrells. Their are garbage. They came unglued and the fabric fell apart. They are like Vibram. Made in China. The company does not stand behind them. Tevas use crap glue too and fall apart. The more mushy distance between foot and surface, the higher the probability of turning ankles and causing body pain. Best of luck to you.
@@AstroVanTribe Yeah dude, I have had tons of foot problems from the Army. Tried orthotics from the V.A. and from a doctor. As soon as I tried zero drop shoes, all issues went away.

In real barefoot shoes the toebox is wider than in the pf flyers
Yep, I didn't like these... I'm sticking with the Pro-Keds

I didn't like the PF Flyers - the toebox was a bit too tight for me - SO far the Pro Keds are the best ones I've found
@@AstroVanTribe ok thanks!

No, do the research, the orthodics are actually the problem - you do not want any rise to the heal - research barefoot Shoes, walking barefoot, etc...
