      I personally tailor my passwords to the websites i am using them on and use whatever year we're in with an "!" at the end

      @@geoffreygiraffe1675 Nice! It's good to have a system in place which you can remember and use across multiple websites

    I don't use face ID because my friends just point the phone at my face and start using it

    So the fact that both the passwords B and C use capital letters it still doesn't make them stronger? Because I don't think you included that aspect in your calculations

      @SurfsharkAcademy  Рік тому +6

      Hey sorry for late reply, I did include that in the calculations as using just lower case characters would equal to just 26 variations, but using both is double that equaling to 52

      @@SurfsharkAcademyI know I am one year later but pin the comment saying this.

    I know a perfect way to create a really strong password.
    Step 1: Get a cat.
    Step 2: Let the cat mash all over the keyboard. And thats it. The password is really strong but not memorable.
    I may or may have done this and reset my password over and over again.

    So to simplify "the best password" (according to Security+ training, that is.. the industry standard CyberSecurity certification training- yes I am Security+ certified), the "most secure passwrod" is not a password at all, but a "random pass phrase."
    A "random pass phrase" is taking random words with no relation to each other (3-5 is plenty) and selecting a random character to separate the words, add a number to one of the words randomly.. Ex. "Snow8+Tequila+Warehouse". You can make them more secure by randomizing the symbol for each separation, using special characters for some letters.
    This is recommended because, well, it's as secure as anything else out there (like the video says, "number of possible characters at each position to the power of how many positions") while easier to the human eye so easier to type in when having to manually do so. The random words helps eliminate speedier hacking from. (i forget the official term now sorry) commonly used phrases and passwords as well. (If the Seattle Seahawks just won the super bowl, hackers will likely add to their password hack algorithm phrases like "SeattleSeahawks" or "SeahawksSuperBowlChamps" or "SeahawksSuperBowlXXVIIX" to quickly see crack anything like that before going character by character.
    Hope this helps!

      Ah content de lire cela car c'est la méthode que j'utilise : une phrase courte, (jamais la même évidemment) + 1 ou 2 caractères + chiffres 👍

      Three words from a list of about 10,000 words = 1,000,000,000,000 combinations. Add in a single digit after one of the words and one of ten possible symbols between each word = 3,000,000,000,000,000 combinations.
      Assuming one hundred billion guesses per second ~ 3 hours to crack. Granted they would have to know you're doing exactly this.
