Ever since I've discovered Korean skin care esp I'm From, they have entirely replaced my old sephora skin care faves. Recently caved in and picked up the cosrx entire snail line too and got many praises on how my skin is glowing
Cosrx snail mucin essence definitely the OG for a starter korean skincare. You can't really go wrong with it and it's safe for every type of skin. You never know how stress i am recommending this to my friend that have a sensitive acne prone skin. She didn't knew that she's sensitive and don't believe me when i said that she has a sensitive skin. She's even goes far to use Bha and the aztec clay mask on daily basis. BUT she's finally get the snail mucin and lovin it since then. In the end it's a happy ending although it's traumatized me (not her lol xD).
I use and LOVE the Cosrx Snail Radiance Dual Essence - one side is Snail mucin and the other is niacinamide radiance essence. Seems like you're one step ahead of the game making your own :)
I have half of this list as the foundation of my skincare routine, and that was thanks to you :) Thank you so much for your great attention to sensitive ski, and also focusing on soothing and healing products.
Proof that I mostly follow Kelly’s recommendations: Cosrx snail mucin: ordered and it is on its way ☑️ Missha time revolution: on my liked items. Not purchased yet. Missha artemisia: used several bottles 👌🏻 Benton BHA : on my liked items. Not purchased yet. Heimish cleanser: Currently using. Surprisingly somewhat drying👎🏻 Isntree green tea: have used. Was ok. Skinfood royal honey: Don’t dare to try. Had less than optimal reactions to propolis. Beauty of Joseon essence: currently in rotation. S’nice. Not awesome but nice. BoJ repair serum: bought but haven’t opened yet. High hopes. Laneige cream skin refuner: Have used a mini bottle. Won’t repurchase. Dr.C kombucha: curious but not bought yet I’m from rice toner: on my list. Waiting for a good sales price. Cosrx rice mask: currently in rotation. It’s ok. Definitely rich👍🏻
I love PKY Essence toner. Leaves my skin feeling so comfortable. I also like Heimish’s cleansing balm, Rovectin Cica care sleeping pack and Klairs rich moist soothing cream. Those are my current faves but it’s coming into winter here and my favourites change with the weather. These are good for me in winter 💖
Being a guy I would certainly recommend the mugwort essence after shaving!! Great product!!!.. I use the mist version from Missha... the ginseng essence and serum is also my favorite, especially before my retinol treatment...finally a moisturizer I still enjoy sometimes is the Dear klairs calming lotion....great selection by the way.🙂..there's a Japanese brand named SANA , very affordable, fragrance free and sensitive skin friendly ( at least in my experience) based on soy ingredients!! Highly recommended....
Hey, I'm a guy too, I just wanted to ask if you've ever tried to shave using cleansing oil ? Because you know it's not that stripping and you can just wash it off after shaving.
@@ToyCircle IF you use cerave products and your beard is not to heavy I also recomend the hydrating cleanser... it does not sting the eyes and you can just put it all over your face and beard and just shave!!! 2 steps in one.: like the oil cleansing technique!! thanks
There were only three I haven’t tried yet, but you have never steered me wrong so far. I do love your recommendations and I might end up trying the other three one day. My routine is now down to a perfect combination especially since we are experience colder weather down here. Stay healthy, safe and sane with love from Australia ❤️😊
In my opinion I'm From's Fig Essence is I'm From's version of the Cream Skin just like Dr. Ceuracle. I confess it is my favorite as Cream Skin is far 2 sticky 4 me while the Fig Essence swaps sticky for slippery. Dr Ceuracle I have on my desk... I mean I like shaking the bottle twice a day ;) For ginseng I believe you have to splurge... at 10 or 15 bucks is like asking for an expresso and getting american coffee (note: I am Italian so American coffee is just despicable for me ;) )
anyway the more I get into kbeauty the more I tend to stick to brands I like: Punkang Yul, I'm From, Rovectin.. Missha for the essences... which in a way is a shame as the low prices could be a huge driver for experimenting. But after a while u realise the Korean market is sooo saturated with clones... it's like everything is a copycat of something else that is also a dupe 4 something else... at that point I stick to what I know and eventually miss out on other things. They should do something about it.
Cos RX blackhead Power Liquid is a perfect example of a super gentle product being super effective in my opinion.. like u said great supportive ingredients
This is why I LOVEEE your recommendations!! The Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner and Purito Unscented Centella Serum are a staple on my routine! My sister also adores the Isntree Green Tea Toner! And now I'm really curious with the Beauty of Josoen Ginseng Essence!!!
I watch a decent amount of skin care on UA-cam and you are the only one that truly gets me passionate about a product enough to purchase it! I'm not even mad because I have loved everything that I've tried (a few are on this list!).
Kelly, you had me sold on the Ginseng Essence Water when you described it as "Lit from within" which is what I feel my skin truly needs. I ordered it and Cant Wait to try it out!!
I ❤ the Artemisia treatment essence. Im on my third bottle. Lol. It really helps calm and soothe my sensitive, redness prone skin. I also enjoyed the Missha red algae treatment essence! Actually I've tried all 3 of their treatment essences lol..
Looking glowing and gorgeous today Kelly. The Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water and Glow Serum for me. Truly amazing products thanks to your recommendation.
The more single-ingredience focus for Korean skincare might be nice. But to me, it is just overwhelming; too many options to choose from and potentially too many steps for me. All these products look nice, but basically, I wouldn't know where to start. Lol. Thank you for another good video with skin swatches! ❤
My one absolute Korean must-have is Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream! It's very moisturising but it's not heavy or greasy at all. It works perfectly for my combination skin, with very dry cheeks. I'll always have it in my stash (and just in case, I need to have at least one backup🤭).
@@crissyanderson6495 It's just like instant relief on the skin. My skin looks visibly less red and just feels lightly hydrated. I introduced it for the first time after I had reacted negatively to a couple other products and my skin was extra sensitized, and I feel like it helped bring things back to an equilibrium.
There’s been quite a bit of controversy about Keep Cool and how they handled their sunscreen issues. They initially threatened anyone that questioned their SPF with lawsuits when the whole Korean sunscreen thing was going on. No BS Beauty on youtube has a great video on it. I think it’s important to know about these things so we can decide if we want to support by continuing to purchase. Knowledge is Power!
Hi Kelly a lot of these mentioned are favourites, but for me where K beauty shines is toners, essences and sheet masks. I love a really hydrating toner as well as the richer emulsion toners (Laneige is a firm favourite) and Korean toners are fabulous for that (too many to mention lol). Essences are a really good way to amp up hydration with some more active ingredients and provide another layer to my really thirsty skin (I love the cosrx and missha time revolution shown as well as many others). It is possible to find Korean sheet masks without fragrance - which seems impossible in the Western market unfortunately. Most of my favourites are affordable - the Klairs soothing mask, the Benton centella rescue mask and the BOJ centella mask are my most used. I think we can get really elegant formulations, with good ingredients at a reasonable price and this isn't always the case with Western beauty. My absolute star ingredient from Korea is centella - my very dry, hypersensitive, rosacea and eczema prone skin LOVES it and I find it incredibly soothing/calming on the skin. I like green tea, snail, ferments, propolis etc etc, but centella is a wow for me and I can't be without it. This is a great list and some star products, but I have so many K beauty favourites it would take pages to list lol. Best wishes.
Great video! I can tell how I much I watch your videos because you've inspired me to get a lot of these products already :) Not only are these solid recommendations with great results, but also, I love how thorough you are with descriptions & detailed with ingredients. I learn so much from you. Thank you! 💛
Yes I've got 3/10 of these; COSRX Snail mucin Essence, COSRX Rice Mask & Benton Aloe BHA Toner! I am obsessed with all of these and have been using for a while ✨
I always have some Liquid Gold on hand- it’s so silky and I like the sea buckthorn smell. I also really like the Rovectin Barrier Cream- admittedly it’s pretty similar to CeraVe and Illyoon. They’re sisters, but not triplets.
What a nice roadshow of k beauty skincare steps, ingredients, and textures 😍😍😍 The true game changer for me is the I’m from mugwort line, especially the essence! I turn to it with any signs of redness or irritation, and it also works wonders on hands with all the heavy washing. Even use it in my kids’ hands and it always helps
the snail mucin was the first thing i bought :D i also love the missha artemissa essence as well, it does help calm the acne situation a lot. i remember watching one of your videos where you showed the SF honey propolis and it was wonderful to use during winter. the boj essence and serum is something i also enjoy as well. i need to slow down my ever growing skincare collecting.
Missha time revolution essence was my favorite until I found ISOI blemish care tonic essence. I got a 30ml free gift from the purchase of their most popular serum. I don’t like the serum that much because it balls up. But the essence works great for me, it has an instant cooling sensation, and my pores look tightened up immediately after use.
You never fail Kelly. Another fantastic video. Always so informative and explain everything so well. Loved these and use quite a few of these products and adore them. ❤️
Curious about green tea since I have acne prone but dry skin! Might pick up that isntree toner if it's on sale next time I buy refills, heard great things about Benton's too 🧐
3 months ago, I bought the All clean green cleanser based on your recommendation and i really like how gentle it is, it is a very straightforward cleanser👍🏻
When my skin is pissed off at me for over exfoliating (usually) that skinfood essence is right there on my rescue list along with Cosrx and pyungkang yul. It never lets me down and in a couple days I’m back to my previously 20 step routine (jk but it’s at least 7😂) Py and Cosrx are those no frills do the job they’re supposed to do products. I’ve never tried the missha products, and you said why. Thought it was just one of those over hyped products from back in the day. That one and the sk II one (I mean cmon $150 for a freaking essence). I’m still on a toner/essence no buy, but am finding out my skin is so normal now that my heavy essence’s are just that, too heavy in my nighttime routine. They’re ok in my more minimal morning routine still, and will probably come back in rotation once the ac’s start blasting here on the east coast. your videos are slowly taking over my skincare playlist of products I want to try. 🥰
I love your hair Kelly! You look absolutely beautiful! I need to try some of these products, my skin is irritated right now. I have sensitive skin with rosacea and so I definitely need something that will calm and soothe my skin. Thank you so much for sharing this and have a great evening! ❤️❤️
I think I like the cos rx propolis light ampoule a little better because it's not at all sticky. I feel skinfood is just slightly sticky in comparison to me. But it's to be expected with honey in it.
Missha First Essence is one of those that when I have it I always feel like it's not doing much but when I don't, I miss it right away hahaha. I also own the Heimish cleanser and it is such a good cleanser. The Illiyoon ATO Ceramide cream is an HG for me.
Love a lot of these products. I have the Cosrx snail essence on order. I love how my skin feels amazing and the Laneige cream refiner has helped my skin over winter. I’m using the I’m from rice cream currently and am enjoying it so far. I like the texture and consistency. Not Kbeauty but I’m a huge fan of the Inkey List oat cleansing balm which helps me remove my layers of sunscreen without stripping my skin. I also like the Kose premium day gel which I am currently using as my spf
Currently using the I’m from rice toner but i don’t seem to see much change. My Hada labo premium lotion does a better job as an hydrator. Can’t wait to try the purito unscented serun and the misha first treatment essence 😊
U r back with a great content!. Again happy to those products on your channel which we have got on your earlier recommendations.. keep making such all time favourite good korean products after every few months.. Looking Awesome today 😍
This makes me soooo happy dear Kelly 🥰I have the Purito serum , COSRX rice mask, Beauty of Joseon repair and Laneige skin refiner 👏👏 what a good teacher you are ! 💪🏼🤗 all the good stuff in my drawer 😉
I'm just getting started with K beauty and have watched many videos from you, James Cassandra etc. but so confused where to start. I am 60+ and have tried to take care of my skin, have normal to dry and some aging and sun spots. Can you recommend products to get started? Thank you
Kelly! 💕 I love this and I needed a reminder of not only some old favorites but also some products I've wanted to try for ages like the Skinfood Propolis Essence, which I'm putting down on the top of my list for the next order I place somewhere in the future. Talking about Missha FTEs has anyone tried the red algae one for an extended period of time and can compare it to the Artemisia (which is my HG since my skin is so sensitive)? Sidenote: it is so so helpful to see the inci list while you are talking about certain ingredients in the formulations. very considerate of you and highly appreciated!
Skinfood is worth a try when you get the chance. I've only tried the Red Algae for about a week but I think it inflamed my skin, I've been too busy/paranoid to try it again but I will eventually to see what's up. The texture is not at all like other missha essences it's kind of slippery and thicker.
I'll take your recommendation and will probably try it out during the season change into autumn. Oh boy, I'm sorry the red algae gave you problems, that's what I'm afraid of since it seems great but maybe a bit too potent for some? Trial size - if at all - it is then. Thanks Kelly.
Great video Kelly. Look forward to trying the heimish cleanser. The texture looks so good. My favs on ur list are the I’m from rice toner & the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng water. Much love 🤗 🤗
I received a free sample of Dr. Louie Revitalizing All in One Essence. OMG absolutely loved it. It felt sooooo good and hydrating, not greasy. On the website it says it’s a combination of a toner, essence and moisturizer. Unfortunately it’s also very expensive......but potentially 3 products in 1. Would love to know if anybody else has tried this product and your thoughts.
Your hair looks so good, have you dyed it recently? 😍 So many great recommendations 🙏🏻 I need to restock on serum and moisturizer, and both the hemish cleanser and the ginseng essence is in my cart. Excited to try them ✨ I love the rice toner, it has really helped my combo skin this winter. Was struggling with more dry patches than usual, and when I ran out of the rice toner it got worse. I quickly had to pick it up again and my skin got a lot better 👌🏼
Hey, have you ever tried Medi-Peel products? Do you think it is safe to incorporate the Peptide 9 Emulsion into the routine while trying to re-strengthen the damaged skin barrier?
Hey Kelly :D ! What do you think about the Benton in contrast comparison with Isntree? I find that many people prefer the Benton than the latter despite the amounts of ingredients the Isntree has to offer.
Hi Kelly! Do you have any thoughts on the Peace Slices Snail Rescue toner in comparison to the COSRX Snail Mucin essence? I’ll admit, the Peach Slices product is cheaper and I’m trying to save any $$ possible. Thanks!
I’m very confused with the difference between a toner and an essence. I put the toner on right after cleansing but don’t know where the essence fits in and what it’s purpose is. Have you tried Snow Fox Herbal Youth Tonic which is made in Taiwan? Phyllis Heller
Hi Kelly! There's this new korean skincare and cosmetics brand named Barr, I think you should check them out! 😆 They have a moisturizer called 'Centella Calming Barrier Cream' and it reminds me of you cus I know you love a healthy skin barrier (so do I!), so I thought you'd like it! ❤️
you know youre a kelly stan when you have used, are using, or planning to use every single product on this list!!
Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner is my favorite!
Same!! It's so hydrating, the texture is to die for.
Same! At first I didn’t know how to use it and it was drying my skin out but now I love it!

Love your videos!!! Could you make a video of K beauty products for mature skin (45+ years old)? 💗💗
U r back with a great content!. Again happy to those products on your channel which we have got on your earlier recommendations.. keep making such all time favourite good korean products after every few months.. Looking Awesome today 😍
Cosrx Snail mucin is definitely HG for my combination skin. I’ve used it for years and nothing come close.. nothing.
It's a classic for a reason, so good and lasts forever!
@@KellyDriscoll yes it does lasts forever. I’m gonna try B. Of Joseon Ginseng essence next xxx
I definitely have some of these products thanks to your recommendations x
iUnik propilis serum... love the stuff
Pyunkang Essence toner hands down, can't do skincare without it
This makes me soooo happy dear Kelly 🥰I have the Purito serum , COSRX rice mask, Beauty of Joseon repair and Laneige skin refiner 👏👏 what a good teacher you are ! 💪🏼🤗 all the good stuff in my drawer 😉
Love this video about your top 10. I already own more than half of them & totally agree.
Yessss so many of my faves on this list!! So happy I found your channel since I feel like a lot of your recs work really well for my skin type
I'm just getting started with K beauty and have watched many videos from you, James Cassandra etc. but so confused where to start. I am 60+ and have tried to take care of my skin, have normal to dry and some aging and sun spots. Can you recommend products to get started? Thank you
Great, great video n I love the descriptions of the products
Love this video, very informative, but I'm overwhelmed where to begin. What are the ten steps of Korean beauty? 🌻🌞📍🌼🦋
Kelly! 💕
I love this and I needed a reminder of not only some old favorites but also some products I've wanted to try for ages like the Skinfood Propolis Essence, which I'm putting down on the top of my list for the next order I place somewhere in the future.
Much love 🤗 🤗
hey kelly i just wanted to let you know that you can find the anessa sunscreen for 26$ on ebay. Hope this helps
Oooooh exciting to watch 🤩🤩 thanks Kelly
Loved this video. 😍💫
You made me discover propolis and I am *grateful!* ❤️🙏
Does the fermented mugwort in the Artemisia Essence provide some kind complexion benefits like brightening? Lots of love x
Thanks!
You always have great recommendations!
really excited to hear your thoughts of illiyoon new ceramide derma moisturizing facial cream!
Can you please suggest how to use Missha time revolution essence and cosrx snail mucin together in a skin care routine
Hi Kelly, please review the Missha Time Revolution Red Algae Treatment Essence. ❤️ from India
Kelly did you change your hair?? 🤔 toner maybe? It looks really rich and pretty. 😊😊
I’m very confused with the difference between a toner and an essence. I put the toner on right after cleansing but don’t know where the essence fits in and what it’s purpose is. Have you tried Snow Fox Herbal Youth Tonic which is made in Taiwan? Phyllis Heller
do you still like the keep cool and soothe toner and the ilyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream?
is there a good toner that has green tea and ginseng in it?
Cosrx good morning is def my faveees. Rn im trying axis-y gel cleanser but while using it, im missing cosrx loll i love that tea tree smell😫😫
Can I use purito centrella serum with klairs fundamental oil drop
Hi. Would like to know which is better klairs toner or hado labo hydrating toner?
Curate a cruelty free options? Glad that Purito and Cosrx are, unfortunately Missha isnt :(.
I enjoyed your reveiw! You make me want to buy more😆 and you pronounce "Joseon" RIGHT!!
I have two products from this list🤩
Ps. You look so pretty n would love a video on this look pls❤
Hi Kelly! There's this new korean skincare and cosmetics brand named Barr, I think you should check them out! 😆 They have a moisturizer called 'Centella Calming Barrier Cream' and it reminds me of you cus I know you love a healthy skin barrier (so do I!), so I thought you'd like it! ❤️
Wow I have half of these products, now I just have to try the ones I don't have lol, Thanks for this video 😘
